I worked with Mat C. He was THE BEST DJ I could ever have asked for. He is so friendly and listens to what you want and plans your wedding perfectly around it. He played all the music I asked for, plus played the perfect music when I ran out of ideas, and had all my guests on the dance floor all night! He absolutely helped make my wedding perfect, and I would recommend him to ANYONE!

Mat was the DJ for our wedding reception in Dallas (after we returned from our destination wedding). He rocked the place & was fun to work with leading up to our event. We appreciated his professional yet fun attitude! I'd definitely recommend him as a great DJ.

What music genres are in your collection?
50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Acoustic, Big Band, Classic Rock, Classical, Country, Dance, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Motown, Oldies, Orchestra, Pop, Rock, Strings
Do you have liability insurance?
No
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
No way! But I am a professional DJ Entertainer and song selection and event facilitation is what I do.
What is your usual attire?
"Sunday Best" i.e. shirt and Tie, unless a Tux is required.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
I can acquire any song, as long as I have the title, artist, or part of the lyrics.
How many other DJs do you work with?
8 or so (even an awsome Spanish DJ), depending on the style of event. I can always call in reinforcements if I am booked.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
None, I am yours for the whole day.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
I meet with clients at least twice.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
It is absolutely welcomed.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
Lighting/Visual: Uplights, projected monograms & logos, dance lighting, projectors & screens, pinspots, hanging lanterns, lots of lighting options.
Audio: Surrounding sound system, wireless microphones, subwoofer, the right equipment to produce the best sound.

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
I arrive about 2-3 hours before event start. A 6 ft table is always needed.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
I am an excellent MC and witty on the mic (humble too). I can be as amped or as subdued as you need me. ;)
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
Depends on event, here's an example for a wedding. I will play a slow song like "Can't Help Falling in Love" and invite all the couples to the dance floor. I will play another slow one and by then there are several people on the floor and my next song will be a funky song that everyone can groove to. I have employed this method alot and it works well.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
No breaks, but a plate of food is always welcomed.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
I work with several DJ's in DFW and will find a suitable replacement, it's all in the contract.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
Never, I am the client's for the whole day.
What is your overtime rate?
None, but if I do go longer than originally planned a tip is nice.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Only when I have to drive 50 or more miles, then it's $25 per 50 miles.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
50% down and balance week of event.

My answer is "What is right for the moment, your taste and style are reflected in my performance. That's how I utilize all the information from our consultations, e-mails, texts, and phone calls."
