My wedding cake turned out just like the picture I had brought into them to replicate! Kudos to the staff at Elite Sweets for their great tasting cakes and beautiful decoration- I wouldn't have gone anywhere else!

Excellent-tasting cake! They were willing to do a slight variation on one of their torts so we could have it as a wedding cake. They also covered ours in ganache, so we had a chocolate-fest for our most special dessert. Also, they do not recommend freezing the top layer for your first anniversary, as the cake doesn't really keep all that well. Instead, they will make you a tort cake gratis when the day comes around! Very generous of them.

You can't go wrong with Elite Sweets. You sample everything therefore you get what you pay for, A Good Cake! It was picture perfect, as well.

We loved the cake way too much. They were very professional and delicious. We will use Elite Sweets for all of our parties.

This was the best tasting wedding cake I have ever had, and my guests could not believe how good it was! In fact, you don't need any other dessert when you serve this cake! Also, the decorator followed my design perfectly and the cake looked beautiful! I would highly recommend Elite Sweets!

Elite Sweets makes the most delicious tortes in the Detroit area!I live in Grand Rapids, but am originally from the Detroit area. My family gets Tortes from Elite Sweets for just about every special event, and I love them so much that I had my sister drive them across the state for my wedding.We did not want a traditional wedding cake, so we opted to do a dessert table. We ordered several tortes, and many of their mini desserts. They were wonderful to work with, and were willing to decorate all of the tortes in our color theme. They looked so beautiful.If you do opt for the traditional wedding cake, it includes a torte (the same flavor as your cake) on your one year aniversary so that you do not have to freeze the wedding cake. I think that is terrific.

Our cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious, so Elite Sweets did a great job on that. They were not, however, the nicest people to work with. I live out of state so I made an appointment to taste cake and pick a design while I was in town one weekend. The people in the shop and the baker were reeeeeeeeeeally rude to me when we came in and we couldn't understand why. We had made an appointment and told them why were were coming, but they still seemed angry about it. Eventually their attitudes got better and I felt ok about using them for our cake...

So good. We've always used Elite Sweets for family functions when we needed cake. But our wedding cake was absolutely awesome! It was decorated beautifully and our guests thought it was the best cake they'd ever have (Cookies and Cream & Strawberry Shortcake). What's even better is that on our one year anniversary they will make us a new cake replicating the same flavors and design... how great is that?!

They're cake tasted great, and everyone at the reception was pleased. They were helpful in giving us samples when we arrived. However, I wasn't really pleased with the cake topper scenario. I had to make a trip out to show them the cake topper, and they just told me to leave it on the table at the reception. I felt like it was a wasted trip. Other than that, I was very pleased.

Cake was delicious and beautiful. We bought a small 2-tier cake for presentation, and sheet cake to feed the rest. Great value!

I was pleased that Elite Sweets was willing to copy a photo I brought in from the Knot and adapt it to our wedding colors. The cake arrived and looked JUST like the photo. The cake tasted amazing and was beautiful to look at. They offer a cheaper sheet cake option if you wish to purchase only half of your cake in the fancy wedding cake style and keep a sheet cake hidden in the back for the other half.The value was great, and the cake tasted AMAZING. I was so glad we had leftovers to take home.I agree with the other reviewers that the staff was not the best to work with. They called me several times the week before the wedding asking what I wanted. Sampling cakes is also difficult, since they require you to keep calling in every week or so and asking what types of cake they have available to sample.

Many of our guests complimented us on how wonderful the cake was - The Dynasty - chocolate cake, white frosting and raspberry filling - terrific! A great value as well.

We were very pleased with our experience with Elite Sweets. The cake was delicious--we received many compliments from our guests who thought the cake was both excellent tasting (we served 3 flavors: Lemon Raspberry, Chocolate Raspberry Chambord, and Cookies n' Cream) and excellent looking. Although Elite Sweets had many attractive designs to choose from, we asked them to recreate a design we had seen in a magazine and color match our color samples. Rose (one of the designers) was very helpful and patient with us. She did a great job making our cake look as close to the magazine design as possible and we received many compliments on how unique and beautiful our cake looked. The owner was also very helpful and came to help setup our cake himself to ensure it looked just right. We were happy with the way it turned out and it looked perfect in our venue. Prices here were very reasonable compared to other bakeries in the Metro Detroit area and we were very pleased with the end result and would recommend Elite Sweets to anyone needing a wedding cake. (FYI: the Godiva cake flavor was incredible--we'd definitely have chosen that one if we had tasted it before we had to make our flavor decisions!!)

OH MY GOD, this cake was the best slice of heaven I've ever had!!!!!!!!!!!! The cake was perfect, and they even called me to see how heavy my cake topper was, so that it wouldn't fall into it! Brian called me several times after I started changing flavors and sizes, etc. But we finally got it right! I screwed up and didn't call 2 weeks ahead to give them a final head count, so we were short a few pieces. I think some people wanted to lick the cake stand, it was that good! We got the bailey's irish bavarian cream filling, with chocolate and vanilla cake, with a white chocolate shaving icing. It was to die for. NO REGRETS THERE! I think my guests are now devoted customers of Elite Sweets, too!They deliver, but, they don't take credit cards, so bring your checkbook!

I was extremely disappointed in the cake that I purchased. It was the most unattractive wedding cake I have ever seen. The two layers were completely misproportioned and were not assembled straight. Though I gave them 10 yards of ribbon they failed to put the bows on as I asked (and confirmed) that they do. I showed them my cake topper (they had it in their hands) and they said they would prep the top of the cake accordingly. (They do not keep or add toppers.) When I received the cake there was a hole in the top; completely inappropriate for the topper they had seen! I had to fix the frosting myself before placing the topper on. When we called they put my mom on hold for at least 10-15 minutes and argued with us about what we had ordered rather than apologizing or trying to fix the problem. I will say the cake tasted delicious, but otherwise it was a complete disappointment.

The cake here is delicious, it is the best tasting wedding cake you will eat. The selection of flavors is incomprable to what the market offers around here.

Their cake taste amazing. I thought that their pricing was reasonable and their staff was pleasant. Their cake is moist and isn’t just ordinary white cake. We had the raspberry Bavarian cream and Godiva chocolate for our flavors. Everyone that we talked to loved it; we could not have been happier. In addition, they did an excellent job duplicating a picture of a cake that I wanted. My only wish would be that they had a larger store. Because then they would be able to wait on more customers, especially on the weekends.

WOW! The cake was gorgeous and very unique, my guests had never seen anything like it! Even better than the appearance was the taste, my wedding cake had 4 flavors and they were incredible. My family is now orderinng all their birthday cakes from Elite Sweets (we're addicted).

The only reason Elite Sweets isn't getting 5 of 5 is because the flowers were missing from our cake. The cake was still pretty and it taste great also.

Elite Sweets makes the most delicious cakes ever. They let us try so many flavors before deciding on three. We were so happy with the way the cake looked and even more happy with how it tasted. We had about 50 extra slices in case people wanted to try two flavors; it was completely gone at the end of the night!

AMAZING cakes! My family has always gone here for special occasions, and they definitely did the job for my wedding. The design was amazing, the taste of the cake was to die for. Not to mention we got a free anniversary cake! The compliments were awesome! BOOK THEM NOW!

We decided to be untraditional and have cupcakes instead of a cake for our guests! They were the best cupcakes I have ever had. They also did a small traditional cake for us to cut that was chocolate gnache and it was delicious as well. I went to them only a month prior to my wedding and they fit me into their schedule and set up my cake and 350 cupcakes as well. This is now the only bakery I use and it's located an hour away from my home!

My wedding cake was so good, there was nothing left!!! Unbelievable taste and quality. Many guests commented to me at the reception how good the cake was. At our 1 year anniversary, they gave us a free cake. My husband who used to be a wedding photographer, and tasted a lot of cakes, said that it was the best wedding cake he ever tasted-period.

We got our wedding cake here and because I'm not a cake person, but my husband is, we merely picked one of their specialty cakes out of their cases and had them tier it. It was probably the most amazing and different looking wedding cake we'd ever seen. But, then again, it was also the cheapest and least maintenance cake ever! They're wedding cake prices I don't know anything about, but their other cake prices are very reasonable and we received a full cake on our 1 year anniversary from them for free. Highly recommended!

OMG if you want an amazing cake that both looks and TASTES good then this is the place for you to go. I have been getting cakes here for 10 years! Birthdays, Just Because, Mother's Day, WEDDINGS! They have the most beautiful cakes you will ever see. Not to mention the cake is NEVER dry or tasteless but the complete opposite. They have about 30 different flavors of cakes plus seasonal cakes too. They also have tarts, pies, cookies, cannolis, the list goes on. The only downfall is that they are a bit pricey. But for my personal taste it was worth every penny! You cannot go wrong with them and they are super easy to work with and know their cakes. Any recommendation they have listen they been in business for a long long time!

The cakes are delicious and they have a variety of options in styles and flavors. I have purchased baked goods, cakes and pies from this store prior to my wedding. I knew that this was the place where I would order my wedding cake since they have always been so friendly and knowledgeable. They were also prompt with delivery. In addition to the wedding cake, we received a free cake for our one year anniversary. Payment is cash or check only, no credit card, which is the only disadvantage.

The cake was gorgeous, white alpine tiered cake. I had fresh red roses put around each layer. I couldnt believe it. The cake was fresh, moist and wonderful!
