Very professional staff who have years of experience to combat any glitch. Sales representatives were accommodating to a lower budget than typical for the vendor. Delicious, eye-appealing.

Our tasting was phenomenal! We had so many samples that we didn't need dinner afterwards! The setting was peaceful, intimate, and enjoyable. We got to meet our Chef and got all our questions answered! The food, food choices, and various package options are AMAZING! You can choose from sit-down, semi sit-down, or buffet. Kids 3 and under are free, and 4-20 receive a discount, since they cannot consume alcohol. They also offer various linens and china to make your day just what you envision it to be!

Zilli Hospitality Group was wonderful! Our wedding reception was held at the Mitchell Park Domes, and it was beautiful. The staff members at Zilli were there for our every need and question throughout the planning process. Plus, we received tons of compliments during our reception. They truly exceeded our expectations!

I really enjoyed working with Zilli's. They were so professional and really gave us a great experience. They worked with us on costs and menu choices. Their food was absolutely amazing and all of our guests complimented the dinner. My fiance wanted a bbq glazed pork and they didn't have that as an option but their chef was able to make something just for us and it was so great! I highly recommend them!

They were the best out of the three caters we visited. Paula, our wedding planner, was very nice and flexibility with our food allergies and budget. Our wedding reception went flawless! The food was delicious as it was from our tasting and the staff were professional. One of them even brought my grandmother a dinner plate from the buffet so that she didn't have to stand in line. They made our wedding a memorable night!!!

Zilli Hospitality was the caterer for my daughter's August, 2010 wedding at the Elm Grove Woman's Club. The food and service were outstanding and perfect in every aspect from the attentive staff on site to the abundance and superb quality of the food. Our guests raved about the tasty buffet offerings and late night snacks! We used Zilli's for both our food and beverages, making for a very easy event. We could not have been more pleased with every aspect of working with Zilli's!

As a Event Planner for more than 20 years, the wedding this past weekend, September 24th was one of the smoothest I have done with catering companies. Zilli provided up to date information, sales force was in constant contact, and the event manager for the day was beyond accommodating. Having done events all over the world, saying that this company is top notch is an understatement. I had not one single issue with food or service. Paul was a real gem to get last minute changes done quickly and efficiently and Megan who was the lead server, by far a person who loves her job and it shows via her customer service skills. Candy and her staff of miracle workers took great care of both the bridal party and the guests.

Food was out of this world, nothing less than 5 stars with beautiful displays and smiling servers. This is a gem of a company to deal with from start to finish, no glitches, no headache and no nonsense.

Any bride thinking of an event that involves Zilli, should not look any further and any event planner that can use them should do so without a further thought. A+++++ on the entire process.

Thank goodness there is still a catering company that knows how to go the extra mile. This is a rarity in this day and age. Bravo Zilli.......I will be working with you again. It was a total pleasure!

I was thrilled with the food. My contact at Ellen Zilli's was very quick to respond to my many questions. She always had an answer or a solution for me. Ellen's was very flexible with all my requests. The food was delicious and was elegant looking as well. They provided the bartending services too, which I was also pleased with. My only criticism was that the drinks were served in plastic cups, which I was surprised by. They looked tacky. All the other plates, silverware, and glasses were glass or metal, not plastic. Next time I'd ask for glasses at the bar.

Zilli was a great caterer. Our wedding was in Green Lake, WI and there were no issues using them even though they are out of Milwaukee. Their food is excellent and there were so many compliments. Zilli easily accomodated every request - including a pig roast. They even threw in a few surprises that I didn't know were going to be included! It was a pleasure to work with them.

Coast did an amazing job for our wedding reception. The food was outstanding and the service was great. The staff was very flexible on our wedding day and were there whenever we needed anything at all. We received many compliments about ambiance and food, and had a few guests tell us it was the nicest wedding reception they had ever been to.

The food was amazing, the price was amazing and the overall experience of the catering was awesome!

Annette was absolutely wonderful throughout the planning. She was so very informative regarding every aspect, thinking of things I had not thought of! Every meeting with her was an opportunity to try the fantastic cooking. Catering is in one lump sum, which includes tax and gratuity. They have many, many styles and options for meals and meal presentation, and seem very excited about trying new ideas that the bridal couple have (i.e. a caramel apple bar at the end of the evening for a fall wedding).

My husband and I decided to have a cocktail wedding reception and looked into many caterers to do the hors d'oeuvres for us. Zilli's prices were on the lower end of the offers we received. They were able to work with us when our venue changed, the food was delicious and the service was great. A lot of our guests complimented the food.

A great caterer. Exceptional food and service. We had compliments all night about how great the food was. Maybe a little expensive but completely worth it. The consultant that we met with was very attentive and made sure that we were comfortable with everything we chose.

Excellent food! Our guest loved it and we were able to have a mostly vegetarian meal with no problems. They also gave us a special deal because our wedding was on a Sunday. There weren't a huge amount of options in a basic price range for table settings and supplies, but the ones we did have were great.

This was some of the best food we have ever had. To this day people still comment about the food we had at our wedding.

We had gotten cost information from Zilli's at one of the bridal shows. We went to the tasting and were sold on the food - my husband still raves about it! After dealing with them for a few days, we were told we were given the wrong price list and that for our venue the cost was significantly higher. After some back and forth, they agreed to honor the original pricing we received if we guaranteed a certain headcount. Despite that one snafu, everything was great. They were very accomodating, and checked in with us several times during the reception to make sure everything was to our liking. While they are a bit pricier, I'd highly recommend them to cater your event - the food is fantastic!

Zilli's was FANTASTIC in working with us. The food was delicious (We went the buffet route), though a little spendy. Delicious, though, and helpful every step of the way.

We considered two caterers, and the side-by side comparison offered by Zilli's not only showed us the cost difference between the two (Zilli's just couldn't be beat) but also guaranteed our quoted price (a year our from the wedding). They worked with us through menu changes, venue changes, event size changes and last minute requests for things like high chairs and booster seats. Our guests told us all night, and continue to tell us, how great the food was! We were thrilled to work with them and would have no doubts choosing them to cater the next party we decide to throw!!

The appetizers served during cocktail hour were really good. I can't remember much of the dinner and did not actually that much just due to being busy. The staff was very friendly to all of my guests and very professional. We used Ellen's for all of our rentals and everything was set up in a reasonable amount of time. I changed my mind often in the last 6 weeks before my wedding and the caterers were very accomodating each time. My only complaint was the degree of communication at the start of my planning. It often took a while for them to respond to my emails. However, as we got closer to the event they always responded promptly.

Zilli Hospitality Group, Milwaukee and Waukesha, provided the catering services for my daughter's wedding at the Charles Allis Art Museum in Milwaukee. All of our guests were raving about their plated dinners. They were served warm and delicious. Our family is very picky about their steaks and everyone thought the food was far superior to any wedding/catered food they have received.

The hand passed appetizers were also warm and much enjoyed. The young staff did an excellent job and were pleasant and professional.

We were completely satisfied with the evening service and food. We were so happy that our guests were so pleased.

Here's the bottom line - was the food good? The food was excellent! Guests put a lot of weight in the taste of the food, so we were happy with that. The only thing I wasn't happy with was that I worked with two people for 9 or 10 months as my event coordinators and then the DAY BEFORE I was assigned someone that I never met and that never introduced herself to me at the wedding. They also forgot to sit out our wedding cake, even though we provided them with a detailed timeline and they knew the cake was in the fridge. This created an awkward moment when we went to cut it and it wasn't there!

Everyone told us that our food was excellent and as much as I wanted a plated dinner, the buffet was sooo good. I was a little disappointed that I wasn't able to negotiate a little more in terms of making some substitutions, but I guess I don't know how difficult my requests were. They were able to quote me on some potential changes to the menu so I appreciated that.

Zilli's service and food the day of the wedding was great. Everyone complimented on the food. We also had the late night snack of mashed potatoes with toppings served in martini glasses, which was fun. It was a little bit difficult at times coordinating details before the wedding. Also, we rented our linens from them, and they came to set up the tables late, which messed up our plans for decorating a bit. Otherwise, everything else was good.

We were very happy with zilli's. They catered our reception at the Grain Exchange. We worked with Paula and found her to be wonderful. Almost three years after our wedding we still get compliments on our mashed potato bar! The food was delicious, presentation was great. The only complaint we had (and it was a very small thing) was that we paid for tealights to be placed strategically throughout the room and the catering staff forgot about them - we had to remind them to put them out and remind them again to light them. But not the kind of thing any of our guests would have noticed!

We did a brunch reception, and Zilli's had us convinced when they gave us a full, beautiful food presentation for myself, my fiance, and my parents. During the rest of the wedding planning they were constantly in contact and always helpful, for the most part returning calls and emails within a day or two. We had an outdoor wedding and they were prepared to help us with a backup plan in case of inclement weather. All of our guests were impressed with the quality of the food and the service as well. A bit more costly than other caterers but well worth it!

Ellen Zilli's provided exceptionals service with no hiccups. Definately worth the money spent.

Great location at Harbor Lights Room. Had whole park to use overlooking lake and art museum. Food was good accept beef was overcooked because we ran late. There was a leak in the AC so the floor underneath the head table was soaked. They were very polite and willing to work with all of my vendors. Very willing to let us in early to set up. Downside was we had to be out by 12:30.

Overall, I liked Zilli quite a bit. Our lower star ranking comes primarily from the fact that some of the waitstaff at our wedding was very rude (I heard a couple complaints from guests and I, the bride, also experienced it from one waitress). The food was amazing (we had the four interactive dinner stations), and everyone raved about how great everything tasted. The other big negative we experienced was that the other vendors weren't allowed to set up until an hour after we were promised they would be allowed access. This may be more the fault of the venue (the Mitchell Park Domes), but since Zilli's works with them exclusively and does all the work for private events, I feel they are also to blame. We were told by Zilli's our vendors could get in to set up at 4pm, an hour before the Domes close for set up. However, when our vendors arrived at 4pm they were told they couldn't enter and they weren't allowed to set up until after the Domes had closed (an hour later at 5pm). Since our ceremony was set to begin at 5:30pm, this delayed our ceremony and reception start time (which I found particularly frustrating b/c with a later event, I really wanted to get every minute out of it I could - instead I had to hide out in the bathroom so I wouldn't be seen by guests arriving while my groom ran around helping the vendors get everything going to minimize how late we started). That being said, I will say Heather, our wedding consultant at Zilli's, was great. She did an awesome job ensuring the services we got fit our needs and budget perfectly. If it weren't for the rude waitstaff and starting the event so late, this would have been a 5/5 rating.

The food was amazing, but we had some problems with getting responses from the catering staff during our planning. Everything turned out well in the end, but we were concerned for a while because of lack of communication (there was one time we never received an invoice and we had to contact them to pay).

It was a little stressful during planning and a bit pricey, but they were fantastic on the actual wedding day. They knew what we wanted and if they ran into any little problems - they took care of it without chasing down my husband or myself. It was wonderful to have them taking care of everything while we were occupied with guests, pictures, and constant questions from the DJ.

Professional, and competitive pricing. Sometimes hard to get a hold of close to wedding date which can be stressful. Everything was perfect the day of the the staff were great.

The food was great and so was the service during the reception. We were disappointed by the lack of flexibility in timing to set things up at the hall and some of the increases in costs for minimal additions (such as napkins during station service and additional costs for choosing particular food choices). All guests were pleased though so it worked out in the end.

We had to hire Zilli because they are the only caterer the domes lets you use. There food is fantastic and they have amazing choices and I am still hearing compliments about the food and its been two months. The downfall they did not tell us about the construction that was going on and when I found out about it they lied about the timeline and told me it would be done in a few months. A month before the wedding we met with the coordinator and she lied again and said it would be done before the wedding. I was super disappointed when the day of my wedding there where tarps everywhere outside it looked even worse then the first time I saw it. At least the inside was perfect but I really wanted to take more pictures outside since that was the reason we booked the domes because of the building. After the wedding my husband wrote her an email about how we were upset and felt that we where lied to about the timeline this time around they kept saying they said it would be done in April after the wedding even though we have emails from them stating they would be done. They prices I also felt where super high for a small wedding of 80

Great for the tasting, but a few disappointments the actual day. Chicken was a bit dry, they ran out of the mojito drink so we didn't get any, and were hard to get ahold of the week before. The table set up looked great though. The final price was quite a bit higher then the original estimate also.

They were harder to work with after they had our deposit. Many things told to us before we put down the money were suddenly different afterwards. They ripped us off by not serving the contracted beverages, they didn't bring the correct plates and tables that were in the contract, they dropped forks on the ground and then continued to place those forks at the place settings, they started the beer late, and the coordinator(who was not at the event) never communicated with the event manager.

Many things were screwed up, but I am trying to work things out.

Ellen Zilli’s Catering was a massive disappointment. When we initially met with them, we were promised we would be working with one person throughout the whole process of planning our wedding. Having one contact person was part of the reason we choose to work with them. This proved to not be the case and soon began receiving communication from multiple people. This would have been fine; however, these multiple staff from Ellen’s were not communicating with each other, leading to us feeling as if we needed to “babysit” Ellen Zilli’s to ensure our day was what we hoped for. The day of our wedding, they missed meals for people with special diet concerns and missed chairs for guests. Better communication and personnel work may make Ellen’s more wedding friendly.
