Eloquence String Quartet and Trio of Napa Valley

We decided last minute to have a string trio at our wedding. My husband and I are so happy we did! Eloquence was the perfect touch to our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour at Viansa winery. They can play anything from traditional Bach to modern day Coldplay. They were excellent, reasonably priced, and memorable.

The quartet played beautifully were flexible and responsive in our choice of music for both the ceremony and the reception. We would recommend them highly.

We hired Peggy Brady's Eloquence String Quartet, with a trumpet soloist, for our Napa Valley wedding ceremony and for the cocktail hour part of our reception, as well. To say we got good value is an understatement. Two out of the three pieces we wanted for the processional weren't in their repertoire, but they learned them for us, and Peggy did an AMAZING arrangement for Gustav Holst's Jupiter Hymn (if you're looking for an incredibly beautiful processional song, go to their website and listen to this one!). Even after the ceremony, the guests were gushing about the music -- especially that piece. And that's from people without any background or particular interest in classical music! The guests also gushed about the quality of the performances the quartet and trumpet provided. These musicians are members of the Marin County Philharmonic, and it shows! And the trumpet was SO worth the small extra charge! Doubled the wow factor of the music, and blended beautifully with the quartet.

At the reception, we also had two waltzes we wanted to dance to that weren't in the quartet's repertoire, and Peggy's group learned those for us, as well.

In addition, Peggy herself showed up at our wedding rehearsal, since it was an unusual venue and she wanted to make sure she planned the music right. She even played a solo rendition of each of the pieces as we rehearsed, which really helped everyone get their entrances right.

What's more, Peggy didn't even charge us extra for all that customization and help at the rehearsal. We, and all of our guests, were just completely blown away and over the moon thrilled with Peggy and her group. They made a special day one that people are still talking about!!!

Wow, Eloquence Strings were amazing for my daughter’s recent wedding at Meadowood Resort in St. Helena in 103 degree weather! What troopers! Very friendly and well versed in many classical pieces! The Eloquence String Trio that we hired for our event on 6/14/12 was professional, very easy to work with, and provided beautiful music that helped make our ceremony and our day very special.

I chose Eloquence String Trio to be my per-ceremony, ceremony, and cocktail hour musicians for my wedding this last weekend at Hans Fahden Vineyards in Calistoga. Working with Peggy was super easy - no fuss at all. She was able to provide me with song lists and suggestions that really helped me with my vision. They also have some songs available to hear on their website, so I was able to get a feeling about what everything would sound like.
My favorite moment of the day was after our "I do's," when my husband and I were doing our walk together down the aisle. His name is Jesse, and I wanted them to learn the 80's song "Jessie's Girl" and play it in violin (think "The Wedding Singer," 80's songs in violin! So funny). It was perfect - all of our guests loved it - and we will have that memory for the rest of our lives.

Eloquence String Quartet did an impeccable job playing at our ceremony. We absolutely loved it and their playing added just the right touch we were looking for. They also played during our cocktail hour. We were away taking additional pictures but heard from nearly every guest how the music added to the ambiance. The Quartet played beautifully with the singer we had during the ceremony and even invited our singer to join in on a few numbers during the cocktail hour. We highly recommend them to others.

Eloquent String Quartet was contacted less than a week before the wedding due to an unexpected glitch with another group. ESQ was very responsive and flexible in providing the music we requested: classical, jazz and romantic pop. They performed for a formal reception dinner, and their music made the evening more elegant.

Beautiful music, wonderful people and truly professionals! What I liked best is not having to worry about the music. If you hire them, you can check music off your to do list and enjoy the music!

Eloquence String Quartet was absolutely amazing and one of the best touches to our wedding! Everyone at the wedding commented on how touching the music was before and after the wedding ceremony as it brought tears to everyone's eyes. We used the Trio for the ceremony and cocktail hour, which were both outside. For the ceremony I thought it was really helpful they offered a suggestion of music groupings, alternative to the standard wedding music. Their music selections included many of my favorites. The trio's music added that extra romantic touch and made the ceremony very special. For the cocktail hour, they did a great job with upbeat and contemporary songs. Their entire performance was exactly what I wanted. Two of my guests who are engaged to be married even took their card for their wedding!

On May 14, 2011 we had our daughter’s destination wedding in Auberge du Soleil. Bride and groom are from New York. Guests were from all over the world. Everybody loved this quartet. I hired Eloquence Trio of Napa Valley for my duaghter's wedding at Auberge du Soleil. Their beautiful music added just the right feel to the ceremony and cocktail hour. Because I lived out of the area I wasn't able to meet with Peggy personally, however, this was not a problem. Their website allows you to hear many of their selections online. It was all I needed to know that Eloquence would provide us with the perfect music. I was very pleased and would recommend them to others looking to make their wedding day special, too.

Eloquence String Quartet played at our 7/17/10 wedding at Vintner's Inn. Our ceremony and cocktail hour music was wonderful. Eloquence strings just flowed in the background. Everyone loved that we had a recessional that was a more contemporary piece "1, 2, 3, 4" and raved about their rendition of "Paparazzi". Peggy was very easy to work with and very professional.

Eloquence String Quartet played beautiful classical music for our ceremony and fun contemporary music for our wedding dinner! All of our guests were blown away by their rendition of Lady Gaga Paparazzi! We loved having Eloquence String Quartet at our wedding!

Peggy was incredibly professional and easy to work with. This was one wedding job that was easy to take care of, and Peggy made it that way. Her website has a comprehensive list of songs, and suggestions of what they are appropriate for, which was really helpful. She was also very kind and delightful when I met her at the wedding. The cost seems very reasonable compared to what was out there, and I felt Peggy and her partner were superb musicians and added a definite level of class. Highly recommend.

Eloquence String Quartet did a fantastic job at my wedding. I hired a trio, and I thought they captured the right mood of music I had asked for. Peggy is great to work with, she was available when I had questions and did not stress me out at all --- perfect for a bride to be. She offered advice when I needed it on music selection and had great arrangements for a variety of songs - from classical to modern pop songs during cocktail hour. This is a great group to work with and they are reasonably priced.

They provided music for our ceremony. Since we had a destination wedding, we were not able to meet them. We did everything over the phone and they were fantastic. We highly recommend them!

The music for our wedding by the Eloquence Trio could not have been more perfect. At our first face-to-face meeting in Napa with Peggy we knew that we had found a violinist that was sensitive and caring about the type of music we wanted for our pre-wedding, cocktail hour and even our "custom" song for the recessional. We cannot recommend Eloquence high enough to anyone looking for quality musicianship, and a wide selection of music.
Even in our 107 degree weather for our outdoor wedding, Eloquence performed flawlessly.

Peggy and company from Eloquence Sring Quartet were great! We booked the quartet about 3-4 months before the wedding. They were very accomodating--they had an evening wedding booked already but still agreed to play our afternoon wedding. They worked well to coordinate with our pianist and singer--I didn't have to get involved, which was exactly what I wanted! I would absolutely recommend them without any reservations!

Nothing sets the tone and atmosphere of a wedding more than the music! I love working with Eloquence Strings, because they play the most beautiful music. They have a really wide range of songs available, from super traditional, to jazz/cocktail hour standards. My favorites lately have been current hits translated into beautiful renditions...so beautiful that you can hardly place that you're hearing the Black Eyed Peas, or for a more "classic" feel, some Led Zeppelin tunes.
