Emerald Bakery

As my rating shows it was a little difficult to get a hold of Mary at times, but she actually gave me her home number in order to make sure I was able to get in touch with her. We met with her a few months before the wedding. She drew the most amazing cake right there for us using our suggestions and pictures. She also gave us some of her suggestions, which we gladly took.

Our cake was AMAZING! It looked gorgeous, and better than the picture! Everyone at our wedding said how good the cake tasted, and we totally agreed! It was just perfect, and I would recommend Mary and Emerald's Bakery to anyone.

I had heard such good things about this bakery that even after having a few doubts, I went ahead and ordered my cake from them. Both times in the shop I spoke to Tracy. I had to talk to her over a large display cabinet and she always seemed very rushed and a little impatient. I brought them a picture of the cake when I paid in full 2 weeks ahead. I called the day before to confirm and reminded them of the delivery time. They didn't show up until nearly two hours late - after several phone calls and after most of my guests had arrived! And then, the cake did not look like my picture! Of course, it was too late to do anything. There were no apologies - no explanations. I would never use them again.

The cake was absolutely delicious - we had three different kinds (one in each tier). I wish I had more time the day of the wedding to actually have more than a bite of it, but oh well. It definitely did look beautiful. I had given Mary a picture of what I wanted it to look like - smooth whipped cream frosting with little decorative dots around the edge, with flowers placed strategically on each tier and on top. It looked exactly like I imagined! My only frustration was that Mary was difficult to get a hold of the week before the wedding. I eventually did get a hold of her and everything worked out great, but for a couple days there I did start to get a little stressed. Oh well - it was a wonderful day in the end!

Very delicious cake!!! High quality. Beautiful celtic knot design around the cake. The fondant tasted so good, much better than most wedding cakes I've ever had!!! Very nice people, great service. They designed our cake exactly how we wanted it to be. High recommended!

Mary was so easy to work with. I gave her the design I was using as a theme throughout my wedding; she encorporated it on the wedding cake in a beautiful subdued way. She understood the style and statement I was looking for; phemonenal service, excellent cake, will use again.

Best cake we've ever had! Stunning! Mary and Mike are SO great to work with!
