I still can remember as if it was yesterday when we met Emma and Josh in downtown Seattle for the first time. I walked out of the meeting telling my fiancee: "That's it, They are it. We are working with them. I love them!".They knew how to make us feel comfortable and free to express our vision for our wedding day. Their experience and professionalism was apparent. They had work with enough couples to know how to guide us to be our most authentic-selves on that special day.The communication piece which is usually a challenge with photographers was a breeze with Emma and Josh. They lived up to expectations they had set for themselves and were effective communicators. During our engagement session and our wedding shoot, they knew how to make us relax, laugh and have fun.They have captured some of the most amazing and creative pictures I have yet to see of myself and my wife. Though we are a mixed couple, the quality of the lighting and contrast is breath taking in our collection of pictures.I highly recommend this team of adorable and qualified professionals. You will not regret it.

We knew we had found our dream photographers as soon as we stumbled upon the website for emmajane photography. We felt so comfortable with Emma and Josh from the moment we first met, and became even more impressed as they showed genuine interest in not only what we wanted as clients, but also to know more about us as individuals and the love story we share. Emma and Josh did such an amazing job, going above and beyond any and all expectations. Having both a male and female photographer gave us such a wonderful variety of perspectives captured in the collection of photos. Being in front of their cameras felt effortless, but produced incredible results that only the most talented photographers can offer. They provided us pictures that are a personal reflection of who we are, but with an unmatched professional quality. Emma and Josh are GREAT! I met them at La Belle Elaines while trying on what seemed like 100 wedding dresses. I immediately loved them. They actually helped me decide on which wedding dress to purchase! The dress I picked out was perfect, and I may not have chosen it if it wasn't for their honesty on which ones they liked. (or didn't!) ;) I was immediately drawn to them and I hired them to do my wedding and they were so wonderful to work with. They were knowledgable, helpful, flexible, and FUNNY! I received many compliments from members of my wedding party on our big day, they were very impressed with their attentiveness and professionalism.

Emma shot our engagement pictures at Bothell Landing initially in the summer of 08'. She did such a fantastic job that we hired her to shoot our wedding as well! Emma is great to work with and she does an incredible job.
My husband and I being this our second wedding for both knew one of the things we wanted to spend our money on was photography.We had a small budget but knew photos of our day were very important.We found Emma through my husbands sister after we had been looking and were becoming quite frustrated with other vendors.We didn't want cookie cutter photos or posed photos, just natural photos of our day.We met with Emma and immediately liked her!Her sample pictures were enough for me and the fact that she said it was about us and what we wanted.It was our day and we make the decisions she was just there to shoot them.Not to mention for all we recieved and the amount of time we had her for was extremely affordable.Once the ceremony started we did not even see her or during the reception and that was another great plus.Nothing like having a photographer in your face and telling you how to pose or interupting things to get the shot.None of that with Emma!We had her for enough time that we went down to the beach on our georgous day and took more amazing photos.We also had a blast with her and her husband who made us feel so comfortable and at ease when you tend to feel stressed.It wasn't at all like having a photographer there but friends!We had a wonderful experience and would recommend her to anyone!

We take our creative storytelling to the next level by creating images that have a dramatic flair, but are also romantic. We like to shoot from the distance and catch candid moments. While we might help you with certain angles, we try not to use cookie cutter posing. You had a prom and we are not trying to go there....
We really try to capture modern wedding images, while still showing romantic imagery. We are always looking for nooks and crannies for our brides and groom to escape to for some fun. (not that kind of fun, tsk, tsk!) We stay up to date on fashion and trends, so that we can emulate some of the styles and get away from traditional wedding poses (no prom pose please).
Having fun taking the photos is a huge part of having images that rock supreme and isn't that the end goal? (besides marrying the love of your life?)
While we are based in Los Angeles, we also serve the O.C. and Ventura & Santa Barbara County areas. Don't happen to live there... that's cool too; we will travel to you (at an additional cost).
