I had an absolutely flawless experience with Emily. I originally had very (very!) little idea what kind of flowers, colors, or arrangements I wanted, but Emily somehow ascertained my style and came up with great ideas. She presented her ideas in a beautiful proposal complete with sketches of how each arrangement would look. She also has a beautiful office space for meetings. On our wedding day (in Lawrence, KS), the flowers looked amazing and I received so many compliments on them! Set up and delivery were on schedule, I had no worries and no stress about the flowers. I would definitely recommend Emily and Emmy-ray to anyone in the KC metro area or beyond. I can't say enough nice things!

Emily was fabulous! I had a very specific budget and gave her my dream flower scenario (which I knew wouldn't fit in my budget). She came up with a creative plan that exceeded my expectations. She offered to help brainstorm some money-saving DIY projects so I could do some of the decor. It all came together perfectly and within budget.

Emily was great to work with-- quiet, but very nice. She was flexible with our limited budget and so creative-- our flowers turned out AMAZING. I got so many compliments and lots of people asking for her contact information. She was reliable and easy to work with and contact-- the quality was gorgeous. I got all the flowers I wanted-- even when other florists told me that they weren't in my budget. She was great!

Emily did an amazing job, I gave her a picture of my dress and the little flower girl dresses, and she came up with the rest. All of the research in the world couldnt have been better than the flowers she put together for me, they were better than I had ever imagined and many of my guests agreed. Emily was the absolute best wedding vendor to work with. I did not have much of an idea of what I wanted my flowers to look like other than a color (purple!) but from meeting me with me, she was able to determine what I wanted. My flowers were so beautiful and ended up being the high point of my wedding even though I previously thought that I did not care too much about flowers. I cannot even count the number of compliments I received on the bouquets and flower arrangements. Many people said that they were the most beautiful wedding flowers they had ever seen. Emily comes with very high recommendation from this Kansas City bride!

The flowers that Emily designed for our daughters wedding were absolutely gorgeous, we received so compliments on them. Emily was fantastic to work with, being an artist she drew the designs so that we could see what they would look like. She took care of even the smallest details so that we did not have to worry about anything.

WOW! Our flowers were ridiculous for our wedding. They were the most beautiful things I have seen. You really did an amazing job Emily! You were on the ball with price and knew just what to do for us after only meeting us that first time. Our family and friends couldn't get over the centerpieces. I even had a few sit there and tell me which were their favs. Haha.
The bouquets and boutonnieres were fabulous too.Thank you for putting the charm with Kennie mother's picture in it, on his boutonniere. He was so surprised and so happy to have it.

After meeting with two other florists, I finally scheduled an appointment with Emily. It was refreshing to sit down with her for just 30 minutes and feel confident that she understood my vision and would be providing more than just florals for my event -- she's truly a designer. Shortly after I met with Emily prior I was alerted that I would need to get a new venue (sadly, I was a Stowe Bride), before I even had a chance to let her know, Emily sent me an email telling me how sorry she was to hear about what had happened and offered her help in any way. She takes the time to be there for suggestions and really wants your wedding day to be amazing. My flowers, centerpieces, and ceremony back drop were beautiful and creative. Creating the romantic ambiance I was envisioning. I received lots of compliments!

And to top it off she came in under budget! The two other florists? One never contacted me again after our meeting, and the other provided me with a proposal that was twice my budget.

Save time and money! Pick emmy-ray, I promise you won't be disappointed.

It was a breath of fresh air to meet Emily. I was frustrated thinking that since I don't have a platinum budget I wouldn't be able to have real flowers at the wedding. However, Emily is so creative and wonderful to work with. She made our small budget look like we spent an enormous amount of money on flowers. The room was breathtaking because of the flowers. Should I ever need flowers for another event, I will only go to Emily. She is fantastic. The best florist in Kansas City!

I got married in June 2011 and Emmy Ray was fantastic to work with from day one. I got married this summer and Emily did the flowers and decor for my ceremony and reception. Right from the start I had complete confidence in Emily. I had seen photos of her previous work and knew she was the florist for me. When we first talked she was on the same page as me, had unique ideas, and understood some of my more "out there" ideas. For those of you getting married, I'm sure you can relate to worrying and stressing over a million things before your wedding and wondering how it will all come together. I can honestly say that I was never once stressed about the job Emily would do. And I can't thank her enough for that. I was sure that the flowers and arrangements would be perfect and boy were they! My bouquet was full of beautiful flowers in all the colors I asked for. She even managed to throw these beautiful little black flowers in my bouquet as well as my bridesmaids. My girls could not stop talking about how pretty their bouquets were. My mom still has here corsage. She absolutely loved it. The multiple vases and vintage table runners that Emily arranged for the reception tables were so charming. That's exactly what I had asked for from the start. I felt like my wedding was vibrant, unique, and full of charm. I have Emily to thank for that. She is anything but typical. She is truly an original with impeccable taste. She really understands her brides and that is so comforting. I would highly recommend Emily for your wedding. She is the best around and I've never seen more beautiful flowers and arrangements.

Emily (emmy-ray) provided very high quality products at a very reasonable price for my wedding on 5/15/10. My flowers were so beautiful and even lasted (bridal bouquet and centerpieces) for over a week after the event took place! It was great to be able to look at such pretty flowers for that long! Emily was very professional and helpful. I am very indecisive and she was really patient with me and gave me many suggestions and ideas to help create my vision for my wedding day. In addition to my flowers, Emily designed my wedding programs, Save The Date cards and did all the table decorating for the reception. I couldn't have asked for a better florist/designer for my wedding!!

The flowers and hair ornaments Emily prepared for my daughter's wedding were gorgeous. We received many, many comments about the flowers.
Each piece was a work of art. Emily's understanding of texture, composition and color was evident in every bouquet, boutonnière and hair ornament. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were elegant with a hint of funky.

Emily is a delight to work with. From the first consult, we knew we wanted to work with her - and we were not disappointed. We gave her a lot of artistic freedom and were glad we did!

Emmy-Ray blew our minds with her floral arrangements for our wedding. I had no idea how much the flowers would mean to me, but they are among the most memorable visuals I have from our big day and they continue to make me happy through photos.

I decided to work with Emily because during our first meeting she had an incredibly enthusiastic, flexible and professional attitude. She followed up with phone calls and emails answering our questions promptly. I had vague ideas about the style of flower arrangements I wanted. Emily is a keen listener and captured the essence of our wedding perfectly. They were funky, bright, unique and elegant all at once.

In addition to the arrangements, she designed and assembled beautiful, peacock feather and flower hair pieces for my bridesmaids and grandmother. This was a late addition to our package, but she was eager and flexible to get the job done. My grandmother was so excited about her special hair piece.

Prices were beyond reasonable.

I was so proud to hold my bridal bouquet as I walked down the aisle and throughout the evening. More than a few people told me they were the coolest wedding flowers they had ever seen.

We were referred to Emily by a friend who had used her services previously. We found Emily to be very creative, responsive and unflappable. Although emmy-ray is a relatively small boutique florist, they easily managed a large wedding including the rehearsal dinner, wedding and morning after brunch. As a wedding photographer, I appreciate the powerful impact that a stunning bouquet makes to a Bride and her attendants in portraits. Emily and I have had several of the same clients and I have witnessed her designs in person they are just so lovely! She creates the most beautiful floral arrangements and the brides are always in awe when they are delivered!

When I think of Emmy-ray I think of three words. Caring, Classic, and Modern. I now those might not go together at first but when I look at her weddings I see a very modern approach to design, but with an eye toward a classic if not a vintage feel. On top of that she cares a lot about listening to her clients and incorporating who they are into what she does. From what I've seen of her work, she is a perfect choice for your wedding needs.
