I have to start by saying I DID purchase my dress at enchanting moments. They have exceptionally beautiful dresses, but like other review have said there is definitely something lacking in the customer service department and that is very unfortunate because I am worry that they lose a lot of sales due to their un-professionalism and quality of service.
That being said VADA, who does the alterations is FANTASTIC!!! She let me come in as many times as I wanted and was always very friendly and helpful. My dress fit perfectly, she does amazing work!!!
I purchased my wedding gown as well as my bridesmaid dresses from this shop. Don't let the small, quaint shop fool you - they have a beautiful selection of gowns and party dresses.
I did buy my dress there, and loved it more than anything in the world but I would have to agree with many other reviewers that the sales associates are very rude. It wasn't until they realized that many people in my family had bought from them did they become nice. It truly is unfortunate that they had to be so cold, because the dresses are gorgeous.
Felicia Batty and Vada at Enchanting Moments gave me an incredible "say yes to the dress" experience. The day of my appointment, I think I was the only bride in the store. Felicia sat down with me so that I could paint a picture of what my day looked like in my head, and then went to work to pull dresses she thought matched that look. She was spot on and we'd picked out my dress within 15 minutes. But I felt like with my appointment, I should at least try on a few more dresses and she was so much fun.
Vada was my seamstress. The dress fit me like a glove and she was able to finish my look. I recommend Enchanting Moments to all brides.
After being referred there by a friend who had great success with them, we decided to order our bridesmaids dresses from them.
A week prior to taking the girls there, I called to ask if an appointment was necessary for bridesmaids, I was told there wasn't any need for one and someone would be happy to help us when we got there. When we arrived we were immediately snapped at about how we didn't have an appointment and how they wouldn't serve us if we didn't. I pointed out that whoever I'd spoken to had said there was no need for one as we were only looking at bridesmaids dresses and that we were prepared to buy them that day. In a huff, the assistant that greeted us mumbled something under her breath as she walked off and got someone to help us. The selection was extremely limited and the girls had a hard time choosing something they liked when they couldn't try it on. The assistant helping us was less than useful. She grudgingly showed us catalogs from the designer and swatches, and had a "what you see is what you get" attitude about everything. Eventually the girls picked and paid for their dresses, and we were told there would be 8-12 weeks shipping on the dresses, meaning they'd be in by the end of August.
In the middle of August I received a phone call from the assistant that had helped us saying that the dress one of my bridesmaids picked wasn't available in navy, but it was available in midnight which, as she described it was a black with blue tint. At the time of ordering them I'd asked repeatedly that she double check and make sure all the dresses came in navy and she reassured me they did. When I asked what could be done about the situation, she snapped back at me saying that the BM had one of three dress choices and that's all they could offer us. I passed this on to the BM who dealt with the situation and ended up picking a different dress but no compensation for the inconvenience was offered and they couldn't even promise that it would be in 2 weeks before the wedding.
The other BM's dress didn't arrive for 17 weeks after ordering. We ordered the dresses in May and it didn't arrive until a week before the wedding- our wedding was Oct 3rd. The store couldn't explain what had taken so long, nor were they willing to work with us on tracking down the dress. When we requested the tracking number be faxed to me so that I could see exactly where it was in transit, they failed to fax it. They hung up on us repeatedly when we'd call to check on the status of it, never returned our calls and kept giving us incorrect dates as to when the dress would arrive. Thankfully when the dress did turn up, the bridesmaid didn't need any alterations. When my husband spoke with the store owner about the situation, they were far more polite to him but still unwilling to try and track down the missing dress until he threatened legal action against them.
I will not be referring them to anyone and I will never use them again for anything. They're overpriced, the store is grotty and outdated with miserable wenches for sales assistants and their customer service leaves something to be desired.
This was the first place I went to look for wedding dresses and it was a horrible, horrible experience from the get go. Someone recommended the store to me and so I called to try and make an appointment. I called and left three messages before someone called me back. When the sales associate, Lisa, did call me back I made an appointment and we discussed my size, budget, and styles I was interested in so that she could have dresses pulled for me when I arrived. When I showed up for my appointment she didn't have any dresses pulled for me and we had to sit down and go through everything again. I found a sample sale dress that I loved that day; however because it was the first place I looked I wanted to shop around a little. My mother and I explained this to the sales associate and while I was putting my clothes back on she cornered me and asked why I wasn't just going to get the dress now if I liked it so much! I feel that was very unprofessional of her and it made me very uncomfortable. After looking around, it WAS my favorite dress and despite the red flags, we called the store to order the dress the next week. When I was in the store trying the dress on we were told that because it was a sample sale we would pay half the cost of the dress when we ordered it and the other half when it came it. Well, when we called to order the dress (which again, required us to leave multiple messages and eventually speak to the owner -- who for some reason could not take the order herself -- before the sales associate returned our call) we were told that we had to pay for the dress in full in order for them to order it. It was a difficult task, but they agreed that we would pay half then and the other half when the dress came in because that was what we were told when we tried the dress on. Despite the store agreeing to this, they still charged the full amount to my credit card when we placed the order!!
Other people have had great experiences at this store and they DO have some beautiful dresses. I don't usually complain and I would never exagerrate and say that mediocore service was a disaster. But because of the continued poor service we received from Enchanting Moments I had to write this review. Hopefully this will prevent others from having a similar experience.
I went to the store on two occasions before with my friends for their wedding shopping and found out when they were having a sample sale. I had seen a wedding dress that I really loved, but it would have been too expensive for me to buy it at regular price. The sample sale was really good! I didn't get the dress I originally wanted, but I did get a beautiful dress for 75% off! I bought it thinking that even if I didn't wear it, I could still sell it on the internet and make a profit. They have some amazing dresses, but I guess a big draw back is that they don't show what dresses they have in stock on their webpage.
My bridesmaids were able to find their dresses here. They did not pick dresses from the sample sale, but they did get beautiful dresses for a great price. They looked amazing, and I think they will even be able to use the dresses again!
The service at Enchanting Moments from start to finish was exceptional. I felt like the only bride there, which certainly was not the case. My calls were always returned promptly and the sales team truly found me the perfect dress (even though I wasn't quite sure what that was!). They have ample supply of sample dresses for trying on, which was important since I am a larger size. The alterations process was so easy and they customized the dress exactly the way I wanted it. They seem to have options for any budget. Ask about sales especially for accessories (veil, etc).
