I am so thankful that we decided to hire Cindy, I don't know what I would have done with out her. Planning a wedding is a ton of work and Cindy took so much of that work off of me so I could just enjoy the process. The weather on the day of our wedding ended up being a lot cooler and windier than planned but I didn't have to worry about a thing because I knew Cindy would take care of it! After the wedding I have gotten a ton of compliments on the decor, food, band, etc. All of it wouldn't have been possible without Cindy's help. If you are looking for a wedding planner I would highly recommend her and her team!

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Engaging Events! I live in California so planning a wedding from across the country was difficult to say the least. Cindy not only made the planning part possible, but she made it enjoyable and there was nothing I had to really worry about. My husband and I made two trips to Chas. for planning, but besides that, much of our planning happend through email and phone calls. Cindy and Jessi thought of last minute details that never occured to me and made sure everything was perfect. I had a vision of what our wedding would be like and Cindy not only made that happen, but she made it our own. She listened to what we wanted, did research if needed, and allowed us to make decisions that would fit in our budget. I called every reference Cindy offered when it came down to picking our wedding planner and EVERYONE couldn't have been happier with her. That was a large deciding factor for me and if I had to do it all over again, I'd hire Cindy in a heartbeat. She's worth the money and you won't be dissappointed! I was a very happy bride!

Cindy and her team were a delight to work with! I think one of the characteristics that set her apart from the rest of the wedding planners I looked into was how not only she was proactive and efficient, but she made things simple for me to understand. Some brides have always known what they have wanted their wedding to be like, however I really was starting from nowhere and she made what seemed to me like a daunting process a stress free and fun activity for both me and my husband (who surprisingly wanted to be involved a ton!!). I think one of her strengths is that she is able to read people well and therefore accommodate brides and families of brides with the right amount of guidance. I also fell in love with her design and decorative style. Everything was simply stunning!!

I approached Cindy on short-notice, but she delivered as she promised. I feel she always listened attentively and voiced her opinion(s), when needed ~ but always kept my opinion(s) front and center. She never tried to make this 'her event', but stayed true to what I was envisioning for my event. A wonderful event planner!

Cindy and her team were amazing to work with. The wedding turned out perfect - even better than I could have imagined! From the band to the food and most of all, to the design of the wedding, Cindy was amazing. She provided helpful suggestions when we were completely lost and provided valuable advice. Cindy did an amazing job with the decorations - linens, flowers, couches, and tiny little touches could be seen everywhere. We did not have to worry about one single thing on our big day - Engaging Events handled everything and it was seamless!

Cindy and her team were more than exceptional. We live in Washington, DC and have family in Atlanta, GA, so we thought planning a wedding from two different locations would be a nightmare, but it ended up being a dream with Cindy's professionalism, passion and expertise.

Cindy did an INCREDIBLE job with our wedding. Having to plan a "destination" wedding could have been very stressful. After meeting Cindy however all of my nerves were calmed. Engaging Events took care of absolutely everything and I did not have a care in the world. Cindy and her team are truly an amazing group of people. They are very capable of creating anything you envision for your wedding day. Cindy is meticulous in everything she does and keeps track of all details pertaining to the wedding, vendors, receipts, deposits, etc. It sometimes took Cindy a few days to get back to me, but this meant that she was compiling the research and information needed to give me an answer. Now that my wedding is over, I miss Cindy tremendously. I would highly recommend her. The entire wedding planning process would have been so stressful without her. Instead, Cindy always gave me a small to do list and kept the ball rolling. My original decision was made to go with Engaging Events because of the initial phone call I had with Cindy- I just knew, before I even met her, that she was going to be great. I can't believe I even interviewed other companies- my initial gut feeling about Cindy was completely right- she is the best!

Absolutely a wonderful experience. Over the top on every single item. Could not say enough about how great the whole experience was. I feel like Cindy is truly a personal friend as well as an expert at her job. The whole weekend was absolutely perfect, not one detail missed and all of our guests wanted a "Cindy" for their events.

Extremely knowledgeable and great to work with! Made my dream come true

I was looking for a person who would listen to my daughter and respond to her needs. We were planning a wedding, each of us living in different states. This was a challenge for us. Cindy broke our anxiety down first with a "wish list" numbering 1-10 on importance for each of us and also including my future son-in-law on his wish list. Kudos to Cindy. She took that challenge and made us look at compromising to shape a spectacular wedding.

Engaging Events really made our wedding day care free for us. We got to enjoy every minute because Cindy handled everything perfectly. Her attention to detail, organization, and knowledge about all the different vendors made everything run smoothly. At the time leading up to the wedding my wife and i were living in separate states and only occasionally meeting to discuss wedding related issues. Cindy was able to manage our limited availability by having every agenda item expertly prepared prior to our meetings. This saved not only time, but limitless amounts of stress. My wife & I would happily recommend Cindy to any of our family or friends. This format is clearly too brief to list all of her qualities but we have no complaints and nothing but happy memories. We couldn't have pulled off our wedding without Engaging Events' help. Cindy and her team took the time to find out exactly what style, details, and budgetary issues were important to us. She set up an organized and precise budget that fit our needs, and made sure we followed it throughout the planning process. Not only did she listen to what we wanted in a wedding, she offered her own creative ideas that we never would have thought of ourselves.

Stress was never a factor for me. During the planning process, Cindy was the one who spoke with and resolved any issues with the vendors. All we had to do was make decisions when necessary, and send her the payments. She really amazed me on our wedding day. Everything went so smoothly. Even when something did go wrong - the icing on our cake melted because of the heat - Cindy did such a good job fixing it, I didn't even know it happened until the next day. When someone stepped on my bustle and popped a button, she was by my side in 2 seconds with a safety pin.

Our wedding was perfect, and I owe it all to Cindy. Her services were worth every penny, and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Cindy and her team are FANTASTIC! They made the whole process so much fun and ridiculously simple. I am awful at making decisions, so Cindy had her work cut out with me. She helped me narrow down what I wanted with ease. She also helped me stay within my budget, which was a definite must. Our wedding day went flawlessly. All I had to worry about was not tripping while walking down the aisle! Cindy is also super sweet and very accessible. I would hire her again in a heartbeat (but hopefully I won't have to)!

Cindy and Angie created the wedding of a lifetime's dream! It was way beyond our expectations. When we all saw it, even the beginning set up, it brought us all to tears! They can create a dream out of nothing. Working with Cindy was amazing. She is really upbeat, and doesn't worry about a thing. If the problem can be solved, it will happen. I had absolutely no worries throughout the entire process! I am a detail person, and they out did me! Cindy did an absolutely wonderful job on our wedding! We planned our wedding long-distance and Cindy was great working with us via email and phone (and even Skype!)...and she was always available to work around our schedules. We flew down to Charleston a few times for planning meetings and Cindy was great at using our time wisely. She had everything organized and our meetings arranged perfectly. She is extremely detail oriented and organized. I never felt like I had to remind her to do anything (it was actually the other way around - she would email me lists of things I needed to remember, such as when to send checks to vendors, etc). I think she literally thought about every detail (for example - she put Tylenol in the bathroom at the reception and had bug spray for our guests to use during our outdoor ceremony). She also had a Plan B ready just in case it rained (which thankfully it didn't!). Everyone kept asking me during the planning process if I was stressed at all and my answer was always "no"...I never felt stressed or out of control because I knew the wedding was in good hands with Cindy. Even the day of the wedding, as I was getting ready, everyone kept asking how I was feeling and if I was stressed, but even on the wedding day I wasn't stressed. I knew Cindy was there setting everything up and I knew that every detail had been taken care of. And I knew that if a problem did pop up, she would take care of it right away and I wouldn't even know anything had happened. One example - we got married at Boone Hall Plantation and had our reception at the Cotton Dock. Our table was right in front of the fireplace and I didn't realize how hot it was going to be...my husband pulled Cindy aside and I don't think I even had time to blink before she had her team moving the table further away from the fire. I never once had any worries or stress that our wedding wouldn't be perfect. I'm so happy with our decision to hire Cindy and would recommend her to anyone getting married. Everyone keeps telling me what a beautiful wedding it was - one of my bridesmaids even told me that she thought our wedding was prettier than her own! I can't say enough about Cindy - she made sure our wedding was amazing and everything we asked for!

We firmly believe that Cindy was sent to us to plan our wedding.....she is extremely detail oriented, organized, creative, and caring. The planning process was a breeze! Our wedding day could not have been more special and perfect, plus she ordered up the best weather possible! Cindy and her staff put in many hours and the result is spectacular. Cindy was an amazing wedding planner. From the beginning even before we had signed a contract she was fully invested in our interests and concerns. As soon as we officially chose Cindy she was immediately able to get the high level details she needed from us to begin the planning process. It was a very fun but structured process to get us thinking about all of the necessary facets along with giving Cindy an idea of our priorities and We were a destination wedding and were only able to be in Charleston a few times before the wedding. Cindy was great at both getting all of the information and ideas from us and reflecting it back to us over the phone as well as incredibly structured and productive days when we were in town.
