Mike Ostrow and the team at Entertainment Exchange were amazing! We spoke a few months out, a few weeks out, and week of the wedding to talk about songs, ideas, flow of the event, etc. They are incredibly responsive and easy to work with. The band we booked--Free Spirit--was the absolute best wedding band I have ever heard. They got the crowd up and moving from the very first song! All of our guests raved about the band, said it was the best band they had ever heard at a wedding, loved their music choices, etc. I cannot recommend them enough and they truly made our party a memorable night for all. Thank you Entertainment Exchange and Free Spirit!!

Jukeboxx was such a wonderful band to work with. Mark, Lamont, Lelah and the rest of the band BRAVO! You were phenomenal! We had a blast and were so honored to have a great band play at our wedding. Everyone came up to us at the end of the night and raved at how great you were. The lead singers were all so personable and the band leader was so accommodating.

We used Nightsong for our daughter's wedding on November 5, 2011. They were amazing! We had heard that they were the best event band on the East coast, and they exceeded all our expectations! The vocalists were all phenomenal singers with tons of personality, incredible voices, and they engaged the crowd throughout the evening. The musicians were world class and they all gave 150% from start to finish. The song selections were perfect. Bennett, the bandleader knew exactly what song to play to keep the dance floor packed all night long! He was so easy to work with beforehand, helped us to create a seamless flow, and was cooperative and flexible. We could go on and on, but we'll end by saying that if you need an AMAZING band for your event, look no further, because Nightsong is the BEST!!! Thank you Nightsong!

Before the event they were very helpful is meeting with us and working with our schedule to setup meetings. During the meetings they asked detailed questions and took notes about what exactly we wanted in terms of music selection and schedule of events. They also worked with us and gave some very good suggestions based upon previous experience.

What is amazing is during the event everyone was on the dance floor young or old they played songs that related to each generation (we asked them to). Also, for how many different types of songs they played from different bands each time they sounded exactly like the real band.

Free Spirit made the wedding reception a special event for us.

We had the band NightSong for my daughter's wedding in October of this year and they were absolutely amazing! They didn't miss a beat, and Bennett was so helpful keeping everything on schedule. They incorporated the music that was so important to my daughter and son-in-law as well as reading the crowd- they kept the dance floor packed all night. And talk about some incredible musicians, even with the contemporary music- they nailed it. So thrilled we had a videographer there so we can relive the evening. The band that we had at our wedding was Nightsong, and they were absolutely AMAZING!!! The music they played was spot on and the singers were very engaging and got everyone up to dance!! They came out onto the dance floor which was aweosme too! Bennett Scher and the group played the songs I had requested along with genres that catered to everyones taste---I am still getting rave reviews about them and what a great job they did. I would highly recommend Nightsong, and using Entertainment Exchange to book them :) They even went so far as to learn Usher's OMG for me and my girls :)

NIGHTSONG has played at our company's holiday event for 6 years in a row and they've always brought the house down, so when my son and his fiancee decided to set their wedding date, there was no other choice but Nightsong! Having heard the band several times, we already expected them to be good, but they were better than “good” … they were simply on fire! I can't tell you how many compliments we received on the band.....everyone was blown away with the incredible vocalists and how they got the crowd going. Some of the more complex newer songs with multi-part harmonies and complex instrumental lines were really excellent and reflected some serious rehearsing to enable them to sound so much like the original artists. There wasn’t a moment when the huge dance floor wasn't completely full and we couldn't have been happier. As always, Bennett was a huge help in putting everything together, learning our special songs and working closely with our event planner so that everything flowed just right. I would highly recommend NIGHTSONG to anyone who is planning a wedding or corporate party and needs the entertainment to be off the charts!

Entertainment Exchange and Free Spirit were an excellent choice for our wedding. My contacts at Entertainment Exchange were very responsive and acted as a liason to the band. I am so glad we chose Free Spirt - they did an amazing job at reading the mood of the dance floor and played music accordingly. They took the time to get the correct pronunciations of the bridal party and even pulled me and my husband up on stage to dance with them! They really made the wedding enjoyable - everyone raved about how amazing they were!

Hands down, 'Round Midnight is the best band ever!!! If you're in the process of picking a wedding band, do yourself a favor and look no further. 'Round Midnight was the absolute best decision we made during the whole wedding planning process. They were SO easy to work with, and absolutely MADE the party. Everyone was talking about how amazing the band was the entire night, and two weeks after the wedding when we got home from our honeymoon....everyone is STILL talking about the band. We had multiple friends come up to my parents during the reception to get the band's information either for their kids' weddings or an upcoming party. Everyone was on the dance floor ALL night long, the vocal quality of the singers was incredible, and they interacted with the crowd and made sure there was something for everyone. Jukeboxx was AMAZING! Mark, the band leader, was great to work with and the talent of the band was beyond words. Many guests jokes throughout the evening that he band included Jimmy Hendrix on guitar and Aretha Franklin on the mic. Another guest said to me she's never been to a wedding where the whole group is up dancing before the salads are even served. Jukeboxx had the dance floor packed throughout the evening and played a great mix of motown and recent hits. Our guests are still talking about the rocking party at our wedding weeks after and many have said it was the most fun they've had at a reception. We give all the credit to Jukeboxx for their amazing musical ability, their professionalism, and great choice of songs! Thank you for making our wedding the best night of our lives.

Linda Feldman, our direct contact at the Entertainment Exchange, was also FABULOUS!! She answered emails promptly, called me to answer questions, and helped me perfect the schedule of the evening. She was a true professional and made the planning process stress free.

Peter is great to work with and I had the feeling there was nothing he wouldn't get done for us. We had some late lchanges and he was very accomodating. Our original DJ, Drew, whom we liked very much and worked with for the wedding music, got hurt and couldn't support our wedding. When Peter called with the news, he already had a replacement, Karim lined up. The hand off of music and what we liked was seamless to us. Karim did a great job. This is our second marriage and we had teenagers and parents attending and Karim got us all out on the floor all night. Fantastic!

"Free Spirit" was the band we had for the reception and what a band!!!!! The guests never sat down once the music started - we could have danced all night to the incredible sounds of Free Spirit. Their energy certainly was infectious because everyone had a FABULOUS time. Can't imagine a better band in the whole entire world!!!!! The band leader, Mike Ostrow, is truly a very talented musician and a super nice individual. Very easy to work with and was very helpful in coordinating the playlist to match our wishes for music, first dance, etc. We are ready to have a big party so Free Spirit can return for a another fabulous performance.

All I can say is ...Amazing! We hired Grooveline for our band and they were extraordinary. The singers have amazing voices and really get the party going. Grooveline was also nice enough to let us sit in on a practice so we could hear them in person before the wedding. They all work really well together and keep the crowd upbeat. We requested a few special songs that they learned before the wedding and did such a great job. We're so happy that we hired Grooveline!

Free Spirit was FABULOUS!!! Song selection wonderful, varied, old, new, enjoyed by all. I have never seen an event that had the group on the dance floor as much as you did -- even when you wanted them off! Thank you very much for a beautiful evening of beautiful music. We got many, many, many compliments on your performance - you deserved them all!

'Round Midnight is an amazing band. The dance floor was packed from the moment they started playing. They interacted with our guests and helped make the evening memorable. They are true professionals. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

The band was absolutely amazing. Not only did they have great voices, but they all displayed the utmost professionalism and really knew how to get a party started and keep it going all night long. They interacted with the crowd and kept the dance floor jumping all night long. I could not have asked for a better band.

What an amazing band!! They kept the party going all night long. Not only were they amazing at the songs that they perform regularly, but they learned 3 songs to make this night the most wonderful and special night of our lives. They are truly amazing artists with a unique sound and definitely know how to keep a party going.

DJ Paul was absolutely amazing! Prior to the wedding he was always in contact with us to make sure we approved of the musical selection and that he had all the names (and pronunciations) correct for the bridal party announcements. He even made a special mix for the mother/son dance at the request of the groom’s mother.

He had the dance floor packed for 4 hours straight! His energy was non-stop, he was courteous, helpful and just an all around great guy. My wife and I would recommend him to anyone wishing to have a fun, and lively wedding or party.

NIGHTSONG was amazing. They rocked the wedding reception. EVERYONE raved about them. Old and young were out on the dance floor non stop. My daughter didn't want to stop to cut her cake. The CBBC staff had to wheel the cake onto the dance floor. At the end of the night, everyone was chanting one more song, one more song - and NIGHTSONG accommodated the crowd. People couldn't stop talking about them. I heard all night long how they are the best wedding band people have heard. AWESOME performance. I can't say enough good things about them.

Mike was amazing. Initially my husband and I wanted a band, but my daughter insisted on a DJ.
What a great decision! EVERYONE commented that he was the best ever. He created an atmosphere where the energy was high and continued all night long.

After receiving recommendations from friends and our photographer about Free Spirit, I knew this band was the only one I wanted. After researching a bit online, Free Spirit appeared to have the most energy, talent and vibe for the reception of my dreams. Working with Mike (owner of Entertainment Exchange) for over 1.5 years (yes, a very long engagement!) was seamless and easy! He was very responsive to email (even on vacation!), accommodated all of my requests (I wanted to hear 'I gotta feelin' multiple times during the reception) and even offered his expertise when he thought I wasn't making a wise decision (I initially did not want to hear 'September', however the song turned out to be one of the highlights of the evening when my friends and family started a soul train!). Free Spirit kept the dance floor packed on a Sunday evening. We also used Bel Canto from the agency for our ceremony and cocktail hour music. They were excellent as well!

We were so happy to have Michael Valenti be a part of our wedding celebration. He was extremely professional and charismatic. He helped us pull off a Surprise wedding ceremony! After the ceremony, he had everyone up dancing and celebrating with his music selection. He even hopped on the dance floor to help our with the cha cha slide. It was a great celebration and we are thankful to Michael for all his help on our event.

I would recommend Michael Valenti to my friends and family for future events.

We just loved Michael. He was extremely accommodating, took pains to stick to our music selection, even downloading several songs he didn't already have in his collection. He met with us in person prior to the wedding, and then we had follow up emails and telephone calls from him regularly. He handled our wedding wonderfully - would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He was also an extremely nice guy.

We had Free Spirit at our wedding and they did such an amazing job! The music was outstanding! The dance floor was packed the entire night and our guests are still talking about how great the music was. The song choices were excellent for our crowd. The band was very concerned about playing the type of music that we wanted and followed all of our requests. Our band was great. We used the Fabulous Fantoms. They really got everyone out on the dancefloor. They were louder than some other bands so we got some comments from older people in attendance but we loved it. They were great to work with. We could email them any questions leading up to the wedding and they were very responsive. They were also willing to learn a new song if they didn't know it for our first dance. I can't wait to hear them at a wedding in the future!

Entertainment Exchange is a fantastic vendor for any of your wedding's musical needs. I had a wonderful experience from the moment I met Vickie at a bridal fair. She answered all my questions, answered emails promptly, and helped me pick a wonderful wedding band. 'Round Midnight made our wedding a truly memorable night. The band members were so enthusiastic, they interacted with the guests, and they played a great selection of music. The band was also very accommodating with learning songs that were not on the playlist. I have had countless guests tell me how awesome our band sounded. I feel that music can really set the mood for an event and I can honestly say our wedding was UNBELIEVABLE.

I don't know what I could possibly add to all the reviews regarding the fabulous band Round Midnight. This was undoubtedly the very best investment toward insuring that my daughter's wedding was a huge success. They made it a memorable party for everyone there.

Their ability to "read the crowd" was uncanny. We had lots of 25 - 30 year old guests and we also had a good number of 55 + folks. The songs they chose appealed to all ages and kept the dance floor 'rocking!! Their involvement with the crowd was especially noteworthy. They "got down" and danced and played to every single person there (including the 18 month old baby girl who danced the night way). They not only involved the bride and groom and the wedding party but they worked the crowd and kept the tempo high!! Folks just couldn't get over how great they were and how they could play so many different songs by so many different artists.

After talking to the band leaders, Tim, I knew I had nothing to worry about. Since the wedding was out in Warrenton, I was very worried they wouldn't find the place (Airlie Center) and would be late. But, after my conversation with Tim, I knew I could "check the box" for the band and go on to worry about something else.

I am grateful to the Entertainment Exchange for working with me to decide on having Round Midnight join in our very fun filled evening. I hope they also had some fun!!

THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!! You totally made the wedding! Everyong RAVED about the band! I'm sure the crowd helped, we do have amazing (and very fun) friends and family, but you guys were top notch. Mitch keeps saying he felt like he was at a concert (which we love) but better because everyone was dancing. Besides dinner I don't think there was ever a time when the dance floor wasn't packed.

I LOVED our DJ, Donna Hardesty! This is my second wedding, and I had booked her before, so I already knew she'd be great. Vickie Preston was also very nice to work with. I had actually gotten to meet her about a month before the wedding at a bridal event in Baltimore in my actual venue, The Tremont Grand. I had also booked a trio consisting of a violin, cello, and a flute, to play for the ceremony and cocktail hour. They were amazing as well. Donna kept the evening going with great music, and she really kept everything on track. I can't thank her enough!

Entertainment Exchange was wonderful to work with. I was planning my Bowie, Maryland wedding from New York, which was a task in itself. They were always helpful with suggesting local wedding retailers since I was not familiar with the area. They were also very flexible with planning since I was only available on certain days when I was in town. Peter was on top of everything and helped us throughout the entire process. They did not force us into any decisions understanding that it is hard to plan a wedding. They were always available for questions whenever we called I would highly recommend them.

For our wedding they suggested using Paper Thoughts in Bethesda, MD for our invitations. Jody was very helpful in choosing our invitations and the whole process went very smoothly.

Entertainment Exchange found Janet Holland from Serenata to play the harp for us during the ceremony. The harp was beautiful and definitely added elegance to our day. She was also wonderful to work with. Very professional and easy going.

Our DJ was Paul Parrinello, who has been a DJ for years and is very experienced.. He was very professional and was very knowledgeable about weddings. We had one planning meeting with him and then a two phone conversations and that was it. He played exactly what we wanted and the guests said that he was the best DJ they had ever heard. Everyone had a great time!
Our cake was done by Something Extra in Gaithersburg, MD. Randy was a pleasure to work with and the cake was delicious definitely the best cake we ever had. The carrot cake is to die for, I cannot wait to eat our topper on our one year anniversary. They also did our groom's cake in the shape of a Guinness bottle. Some guests thought the label was real, but it was all done in icing. It was awesome!
The planning process went off without a hitch. After a tasting and a few short phone conversations our cake was planned. On the day of our wedding it was beautiful, the center piece of the entire room.

Over all I could not have asked for a better day. Everything came together and it would have not been possible without Entertainment Exchange. Thank you for everything!

Vickie Preston was fabulous! She allowed us to see several bands in person before we made our choice. We went with Powerhouse and they were AMAZING!!! They even let us extend that night for another hour. The band was so much fun and people pf all ages were on the dance floor until 2am! Highly recommend them!

We worked with Entertainment Exchange and the band we selected was Doctor's Orders.

Before the ceremony, we listened to a couple of different bands, and picked Doctor's Orders because of their music selection, their charisma with the audience, and their sound control. Unlike the other bands we saw, Doctor's Orders has dedicated sound techs to circle the room and make sure the sound fits the room and everyone can hear them without being overpowered. This may seem trivial, but having heard some bands who did not do this, I can say it can be really important.

They sounded fantastic! We received SO MANY compliments afterward about how our band was the best band they had ever heard, and they certainly contributed to the many people who said it was "the best" wedding they had ever been to. EVERYONE was up on the floor dancing. They did a great job of mixing music from the last 50 years together in a great way that kept people on the floor for hours. They had great stage presence and did a great job of engaging the crowd.

So I would say this, if you want a great band to get everyone on their feet, you should hire Doctor's Orders. (Plus, they're not even as expensive as a lot of other bands!)

It was a pleasure to work with Michael Valenti! He is very responsive and asks questions about your tastes and vision for the wedding and he incorporates that into his sets. He is very experienced but he doesn't have the attitude we saw in other DJs with similar experience.

He put on a great show for us at our wedding. The dance floor was packed almost the whole night and any time we thought it was emptying out he managed to play just the right song to get it going again! There is no question that his experience shined through in that respect. We are happy to recommend him to anyone getting married in the DC area.

Michael is awesome. He did such a wonderful job with our wedding. We provided very little guidance, just a hand full of songs to play and ones not to play. He put together a great performance that had everyone and of all ages out on the dance floor all night. He didn't speak too much which is great. I went to a wedding recently and the DJ told everyone that he just went to the bathroom, I guarantee you that Michael would never do anything like that.

Entertainment Exchange provided a harpist to play before our ceremony and a string quartet to play during the cocktail hour at our reception. The musicians were excellent...we got lots of compliments. I would definitely recommend Entertainment Exchange.

Loved, Loved, Loved my band! 'Round Midnight was the talk of the night! Everyone from my 5 year old nephew to my 90 year old grandfather were dancing up a storm. They have a good mix of music for all ages. They had my groom singing into the mic! We all had so much fun! They were able to do all of the songs we requested, and they sounded great! Several times during the night they even sought me out to make sure I was still happy with their performance.

We found them at a friend's wedding, and they lived up to the excitement all over again at ours. They will definitely be playing at both of my sister's weddings!

I can't thank DJ Michael more for the service he provided!! He coordinated the event perfectly, plays great music at perfect time, and most importantly, got my guests onto the dance floor!! My husband and I are both from Chinese culture, so we have lots of Asian guests. At first I was a little worried about getting people on the dance floor since most of our family members are shy from dancing, not mentioning that the wedding is in the day time (when people don’t get enough alcohol for party.) I didn't want the awkwardness of an empty dance floor. When my little neice announced the dance floor is open, DJ Michael appeared on the dance floor, directing people to have a group dance. Suddenly people got excited and the floor was full. All my guests said they had a great time. The wedding wouldn’t be this successful without DJ Michael’s help. DJ Michael truly surpassed our expectations and was a pleasure to work with. He was prompt with emails, responsive to calls, custom editted our first dance song to our entrance (I don't know of any DJs that offered that service), and helped out other vendors who were less prepared. He was the first person to arrive at the facility, even before the facility was open. We have high standards and Michael Valenti exceed all of them.

Nightsong was amazing! They did such a wonderful job playing the two songs we requested for our special dances and kept the crowd on their feet the whole night! We keep hearing such rave reviews about our music and are so thankful to have chosen such a great band! We highly rate them for any big event!

I would highly recommend Entertainment Exchange to book your special event. I needed a well accomplished band for my son's wedding and Mike Ostrow put me in touch with Pat Richitt from DC Synergy. From the moment I spoke to Pat I knew he and his group would do a wonderful job. They did not disappoint. We could not have been happier. DC Synergy came at the appointed time, played the music the bride and groom selected and even the songs my husband and I wanted. You won't go wrong if you select DC Synergy.

We used 'Round Midnight and the string quartet for our wedding through the Exchange. 'Round Midnight was FANTASTIC!!! They are WELL worth every penny as they keep the dance floor packed and are very personable and fun!!! I would comment on the string quartet, but I barely remember walking down the aisle (it is such a blur!!)

We used the band Night Song that we got through Entertainment Exchange. Night Song was amazing. We got compliments from many of our guests saying that they were the best band they'd ever heard at a wedding. They were very interactive with the audience and everyone had a great time. We hired Nightsong through Entertainment Exchange for our wedding in September. We LOVED them, worth every penny! My husband and I never got to see them live before we booked them, but based on the video (which doesn't do them justice) and two recommendations, we chose them. We were blown away by the talent of everyone in the band. The dance floor was packed all night with guests of all ages. I had the BEST time. So many people commented on how much fun Nightsong was. Book them today!

We hired both a string quartet and 'Round Midnight as our wedding band from Entertainment Exchange. They were easy to work with and have all types of entertainment available in one place. The quartet was good but since that was before and during the ceremony and in the very busy cocktail hour I did not really hear much of the music. 'Round Midnight, however, was FANTASTIC. Our guests (and my husband and I) were out on the dance floor all night, no one wanted to leave when it was over. The next day everyone was raving and saying it was the best wedding band they had ever heard! They were really flexible, learned a song for our first dance, and were great to have there. I highly reccomend 'Round Midnight!

Roung Midnight was absoutely amazing! They totally made our wedding a success. They got everyone up dancing all night long and we even extended our wedding an extra half hour because so many people were still on the dance floor at midnight! They really connected with our guests and got everyone involved.

Entertainment Exchange is more of a one stop shop for music; they offered a huge number of bands, DJs and musicians. We went with DJ Adam who was AMAZING!! His music selection was well rounded and flowed nicely throughout the evening. If you need music for any event, contact them.

Powerhouse Band was a huge crowd hit (there was a Michael Jackson medley that people are still talking about!). Dance floor was full the entire night. Band did take a very long break during dinner - fine, but I'd plan your night accordingly to get money's worth. Highly recommend overall though.

This review is really more concentrated on our wedding band the VIPs than Entertainment Exchange. Entertainment exchange themselves were fine to work with but we have several complaints about the band they suggested for us and the overall process. We had the VIPs as our band. The dancing/party aspect of the wedding was very important to us so we wanted to talk with the band in detail about our expectations. However, we were told that they don't talk to clients until 1-2 weeks before the wedding. When we finally were able to talk with them, we made several requests of songs to play, only a couple of which they did. It didn't seem like they cared much at all about our opinion and came off condescending, that they were really just going to do things their way because they knew better than we did. We went along with it but wished we could have been more involved in what they were going to play. For instance, we requested the Hora which turned out to be at least 12 minutes long. I think this is extremely unusual and we should have been asked if it was ok to do such a long version. I wish we had more say into what they would play during the reception - we weren't asking them to play things outside their genre, actually many of the songs were on their playlist. The one song they did agree to play for us that was off their playlist was our first dance song but it honestly sounded pretty terrible, very off key. I wish they had just suggested playing a cd for it instead.

Overall, I think Entertainment Exchange is a good company to work with and Linda who I worked with was very responsive and helpful in answering my questions along the way. I would work with them again in the future I would make sure to be able to have more input with the band. And if the band isn't willing to do so go with a different...
