Erin Larson

Erin was recommended to me by Chelsea, my makeup artist. They have worked together for weddings on numerous occasions. Erin's main job is as a hairstylist at the Moodz salon. I really wanted to have my hair and makeup done at the venue and both of them were available to do that. In the end, we couldn't get ready at the venue, but they were happy to go to the hotel where my guests were staying and set up there.
Erin and I had gotten off to a rough start. The day before my hair consultation appointment, she left me a message telling me what I should bring with me to the appointment. I didn't get the message until late in the evening and called the next morning to cancel. I still didn't have a veil or hair accessories and I felt I was unprepared to meet with her, based on her message. As a result of my decision, she lost money because she couldn't fill that time slot. I mention all of this because with Chelsea's magic, Erin agreed to do my wedding day hairstyling even though we hadn't met and she was rightfully upset with me. It all worked out great. On the morning of the wedding, I showed her a few photos of hairstyles that I liked and I had borrowed a veil from a friend and had bought a hair comb. Erin created a simple hairstyle that worked with everything and suited my tastes. She also did the hair for my 3 bridal party members and my mom. She had to assure my mom that she wasn't going to make her look like an old lady with sky-high hair and I was thankful that my mom's hair finally had some volume and the perfect amount.
Given that I had never met Erin until the wedding day, things went very well. I think her prices were kind of high for the simple nature of the hairstyles that many of us got. She charges one flat rate for hair above the shoulders and another for hair longer than shoulder length. If you have long hair and want a very complicated hairstyle design, I think her prices would be fine, but mine was very easy and so was my sister's and mom's. My mom basically paid for a simple blow-dry.
Based on the different hair types and lengths that all 5 of us have and our subsequent hairstyles for the wedding, I think Erin showed versatility in her work. If I have a future need for a formal hairstyle, I would consider contacting Erin and going in for a consultation to see what ideas she has.
