Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa

We loved Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. Our wedding was truly magical because of this amazing venue. My husband and I planned a destination wedding to San Diego, CA and choose Estancia on the recommendation of our wedding planner, Melissa Barrad. We couldn't have picked a more perfect venue. Our family and friends are still talking about our wedding and Estancia. The grounds were spectacular. We had our ceremony on the Olive Lawn and the reception in the Adobe Restaurant. The staff was professional and so helpful. We had a brunch the day following our wedding on the same lawn.A friend of mine also treated me to a massage at their spa. It was amazing! I highly recommend taking advantage of the spa while you are there. We will return to Estancia in the years to come. It is truly a magical place.

The staff was so wonderful! We felt like a king and queen all weekend. Everyone was very helpful. It really is such a beautiful location too. We got so many compliments from our guests. They absolutely loved the venue. We had our ceremony/cocktails in the courtyard and reception in the smaller ballroom. It couldn't have been more perfect :) I love that they provide the garden suite to get ready in. And all the food was so good! Very gourmet and they accommodated our all vegetarian preference. The only downside is that it is fairly pricey (at least for us using the courtyard for only 100people) but it really is worth every penny.

Working with Erica Davis at Estancia was an absolute joy. She and all the Estancia staff are extremely professional and go out of their way to make sure your needs are met. They worked with us till the end, making it so easy for us to make last minute changes. My wedding at Estancia was an absolute dream and it went so smoothly! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Estancia has THE BEST service! I felt like a total princess the day of my wedding. They pay attention to even the smallest detail.

Catering:

Catering is a part of Estancia’s wedding packages. Our wedding coordinator organized a food tasting for us to demonstrate what Estancia restaurant has to offer. Everything we’ve tried was amazing! We have to say the food at our wedding was the most delicious food we have tasted at the weddings.

Ceremony:

Our small wedding ceremony took place on the Olive Lawn. The size of the lawn was perfect for our party. The hotel provided us with everything we needed for the ceremony including chairs, tables, water station, and etc. The service was absolutely excellent and staff did everything to make our wedding trouble free.

Reception:

Reception was done at the Estancia in La Jolla – the location is really beautiful with many local flowers blooming at the time. We did it outdoors during mid afternoon and it was a good choice as the weather was perfect.

Wedding Night Hotel:

Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa offers relaxing atmosphere. Staying at the hotel was like a dream. We had a beautiful suite with a nice view. Hotel staff provided us with everything we needed to make the stay comfortable and unforgettable. We can’t wait to go back!

The Estancia is the most beautiful location we found in San Diego / La Jolla. We were planning a destination wedding and they helped with all of the details. Everything was perfect . . the outdoor wedding location, guest rooms, the rehearsal dinner, the wedding dinner. Mustangs and Burros, on the property was a great night before the wedding hang out for all of our guests.

We held our reception at Estancia. The food, like the one of the other reviewer's stated is absolutely delicious and the service was top notch. The venue itself is beautiful. Our cocktail hour was held in the Garden Courtyard which is a huge space and was needed for all our 275 guests. Our reception was held in the La Jolla Ballroom, another beautiful space. I highly recommend Estancia.

We loved the venue because it was simply a stunning setting for a wedding, and one of the only places large enough that we looked at. However, during the year of planning, we worked with 3 catering managers and several pieces of critical information kept getting lost along the way. For example, despite several very clear assertions about our preferences for alcohol service (basic liquor, do not refill wine glasses on the table, etc), they ended up serving and charging for top shelf liquor and refilling wine glasses on the table without being asked! We were very disappointed with this. Other than that, it was beautiful and a perfect setting.

Beautiful! Beautiful Property!They have a great spa so you can treat the girls and yourself to manis/pedis the day before and so Bride & Groom can get a massage the morning of the wedding. The food is amazing and so is the attentive staff! I also had out-of-town guests stay here. Best place to stay and have your ceremony and reception. Several outdoor options for your ceremony and/or reception. Meticulous landscaping. Nice small setting, but I believe they can accomodate up to 200-250 for the ceremony & reception. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
