Hi everyone...i have just finish reading the horror stories that you have been through, I was just done firing her after the BS excuses of her not calling us back or contacting us when she needed. We were suppose to have an engagment shoot Sunday and she claims she doesnt have a babysitter, and then never contacted us back. She claimed that she broke her arm 3-4 weeks ago..also..today..the best excuse I;ve heard...she says her house burned down today...her address that we mailed the check was 533 Minnieford Ave and the so call apartment house that was burned down was at 415 City Island avenue. Her voicemail is always full and unless you threaten her, she wont text you back.

I would like to know if anyone here will consider doing a class action suit against her to get the deposit money and your pictures back, she is a scam artist and I am not intending to let her get away with it. I will destroy all her ads anywhere I see them and post these reviews so that noone else can ever get scammed by her again. Please feel free to contact me if you are in the process of legal actions against her. I will be glad to join in that suit, I beleive the more we have, the better the more successful it will be. And yes..it's personal now. PS...I will also will be reporting her to the Better Business Bureau.

We have a weeding coming up and Stacy has come up with every excuse in the book for not being able to meet with us. From not feeling well, or having a break down, or being out of the country and so on..... We have not been able to get a hold of her for over TWO months now!! We have spoken with an attorney and hope that we could retrieve some of our deposit money back.

DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE PICKING A PHOTOGRAPHER!! DON'T BE FOOLED BY STACY.

HOPEFULLY NOONE ELSE WILL EVER GET SCAMMED BY HER AGAIN!

We don't have a single picture and it's been almost a year now. We just saw some on flickr but the photos were unedited and unprintable. But most important: We never aproved her to use our pictures on her website. They were viewable without a password. It has been a nightmare. This woman has caused so much pain, stress and trouble. She was 1,5 hours late at my wedding so I don't have any pictures getting dressed with my bride's maids. She was totally unprepared and didn't know where the typical spots for wedding pictures in Central Park are! Instead, she flirted with a man and exchanged phone numbers while we were waiting for her to take our pictures. We theatened her to press charges against her but she mocked us. Never returned calls and when she replied emails she was as bold as brass.

I would NOT recommend STACY LIBRANDI @ Ethan Alfred Studios to anyone.

HORRIBLE, NEVER RETURNS CALLS, CONTRACT (photos, proof books, etc) NEVER REC'D
She does not respond to email or phone calls/texts. BE AWARE if you want a photographer to show up at your wedding and be there on time, Stacey is not for you.
We had to hire a back up photographer the day b4 the wedding for back up. She was 2 hours late, we didn't even expect her to arrive b/c I tried contacting her a week prior to the wedding, she never called back, we just hoped and doubted she would even show up.

I used Stacey myself and it has been the most horrific experience I have dealt with with any "professional" if you would like to refer to her as that.
She does not return calls, comes up with various excuses and barely made it to my wedding, we were shocked when she arrived when we were walking out of the hotel.
She has not returned my calls in nor emails. I tried getting in touch with her assistant and he told me she is impossible to get ahold of. Believe it or not, 3 months after my wedding she asked ME for a copy of our contract as she did not have it on time. Her work was horrible, some good pictures but of the 500, there are only 200 the rest are duplicates
I have just hired an attorney to obtain our proof books b/c as part of my contract she has not provided me with anything. I tried to contact her again today and her phone is not accepting calls.
Do yourself a favor, do not hire this woman to photograph ANYTHING unless you can wait a lifetime to receive your pictures.
She is the worst wedding vendor I had to deal with, I was married over six months ago now and have been dealing with her horrible customer skills and never a return call, it's like pulling teeth.....Good luck if you have a contract with Stacey already, if you can I would revoke it asap.

Stacy Librandi shot my wedding over ten months ago, and I still have not seen a single photo. She was paid in full in advance, and after the wedding she was impossible to get ahold of. Apparently she is now out of the country, so it is unknown if and when we will ever get our photos. Extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Update 6.15.11

A simple Google search reveals that the Ethan Alfred Studios photographer, Stacy Novitsky, formerly Stacy Librandi, is now going by STACY BOURNE. (search string: Stacy + photographer + Haiti)

My husband and I recently discovered that our wedding photos were destroyed in the fire at her apartment in the fall of 2009, approximately three months after our wedding. Obviously, the fire was a tragedy and was neither her fault nor within her control; however, Ms. Librandi/Novitsky/Bourne’s response to us, her clients, was within her control and was very unprofessional. It took twenty (20) months for her to finally tell us that our photos were irretrievable because they were on a computer that was damaged in the fire.

Ms. Librandi/Novitsky/Bourne has promised us a refund, but that does not change the fact that we have spent nearly two years anxiously awaiting the photos from our wedding. Those photos have not existed for 83% of that time, yet we were promised they were “safe” and that Ms. Librandi/Novitsky/Bourne was working on editing them so she could send them to us.

If there are any additional families who are awaiting their photos, we sincerely wish you luck. Hopefully your luck will be better than ours.

Stacy Librandi of Ethan Alfred Studios is the most unprofessional woman I've ever come in contact with. Though she sent me proofs from my engagement shoot, my wedding was SUMMER 2009 and she hasn't sent me a thing. Not only that, but she's completely been unresponsive. She changed her name to Stacy Novitsky and basically dropped off the face of the earth. She was full of excuses--from no baby sitter to not feeling well to marriage trouble--she always came up with something. I deeply regret using her for my wedding... It's such a terrible thing to scam couples who have trusted her to document the most important day of their lives. For your own sake, do not use her or this studio.

Married 5/09, no proofs yet, broke her arm, I do know

and on the inside front cover of the Daily News yesterday
was a picture of the house and interview with her. It
appears that she needs to hire someone to help expedite
things and communicate with her clients. She is very
talented but just needs a little help. That being said,
I hope to get my images soon.

I used Stacey in May and have had the same EXACT experience as everyone else! We have no photos, have seen no proofs, and have not heard from Stacey! She emails me back after I try and try to get in touch with her and has an excuse every time! I don't know what to do! She uploaded photos to a Flickr account and there are other brides there as well BUT the photos are unedited and unprintable! I have no hi res CD or proof book which is what I paid for! I hope we can all try and DO something to get our money back AND photos!!!

STACY LIBRANDI (NOVITSKY) IS SUCH A SCAM! VERY NICE OF HER TO DEDICATE HER TIME AND OUR MONEY TO GO DOWN TO HAITI. BUT YET, SHE STEALS FROM DOZENS OF BRIDES HERE IN THE STATES AND FEELS OK WITH THAT??!?! INTERESTING. THIS WOMAN IS A SICK INDIVIDUAL.

Stacy is extremely unprofessional. She doesn't answer calls/ emails. I have not gotten my engagement pictures or wedding pictures and its going on 5 months since my wedding. I have not received ANYTHING. I would suggest you go with a photographer who is not only talented, but professional and cares about your needs. She is great at first, but after your wedding, your pictures are the LEAST of her priorities. I have not gotten any proofs whatsoever. I would definitely reconsider hiring her. She seems like she's very talented etc.. but you will be frustrated after your wedding when you realize you will not be seeing your pix for 6 months and other brides will have gotten their pix within 1 month the most. Its a very stressful time. I have not gotten my pictures yet so I can't even tell you if the wait is worth it.

Stacy Librandi = disappointment

I used Stacy Librandi @ Ethan Alfred Studios for my wedding on March 2009.If you ever want to see your photos after the wedding do not use STACY LIBRANDI. Please do not be full by her kindness because she still will not get your photos done. Used anybody but STACY LIBRANDI for your wedding photos. After the wedding you will not hear from her, and she will come up with any excuse that you can think of. From being six, from blaming the website –Pictage.com, from not feeling well for the past four months, and she just doesn’t stop with the excuses. She never has time to work on your photos, but she has time to be on MySpace, and face book just to name a few. We will be taking her to court because that might be the only resolution.
I would NOT recommend STACY LIBRANDI @ Ethan Alfred Studios to anyone.

Met Stacy Librandi and wanted to give her a chance as she appeared to be a photographer who was at the beginning of her photography career and seemed to have some promise. We woulld meet her in a Starbucks by our home as she had no office.

At the wedding, she brought along a second photographer who also appeared to have potential.The wedding was March 7,2009. It is now July 8, 2009 and we still have only seen 7 of our wedding pictures. I have several friends who have gotten married in the few months and were able to at least view their pictures online 2 weeks after the wedding.
Stacy has only posted 7 of our pictures online.These were posted one week after the wedding. She has posted nothing else. When we call her to see what is going on, she does not return our calls. She says she will have the pictures ready but still has not delivered anything more than four months after the wedding.

I would NOT recommend Stacy Librandi of Ethan Alfred Studios to anyone.

i feel so sorry for all the brides here. i also used Stacy Librandi and her studio, Ethan Alfred, for my wedding last year. although its been a year since the event, i don't have a single wedding picture to show for it. she hasn't upheld her half of the contract and she's completely stopped returning my calls or requests for information. while she hasn't been responsive at all to me, she has tbe audacity to use pictures of me and my husband from the wedding on her website. i have contacted the Better Business Bureau and they told me that they are currently investigating her "studios". i would urge anyone looking for a photographer to avoid Stacy and Ethan Alfred Studios. this woman is a total scam and will do and say anything to take your money!

I had the same problem as the rest of you. She was sweet and nice before the wedding, before she got paid and during the wedding. But after the wedding good luck getting a hold of her. She's the worst at that. It's good business and just human decency to return your client's calls.

Good for you brides who are taking legal action. It's important and maybe with a lawsuit you'll also get your long awaited wedding photographs.

p.s. "Newlywedbride" has the right idea contacting the Better Business Bureau. Maybe if everyone who has had an issue with this photographer contact the BBB, then we'll have a stronger case. Perhaps we'll get a refund, or at least our pictures. Have any of you noticed that the Ethan Alfred Studios voicemail is always full? For some reason I think that this was on purpose.

Also, even though she may have many excuses.......for those of you that think that Stacy's house fire was an excuse..... unfortunately this one is real. I remember hearing about this in the news. I think the paper said that the fire was so bad that Stacy had to escape out of her bathroom window.

hey everyone - so in a couple of weeks i am planning on meeting with a lawyer/going to court to try and put together a law suit against stacy. we have to do something to get our memories back. if any of you are interested in filing a class action suit let me know and i will skip small claims.

I have to agree with most of the postings on here. We used Stacy for our wedding last July and after waiting almost 6 months for our proofs we have heard nothing about our albums which we paid in full for. She is very unprofessional, and definitely spreads herself too thin. Despite the fact that she has a great eye for photography, I truly would not recommend her to anyone. I can't believe that we don't have a single print or album from our wedding more than a year ago. We are thinking about hiring an attorney as well. Wish all of you guys luck in getting things settled with her!

I have to reiterate 709bride's sentiments. I used Stacy Librandi @ Ethan Alfred Studios for my June 2008 wedding. It's now over a year later and I have yet to receive my wedding albums (3) which were included in the 5k contract price. I've picked out my photos and have been emailing and calling Stacy almost every week for the past 3 months. At first, it was hard to get even a response from her. Since she's responded, she's given me every excuse in the book (she was sick one weekend, out of town on another, her PC broke down one week, her kids were sick the next week, she was sick the following the week, even blaming the website - pictage.com- for not properly uploading the pictures). At the this point, I've contacted an attorney and am considering filing a claim in small claims court and reporting Ethan Alfred to the BBB. I think Stacy is a talented photographer but I honestly believe that she's never completed an entire wedding from e-shots to album. Please reconsider before hiring this photographer.
