Excellence Riviera Cancun

Everything about our honeymoon was amazing. This all inclusive resort was exactly what we needed after 20 months of planning. We had never been to an all-inclusive resort before so our expectations may have been low, but everything was wonderful. The guacamole (and the rest of the food) was to-die- for.

We had been well prepared for our trip to Mexico, thanks to AAA. Mexico was hit by a hurricane shortly before we went on our trip, and so we had been in touch with the resort to ensure everything was okay down there. They assured it was ok, and so we headed on down. Once we finally got there (flight to Cancun, bus ride to resort area… a little scary, but fine), we were welcomed with champagne. Our room was great – we really enjoyed it. It was clean, plenty spacious, and equipped with a mini-fridge of beer and soda. The resort offered a lot of activities, so if youre looking for group aerobics or craft time, you’ll find things like that here. We were more interested in the pools and restaurant and beach. The beach was a bit disappointing – very small, and when we went in the ocean, we found debris, a little proof a pier had once/recently been there and now was not… hmmmph. The selection of restaurants was perfect. The spa was exceptional. All in all, a fine all-inclusive resort. Just don’t drink the water, and look out for debris in the ocean and near the beach!

Beautiful!!! What an amazing honeymoon spot, we cannot wait to go back! Beautiful hotel with many pools, and great restaurants with a lot of selection. Staff was fun and friendly. The rooms were gorgeous, and well maintained. Almost all guests there are celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary, which made for a romantic and fun atmosphere. Entertaining shows were performed at the resort each night, we barely left the grounds! Dinner by the beach was an amazing touch to the honeymoon experience. I would highly recommend this resort!!

My husband booked our honeymoon and he did a great job when he selected this resort. The entire resort is amazingly beautiful. The rooms are huge and spotless. The restaurants have delicious food and offer a variety of different types of cuisine. The only reason I gave this resort a 4 is because we paid an extra $1,000 to upgrade to the Excellence Club that supposedly got you better service, private cocktail hour, internet access, etc. It was not worth it. Everyone received excellent service and the private cocktail hour was unnecessary.

Beautiful hotel... incredible honeymoon package with massage, dinner on the beach, 24 hr room service and fully stocked bar in room.

Amazing resort! My husband and I went during Christmas 3 years ago. Very romantic and the entertainment crew was so much fun!! Loved the beach and the food was great as well. If you love being pampered this resort is for you!
