The Exquisite Bride

I got my dress from the exquisite bride, the sales girl who assisted me actually picked out the dress and pulled it for me. I was pleased with my service. The only problem I had was a long wait time for alterations, but they don't do them an outside vendor takes care of that.

Loved the selection except they'd sold the dress I was looking for and hadn't replaced the sample yet. I did find an exquisite Maggie Sottero(this is why I went to the Exquisite Bride in the first place). The atmostphere was great and the staff the day of pickup was great! My stylist during my try on appointment wasn't very nice. She made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. But I got a great deal and my husband loved my dress!

I loved that the ladies were so helpful and yet honest with me. They never voiced their opinion until I did, however, they were so attentive to what looked good on me and what didn't and would share that once I gave my thoughts. I'm the type of person that if a pushy sales person takes an interest in me, I'm looking for the quickest way out of the store. That wasn't the case here. My mom and I recommended the Gibsonia store to my cousin and future sister-in-law, and they both found their dresses there. For the size of the store they have a great selection. They helped me order in a style I saw in Kansas, and when I bought that dress they put what I had paid for shipping toward the total cost. Loved it!

The staff & service at this salon were outstanding! I went to many other bridal stores in the Pittsburgh area and even though I found my wedding dress somewhere else, I still went back to the Gibsonia (North) store, they were able to order it for me so I could purchase my gown there. Janet, Sharon and all the staff were very personable and very patient with me, I felt very relaxed anytime I was there. The extra care and attention given to my dress & veil was exceptional. There was a problem with my veil but the mistake was taken care of very quickly. My mom also purchased her dress there with a wonderful experience as well. The salon had a very warm and friendly atmosphere and made me and my friends/family very comfortable there leading up to my special day! The on-site seamstress was very nice and did a wonderful job as well! This was one of the most enjoyable experiences during a stressful time, my dress was perfect!

I recently got married and purchased my bridal gown, along with my bridemaids dresses, and mom and mother in law dresses from this store. Each of my experiences was superb. I had my initial consultation with a young woman named Matea. She was a doll. She was so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. She even made me play a "game" to ensure that I was selecting the perfect dress for me and made the process a lot easier. I ended up choosing my dream dress on my first time trying on dresses. It was a gown that Matea selected for me and jokingly told me "I just had to TRY it for her". I am so glad I did.
When I came for my bridesmaid dresses I actually worked with Matea's younger sister who was just as wonderful. Like her sister, she was very honest and caring throughout the entire process. I was very surprised as to how knowledgeable these young girls actually are.
I later brought my mother and mother in law back to the store to purchase their gowns and A lovely woman named Donnie helped us. She was fun and really able to relate to them which was made the experience even more pleasant.
Upon Matea's recommendation I got my alterations done by Karen who works with the Exq. Bride. She did an impeccable job and the dress fit me perfectly. She was pricey, but well worth it!

My overall experience at the Exquisite Bride was fantastic. The only reason I took off half of a point is because the place is a little cluttered and there is a lot of discontinued merchandise and a few samples that look old and ratty. And the dressing rooms are a little small. But Ultimately I would recommend this store for any or all of your bridal needs.

I had a positive experience with this shop. Exquisite Bride also did my alterations. The prices were very fair and they included free alterations with my gown purchase. Although the dress only needed bra cups added, the dress was not designed to be bustled, but Elena was able to make it look as though it was. Elena is talented, but tends to run late for appts. When we were there early waiting for Elena the sales manager actually gave me $40 from the register to buy some food at Panera while we waited. I did subtract one star because I requested a swatch of the blue ribbon on my dress and it never came. While that's fine, no one followed up with me until I was there months later trying on my gown. I live in Maryland and even though I drove almost 4 hrs for my appts, I would say it was a worthwhile drive.

I had a really great experience with The Exquisite Bride. My bridal consultant was Lisa and she was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. When I had alterations, I worked with Elena. I was initially concerned because it was an all lace dress and it had to be taken in right in the front. Somehow (I still don't understand how) Elena took the dress in and re did the lace so it was completely seamless and you couldn't even tell where she did the alterations. She worked wonders with the dress.

My only complaint about this store is that they need a much larger store for how busy they are. There is not room to move around at all and since bridal season & prom seasonal overlap, there is never a good time to go there in the spring since it is swamped with teenagers.

I thought they did a wonderful job. My sales girl was very helpful and friendly. I only got a BM dress since I had on outdoor wedding and in other stores they tried pushing wedding gowns on me. Not here they treated me as if I was the bride even though I wasnt buying a bridal gown. They helped with shoes and other things too. My dress turned out so beautiful.

I worked with Jeanie, the sales manager at the Murrysville location. She took the time to ask the right questions and gauge my personality and style. We found the perfect dress after only trying on five. It was my first stop so I had a few more appointments that I wanted to go to to make sure. Jeanie was completely understanding. After being herded like cattle at the other places we went to, I knew Exquisite Bride was the right place and ran back to purchase my dress. Although EB is always buzzing and busy, Jeanie always stopped in when I had my fittings just to say hi and see how things were going.

Then, there is Elena. This woman is the most talented seamstress to walk the Earth. She effortlessly and seamlessly changed my dress from a button-back to a corset back and it was PERFECT. Seriously, she could probably turn a paper bag into a couture gown, she's just that good. She's not only talented but she's so cute and pleasant.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Exquisite Bride, the employees and the selection. I am a very satisfied customer!

I just have to refer this store. In all the stores I looked, I found the best consultant at The Exquisite Bride Murrysville location. Her name is Mateya Vesely and she is Awesome. Mateya was extremely knowledgable and professional from day one! I could not be more pleased with the service she provided me and my entire bridal party! Mateya found me and my bridesmaids the perfect dress right from the beginning -no hassles - her instincts and knwoledge as a bridal consultant are incredible!
As a result of my outstanding experience with Mateya, I will be referring The Exquisite Bride Murrsville store to all of my friends and family. In fact, my circle of 30-something friends who are getting married want an up-scale professional store with very knowledgable and professional consultants and that is exactly what I found in my consultant Mateya Vesely and The Exquiste Bride store. I am getting married in 2 wks and Mateya has gone out of her way to make sure my day is perfect and I just can't Thank her enough! :)

I had a fantastic experience at the Exquisite Bride in Murrysville, and I happily recommended them to my cousin's fiancee- who then visited and purchased her dress for her upcoming wedding!

My consultant, Lisa, was absolutely amazing. Unlike many brides, I had absolutely no idea what I wanted, no idea on style or fabric- nothing. She went out of her way to help me in the decision making process- while not pushing her own agenda or trying to make an extra buck. We were asked to make a return trip to try on a few additional dresses that were at their Gibsonia location that she was sure I'd love- and I was happy to do so.

I ended up purchasing one of the gowns she chose for me to try on- and since the company didn't have one near my measurements, I had a gown custom fit. Lisa told me that since the company was unable (or unwilling) to fit the gown to the proper measurements - they'd discount any alterations I had to have done. When the gown arrived- it was actually the right length, but still needed alterations.

It was decided even before ordering the gown that Elena would do all of the alterations on my gown- and I'm absolutely amazed by what she's able to do. She's skilled in lacework, and it certainly showed on my gown. My dress fit perfectly- and in addition - she made my veil and a custom bolero jacket from the detachable watteau train I opted not to wear with the dress. I can't say enough about her- she is a fabulous seamstress, and an incredible craftsperson.

Cons:
* You may have to wait awhile to get attention in this store, even if you go during a weekday. They're especially busy during prom season, which unfortunately overlaps quite a bit with wedding dress shopping/alterations.
* Prepare for a hard sell. I ended up buying a somewhat expensive veil, which I hadn't quite intended to do on the same trip.
* I ordered all 3 of my bridesmaids dresses at the same time. They were different styles of Jasmine B2 dresses. I asked for the fabric on all the dresses to be upgraded to Tiffany chiffon, but in the end only one of them was. I have no real way of knowing if the mistake was on Exquisite's end or Jasmine's end though, so I didn't take this into account in the star ratings.


Pros:
* A huge selection of dresses, which you are free to walk through and browse. This is really what made the difference for me.
* Lots of different designers. Casablanca, in particular, has some lovely dresses that seem less expensive than others without sacrificing quality.
* If you can pluck up the courage to ask, the staff seem to have a standard set of discounts they're all qualified to offer. I was offered $100 off my veil, $50 off alterations, and $10 (as opposed to $15-$20) shipping for my bridesmaids dresses, since all my bridesmaids live out of state. It never hurts to ask - just tell them that the dress is a little out of your budget, and ask if there's anything they can do!
* Once you do get the attention of one of the staff, the staff is exceedingly friendly and encouraging. This was especially important since no one came with me to my appointments, and I had no idea what I was looking for. The first time I came in on a Saturday afternoon, I was mortified that I was 20 minutes late after getting terribly lost. Courtney P. put me at ease, helped me pick out dresses since I had no idea what I was doing, and helped me figure out what worked and what didn't. The second time I came in, the shop was unbelievably busy, and I was mostly left to my own devices, but that left me more time to browse more on my own. The third time I was ready to purchase a dress, but Lisa helped me try it out one more time, and figure out a whole list of alterations that made the dress work even better. Lisa was incredibly patient and bubbly, which made an otherwise stressful experience so much more enjoyable!

I used the Exquisite Bride in Gibsonia. They were beyond great. I bought my dress and all of the bridesmaid dresses there and everyone was pleased. There was not one problem with any of the services. The ladies there were always professional but fun. The seamstress was more than fair and did a great job. HIGHLY recommend.

I bought & had my dress altered at the Exquisite Bride in Murrysville .. they have a wonderful selection of dresses !! Mataya helped me try on my dresses and she was great, very honest and friendly. She didn't really find dresses FOR me though, she just showed my girls & i the rooms with all their dresses in plastic bags and told us to go nuts!

Vicki did my alterations and she did a WONDERFUL job. the dress was perfect the day of, and she even numbered all the ribbons for my french bustle. My only complaint was that I felt kind of rushed during my first fitting, and she didn't offer much help. She just put me in the dress and started pinning.

I was in to try on gowns a few weeks ago and the consultants were so helpful! The teens working there were so knowledgable and fun to work with. My consultant (Kelly) helped me choose a dress, and even involved a pair of sisters that also worked there who were also very pleasant. I was surprised by this because I didn't want them to take the sale away from my consultant! When I asked her this, she told me they are like a big family and don't work on commission, so she wanted me to feel comfortable with my purchase by getting more than one opinion. They made both me and my families day special and successful. I ended up finding a gown I loved without any pressure from the young girls. A few of the older ladies working there seemed a bit miserable, so I suggest requesting one of the high school/college girls. The owner was very nice and helpful and I could tell she wanted me to look beautiful on my wedding day.

I plan to return with all my girls because we received 10% off BM dresses, my mothers dress, and future mother in law. I am very happy with the selection (it's HUGE) and the quality of gowns.

My only complaint, although I have not run into it yet, is alterations. When I was there one of the older consultants was on the phone trying to schedule an appointment with their seamstress and they were unable to schedule them in time of the event. I will make sure to make mine and my girls appointment way ahead of time!

I would not recommend the Murrysville location. They lost my daughter's wedding gown the day before her wedding. We went to pick up the dress and they couldn't find it. After a long search, they called the seamstress only to discover it had not been steamed. This was the 3rd unpleasant experience with them. The first visit AFTER the gown was purchased, 3 staff members ignored us at the front counter while they worried about a bead that needed repair to a gown that was going to the seamstress 3 days later. On another trip, they forgot to let the seamstress know we were there for an appointment wasting 1/2 hour. If you want service after the purchase, go elsewhere!

All the ladies at Exquisite Bride were great! They made myself and everyone I brought with me feel very special when I went to get my dress, they offered everyone bottles of water and chairs for them to sit in while I tried on all the dresses, I did not feel rushed or pressured at all. All the other times I had to go back whether it be for bridesmaids dresses, mother of bride/groom, accessories or alterations they were great. Dont have a single negative thing to say about them!

What a pleasant surprie! We were treated so well by the bridal consultants and staff of The Exquisite Bride in Murrysville. Our consultant was so friendly and knew her stock so well my daughter found the perfect dress it was the third one she tired on. Quick and efficient. We completely enjoyed this process and had more fun and ease than with any other wedding vendor we had worked with. They had a lovely selection of Bridal Gowns and everyone seemed to enjoy working with us and helping us. The Wedding Dress came in on time and the seamstress was a delight. No worries if ordering from The Exquisite Bride in Murrysville. So happy, so happy.

Everyone at Exquisite Bride was helpful and friendly. They helped find the perfect accessories for my special day. They also do a great job with alterations. It was my first and last dress shopping experience because I felt very welcomed there.

I had a great experience with The Exquisite Bride. From trying on gowns, choosing a veil, and then having the alterations made to the dress everyone I worked with was lovely. You can tell the ladies who work at the store really love what they do and are invested in helping you look just as you want to on your wedding day.

I would not recommend this vendor for your wedding dress. I drove 3 1/2 hours to find my dress. When I got there (I had an appointment) everyone was too busy to help me so my sister, mom and I found an empty room and looked around ourselves. It was only at the very end that someone showed up. When I requested to see a swatch of the other colors the dress came in I was told they didn't have one. Then when I picked up my dress I was extremely disappointed in the color, texture, and overall feel of the dress. I was standing there in tears and all they did was zip up my dress back in the bag, told me that's what the dress is and sent me on my way! It was the worst experience of all my vendors! Terrible!

I visited both the Gibsonia and Murrysville location and ended up purchasing my dress at the Murrysville location. I came to the store for one specific designer; however, in working with the owner during my gown search, she pulled many dresses from other designers and no designs even close to what I described to her. Once, I selected the gown (a dress from my chosen designer), I too was measured in the middle of the store (somewhat awkward). I did have my dress altered there. I was not aware of that the seamstresses did not actually work for the store. I would recommend getting your dress altered elsewhere. I had only basic alterations to be made; the hem and the bust area (including adding bra cups). It turned out that my bra cups were not aligned properly when sewn in the dress. During my second and final fitting, this was not obvious to me as I was only in the gown for a few minutes (was a bit rushed by the seamtress). With the uneven bra cups, my dress looked crooked at times throughout my reception.

Overall I highly recommend the store to find and buy your dress, but I would suggest getting alterations elsewere.

Their selection of dresses is very large, and they allow you to take pictures so that you can go back to see how dresses really fit you.

The sales staff is mostly very friendly and helpful. There is one grouchy sales lady who is not very knowledgeable that I just happened to keep running into. Also, my measurements were taken over my winter clothes, in the middle of the sales floor. I didn't appreciate being measure in front of other customers, and I actually asked to be measured again at a later date, to make sure that I was getting the correct size.

Some of the staff there are high school girls, but in my experience these staff members were all great.

The alteration process was in a word - CRAZY! Although the store is usually quite busy, when they were trying to sell me a dress, they made me and my mom/friends feel very welcome and relaxed. For the alterations, however, it was a very different atmosphere. They had a lot of people stuffed into a cramped space, with no help finding or getting into your dress. The 1st alterations were rushed, but I figured that the next time woudl be better. The 2nd time was worse, though, because there were 2 seamstresses trying to work in the same area (again with no help from any of the other staff). When I had a question if one part of my dress that was altered was taken in too much, I was told very sternly that it was the best she could do.

Again, I highly recommend the store to find and buy your dress, but I would suggest getting alterations elsewere.

my dress was beautiful, they tailored and stemed it for me, and even gave me a sizeable discount!

Exquisite Bride was wonderful. Elena, the seamstress, was the most helpful person. She not only altered my gown completely to fit better than it did on the model in the magazine, but she also created my matching headpiece, bracelet and necklace, custom designed to match my dress. She was phenomenal.

Exquisite Bride also included shoes with my dress, even though the dress was already hundreds of dollars less than where I'd found it elsewhere! I would highly recommend this little shop.

After searching so many other places, I came the whole way from Norfolk Virginia to my hometown in Leechburg. I had been at this shop before, and when I first went in they were at their old location. It was a lot more comfortable than other more retail-set shops. I found the dress that was perfect, the girl who helped was great because she knew how to both please me as the bride to be as well as keep my mother amused/happy while we shopped. The dress came out PERFECT and the only weird thing I experienced was thru their move & getting my maid of honor's dress. Seemed the paths got crossed and all different calls got placed to the wrong person when it came in (called me in Norfolk instead of her in PA) and said it wasn't in when actually another girl had just called my mom to say it was, while another girl had already set up my maid to pick it up. Little oopsy, but no big deal!! Everything else was great!!

I found my dress here at a great price on their sale rack! All of the women that work there were so helpful and nice. I also had my dress altered there by their seamstress and she did an amazing job, well worth the money, it was a little costly but she did a flawless job. The only draw back of using their seamstress is that she is only there only thursday nights (at the north hills location) so that makes it a little difficult when trying to make appointments. But otherwise they are great.

Although the prices were reasonable, they did not order my wedding dress until the last minute! Talk about stress for a bride!! They kept saying it would be ordered and in on time, and not to worry about it, but of course I worried. It did come in on time, but there was no reason for it to be ordered so late. And they had no excuse for doing so. Also, the staff was less than friendly to several of my bridesmaids. I'm glad all of this stress is over, but I won't be dealing with them again. Exquisite Bride was less than exquisite for me and my bridesmaids!

This bridal boutique was wonderful. They were always very helpful and accomodating. Their prices were reasonable and the women who work there are very passionate about what they do, and they don't make you feel rushed when trying on dresses.

We had such a wonderful experience with the ladies at The Exquisite Bride. I found my dress at another store in Mt. Lebanon, but they would not tell me the designer until I purchased the dress. That, along with unfriendly service, led me out the door and to The Exquisite Bride. They worked with me to find that exact same dress! They were so patient and so helpful. I also purchased my jewelry here and had my alterations done by Vicki - she did a WONDERFUL job! Very pleased with The Exquisite Bride!

I found the most beautiful Maggie Sottero dress online. I was in love. I called every bridal store in PA, but no one had it for me to try on. I was devastated. When I called the Exquisite Bride, I got the owners son on the phone and he insisted that he would get this dress from the company for me. Three weeks later I drove four hours to Pittsburgh to try on the dress and I knew immediately that this was it, I ordered it and they shipped it right to my house so that I wouldn't have to make the long drive again. I looked and felt beautiful in my dress and my husband couldn't have been happier with my choice. They will truly go out of their way to help you!

I knew I did not want to go with a big bridal store and it was the right choice for me. Tried on numerous styles, have so many in stock. Found exactly what I was looking for-described my look to my helper and she found it. Price was very reasonable, ordered everything correctly and let me know promptly when items arrived. Girls also got their BM's dresses there, very happy with their style and colors. Seamstress was freelance but excellent, very knowledgable and made us all look great. Staff knew you by name as soon as you walked in. Would and do recommend them to anyone.

Thanks to one of the staff members, I found my perfect dress at The Exquisite Bride! I was about to give up when Courtney asked me to trust her... I'm so glad I did. I loved my dress. Since I lived out-of-state, they held my dress for several months without any costs or pressure. I used their services to have my dress altered and it was perfect! I also got my veil there - a little "last minute" - and they had no problems getting it in. I highly recommend this dress shop!

I had a hard time finding the 'perfect' wedding dress. When I walked into Exquisite Bride, I knew there would be something there I would like. They have a great variety of dresses! When I was purchasing my dress the staff was extremely helpful. However when I went to pick up my dress and when I went in for shoes, they were rude. I was surprised because of how helpful they were on my first visit. It seems like once you buy the dress, their follow up service is not so good. They have a very good variety, but be careful, it seems the service is shaky.

The staff at The Exquisite Bride were so helpful and very professional. The selection and price was just as good as the large chains but the service was so much better.

Exquisite Bride is has a great selection, staff is attentive and knowledgeable, pricing is fair. They really did make the dress shopping easy, I trusted the staff and they found the perfect dress that I never would have noticed on my own. We purchased my wedding gown, veil, and shoes, my mother's gown, and all of the bridemaids dresses here. I've been in quite a few weddings where we've used this store and other stores. I've never been as happy with the other experiences as I have been every time with Exquisite.

The ladies at The Exquisite Bride were so very helpful. They answered any question I could have ever had and more. They were honest and very professional...and much more pleasant to deal with than the bigger stores where you are only a price tag to them. I bought my Maggie Sottero dress there and my mom and grandmother ended up getting their dresses there too! You will not regret visiting them!!
