Less than 1 month before our wedding, we realized that there were simply too many things to coordinate the day of our wedding and that if we wanted to enjoy our day, instead of juggling cell phones and putting out fires, we needed someone reliable who could be in charge. That's when we found Elaine. With so little time before our wedding, she immediately got completely up to speed, spending 2-3 hours with me that week to go over exactly what I had planned so far and what still needed to be done. She contacted all of our vendors ahead of time to let them know who she was, so if they had any questions or needed to be told where to be, Elaine was on it, not me (although she cc'ed me on emails so I was still in the loop). She went to our wedding venue (a garden in Staten Island) with me ahead of time to review the plan and get a sense of what the venue was like. She also made a separate trip to the garden without me to meet with the DJ and figure out how he was going to set up his equipment. I really didn't like our venue manager (he didn't share any wedding details with us unless we pushed him, and he and I had argued about details and costs, etc.), and was so incredibly thankful to Elaine who volunteered to be in touch with him, so I didn't have to be. That in particular alleviated a lot of stress. And she came out to the garden 2 days before the wedding again, to help us hang up lanterns in our tent.

But when I felt the most gratitude for Elaine was the day of our wedding. She brought along an assistant (at no additional fee to us) and between the two of them, everything went perfectly smoothly. The tables were set just the way I told her, the vendors all arrived on time and did what they were supposed to do, and any last minute trouble shooting was done professionally and without any commotion. For example, the cellist in our string quartet was supposed to be taken by bus to the ferry terminal so he could get back to Manhattan, but the bus was nowhere in sight. I found out later that Elaine asked her assistant to drive him in her car to the terminal. Also, our florist didn't bring the orchids for decorating our cake, but Elaine improvised and used extra flower petals and candles to make the cake and the cake table look beautiful.

My Mom told me after the wedding that deciding to hire Elaine was the smartest decision we made for the wedding. She could relax and just have a great time because she knew that we could trust Elaine to take care of everything. Elaine gave helpful suggestions, but also really listened to what we wanted. She was always available to me, prompt with email replies/returning my phone calls, and bent over backwards to accommodate us. I would definitely recommend her to any bride who wants to enjoy her big day without having to worry!!

Elaine DeLuca was an amazing help during our wedding planning. She not only suggested the best suitable vendors but also actively participated in all our appointments and negotiated the best possible rates within our budget. Elaine had very creative ideas and talent for orchestrating all aspects of the wedding. She is very passionate about her work, which shows brilliantly in the end product. Her coordination and planning on the day-of was outstanding. I HIGHLY recommend Elaine DeLuca for wedding planning services. I honestly don't know how I would have managed everything without her.

Elaine was by far my favorite vendor! She was so attentive and helpful during the planning process and wedding day itself.She was my lifesaver during many little meltdowns during planning. I had one of my groomsman from Florida who is getting married in August ask me if he could fly Elaine to Detroit for his wedding! She made an impact on everyone!

Elaine at Exquisite Events provided my day-of coordination. In the roughly six weeks from when I hired her up to the weekend of the wedding itself, she was always very responsive and helpful in pulling together the loose ends, suggesting fixes and things I hadn't considered yet and organizing the day of the wedding down to every necessary detail. She was always respectful of how we wanted our day to go, but she would be frank when she thought something needed to be reconsidered--both were attributes I valued. As for the day-of itself, it went off without a hitch -- from my perspective. Elaine managed a number of problems behind the scenes, without ever letting on to me or my guests that day. I had a wonderful wonderful time on my wedding day. I'm certain that was, in no small part, due to the help of Elaine at Exquisite Events.

Leading up to the wedding, I wasn’t sure if I had made the right decision hiring a day-of planner. It seemed like I had it all under control and that it was going to be a waste of my $. Granted, she did a whole timeline of the day for me and laid out all my payments and everything which I really did need help with but I was starting to feel like that was going to be it. Then a few days before the event she really kicked it up and totally came through.

First I had an incident with my photographer which she worked with me and them to resolve (more about that in the photog review) when I did not have time because I had a full day of spa appointments booked. On the day of she was simply amazing. She was at the hotel and made sure everyone was coordinated and ready and dressed on time – there were an awful lot of people to deal with and it would have been very overwhelming for me to handle that alone. She also did a ton at the Lighthouse from making sure the photo guest book was being worked on to taking envelopes from me and putting them in the bridal suite to keeping family informed and coordinated and paying all my vendors their final payments. I really felt having her was a great thing and one of the better decisions I made.

The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star was because my grandparents were annoyed that she got them organized a few times to take a pro pic with us but it never wound up happening. I don’t consider it her fault the pic didn’t happen (that’s obviously partially on me and the photographer) but for making them stand and wait a few different times telling them that it would.

She was amazingly organized and thorough. Especially since I had a morning wedding, there was no opportunity to address anything but to get ready. She handled all the envelopes and tips to all the vendors, confirmed all the vendors the week of the wedding and called them the night before to confirm my room number at the Waldorf. She met with me three times and the first meeting lasted four hours. And she is so great to deal with. The only reason why I had to give her only an A is because her assistant was late. This might have been attributable to why my husband forgot the wedding programs because she was supposed to be with him as soon as her assistant arrived. But they did manage to get the programs and hand it out after the ceremony. Other than that, I loved her and highly recommend her as a day coordinator. I literally had no worries. And it’s nice to have someone else order your family around so you don’t have to :)

Elaine went above and beyond. I had a lot of little details because of my theme and she kept track everything. We met with her for flower appointments and went to fitting with me. She helped me when I got dressed and gave me some good names for vendors too. Her lists of everything going on are amazing. She was so helpful planning tips and figuring out the timing for the reception.

Saving the best for last...Elaine was a godsend, hands-
down the best decision I almost didn’t make. She was
incredibly helpful before the wedding, going over details
with us that we had never even considered! Elaine has a
very clear knowledge of what wedding traditions and
conventions are, although we didn’t necessarily want to
adhere to all of them. Thanks to her, I literally had
nothing to do (I think I put a coat of topcoat on my
nails!) the morning of the wedding. During the
wedding, she was equally fantastic, dealt very well with
the staff at the Carlyle, helped me resolve one small
dress issue (my corset was digging in to me, and Elaine
magically produced a pair of scissors to cut off the tag
and medical tape to ease the rubbing), was in general
running around doing a million little things. In the
weeks leading up to the wedding, I was so so so glad I
had hired her, knowing that there were so many things
that I just didn’t have to worry about. My final words on

HIRE HER - I don't know how else to convey what a LIFESAVER she is. I just used her for my May 7th wedding and she did everything. From bustling my dress, working with the photograher, gathering every member of my 16 person bridal party on numerous occasions for pictures. She comes armed with every type of quick fix method, stain remover, bandaids, aspirin, ties to hold up sling back shoes, double sided tape for strapless dresses. She will keep everything moving on track and organized. She made sure every vendor was prepared and there on time (AND THEY WERE!) She was my "go to" person on everything. If there were any problems at my wedding I had no idea because Elaine handled everything for me. Even my skeptical mother wrote Elaine a note while I was on my HM about how much she appreciated her at the wedding. My father at the very last minute agreed to extending our wedding so that meant Elaine was immediately on the phone with the limo company, the shuttle bus place, the reception venue and spoke with the band and the videographer.

I know I sound like a newlywed on crack here but not only did I enjoy my wedding because of Elaine - most importantly I REMEMBER my wedding because of Elaine.-

A godsend. Seriously. I did not worry about a thing. Everything and everyone was where they were supposed to be at the time they were supposed to be there. The rehearsal and reception ran like clockwork. Elaine came to the rescue when, while practicing our first dance before our entrance, I kept stepping on the crinoline in my dress. She pinned me quickly and we were on our way. She helped me transport my dress and was always one step ahead of me. Goodness knows the fires she put out of which we were unaware. We would have been lost without her.
