Steve with Extreme Event Design was great. They were so easy to work with and were able to provide us with exactly what we asked for. We had one of their photobooths and it was a big hit. They gave us a book of all the pictures and we will have it always. I would recommend Extreme Event Design for any event to my friends and family.

We used Extreme Event Design for our photo booth and they did a fantastic job!! They were inexpensive and very professional. They also created a photo guest book and it turned out great. My only regret is that I didn't take more pictures in the photo booth!!

Steve absolutely made my reception. It was a somewhat unconventional wedding reception, and we had Steve provide us with music and karaoke. Everyone that attended the reception loved the karaoke and all participated - in fact most of the music for the reception was provided by the attendees. We had such a blast, and I've had so many people tell me it was the most enjoyable reception they have ever been to - and that is all because of Steve. I would highly recommend him to any and everyone looking to enjoy their wedding reception.

Steve was FABULOUS! He played everything we asked him to play. He was very professional yet laid back. He has some awesome equipment and he charges a fair price. Not too cheap, but not too expensive either. He makes it so easy to submit your music to him as well - it is all done through his website and he can get any song you want him to play. He also does everything via his computer for the actual event, so the dj area doesn't look tacky with hundreds of different CD's and things. He even offers a money back guarantee if you're not happy with his services - but I can promise that you won't need to use it - he does an amazing job! I DEFINITELY recommend you utilize his dj services!

Steve was a wonderful DJ and extremely helpful in making our reception run smoothly. We had lots of communication before the wedding day, and he was very prepared to run the event for us which was a blessing. No surprises either, the online tools were helpful for me to tell him exactly what I wanted, and everything went as planned. His setup was very professional - his lights were a great touch to make a very fun environment. The dance floor stayed busy throughout the night. A truly great value for what he delivered, too. He strictly adhered to our "do not play" list, and was NEVER one of those "over-the-top" annoying wedding DJ's. Very classy act - wish we had gotten to try his karaoke, but the night just went too quickly!

Hi, I'm Stephen Lynch, owner and executive DJ for Extreme Entertainment & "I Do" Music. I have been a professional DJ for over 10 years, and have performed in over 20 states. What music genres are in your collection?

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Describe your DJ style:

Very diverse. I know my music inside out, and can play nothing but good music for hours on end without offending anyone, or leaving anyone out. I have something for everyone.

What is your usual attire?

Jeans and a t-shirt. but for your event, I'll be in a Tuxedo, or attire of your choosing.

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?

No, part of being a professional DJ includes subscribing to professional music services. There have only been 2 or 3 songs in ten years that I couldn't locate.

How many other DJs do you work with?

I have 8 DJ's working for me. Most of them do nightclubs, and karaoke shows for me.

What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?

I will DJ for 5 minutes if you want, But my minimum booking is 4 hours.

Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?

Of course! I encourage it. 99% of my brides book on the spot after a face to face meeting. You should know who is going to be doing your reception before you hire them. That way there's no surprises, and you're confident that I'm the image you want.

Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?

Dabble? Yes... Specialize? No. I wouldn't lie to you and tell you I did.

Do you bring your own equipment?

Yes.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?

I offer Video, Karaoke, Lights, Lasers, Dancing under the stars, and other really cool add ons.

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?

1 hour minimum. I need no table. I am completely self contained.

Do you have any extra space requirements?

No, I require very little space, and can fit almost anywhere. My general rule is 6 to 8 feet wide will do.

Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?

Yes, but only when necessary. e.g. announcements, introductions, etc. You will not catch me making jokes, harrassing people into dancing, or leading a conga line around the room.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

no. if you offer food, I might nibble, but I prefer you not spend the money on an additional seating for me, as I will be busy DJing, and would hate to waste it.

What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

I belong to several DJ associations. In 10 years I've never missed an event. (I once broke my wrist while loading in, and DJ'd the entire wedding before going to the emergency room).... However, in the unlikely event that something catastrophic were to keep me from your event, I have about 5 of the top DJ's in Atlanta in my standby network. We all cover each other in the event of an emergency.

What is your overtime rate?

I normally don't charge overtime for a small overage. However, I'm very reasonable if the event needs to be extended.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?

I only charge fuel and lodging if the event is excessively far.

Additional Advice

My only tip is this. Meet your DJ. If you don’t like me at our first meeting, then you’re definitely not going to want me DJing your wedding. You’re paying for the perfect day. make sure you hire the perfect DJ.
Anyone these days can call themselves a professional.. See for yourself before hiring anyone, so you don't become another one of those people who "wish they would have done a little more homework"
