F.C. Wong Photography

Fu is going to be a star in this industry. I hired him over a year ago when he was still pretty new. His prices have gone up dramatically since then, and I can see why. We looked at about 6 photographers before deciding, which is a lot. But photography is really important to me, especially because I am an amateur photographer myself. Fu was the first photographer we met with. But I found myself comparing every other photographer to him.

I absolutely loved his work and his personality (cool, calm, pleasant), right off the bat. His work was exactly what we were looking for. I love great candid shots, and that's what he specializes in. He doesn't blow off the formals either, which was important.

He was super reasonable as far as price back then, and he's still very reasonable. I think he's one of the best photographers in the industry. His work is just special. It's got that extra little something. "Je ne se quois" is what the French call it. "I know not what."

He worked really well with my family and our wedding coordinator. He was punctual, even arriving earlier than expected. He's a very hard worker-- definitely the hardest working vendor at our wedding. Everything just went so smoothly!

When we got our images, we were just awed, stunned, floored. There are photographers charging 2x as much as he does, who couldn't hold a candle to his talent. My advice is definitely to take advantage while you can, before he is priced out of your range.

I just booked F.C. Wong Photography for my wedding in Hawaii. I wanted to just tell you why I went with him. Everyone has great images, Fu is no exception. His images are at the top of the list. But I didn't book him just on that alone. He has a great website and blog, with video entries that really let me get to know him. This is important for a bride who cannot meet him, like me (he's long distance).

He's very personable, online and on the phone. And from all his great reviews, I just know he'll be great in person too. For me, there was really no other choice. He's not the cheapest photographer, but worth that sacrifice!

F.C. created the most amazing images for my wedding. His black and whites, especially, are just breathtaking. So classic. He also just won some big award for his wedding photography, so congrats!!

He has this uncanny ability to be everywhere at once it seems. If he missed an important shot all day, I would never know it. I also really loved the albums. They are gorgeous and he puts them online for you so you can send it out to anyone in the world. This really was great for us, since we have elderly family and Europe that were not able to make it to the wedding.

I would recommend F.C. Wong Photography in a heartbeat! He does book up quickly, so definitely try to get in early.

My husband and I hit the jackpot by having F.C. Wong as our photographer. (Excuse the bad pun. We’re from Las Vegas!) At the time, F.C. was trying to get his name out by offering a “name your own price” promotion. Naturally we had to find out for ourselves if this marketing campaign was too good to be true.

F.C. was very professional, warm, and was receptive to our ideas (like having a high school prom-like photo booth area where our guests would come take pictures with us instead of us making the rounds to each table). He presented his portfolio and we were impressed by his keen ability to capture human emotion. We wanted a photographer with a natural artistic eye and knew we found the right man for the job.

Our package included an engagement shoot and we had a blast working with F.C. that day in Monterey. He made us feel comfortable and spent a lot of time making sure he got the shots he wanted. When we saw the pictures, we were blown away with how beautiful they turned out.

On the wedding day, F.C. and the second shooter, Gene, were both on-time and were great about meeting all our family and friends. After seeing some of the sneak peeks, I have no idea how they were able to get those amazing shots with the challenge of poor lighting at my parents’ house and at the church. They were faced with the challenge of rain and the daylight faded quickly prior to the reception but somehow they managed to take exquisite pictures.

Since those “name your own price” package days, F.C. has indeed established himself as a key player in the wedding photography business. I like to think that I “discovered” him before he became so well-known, haha. Thanks F.C. for chronicling our wedding day in a way we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

There is no one that will work harder for you than F.C. Wong Photography. In both our wedding and our engagement shoot, he went above and beyond anything we expected. He stayed later and gave us more images than was originally promised. The quality of the images were also beyond anything we could have imagined. The images are sublime. Overwhelmingly cool and beautiful. He's also very accessible and really quick to return messages. Definitely our favorite vendor! Thanks F.C.!!!

Moments from our life that slip away and may never come back, deserve to be kept frozen in time. This is F.C. Wong's job. So simple, yet so elegantly executed and so fine materialized.

Our experience with F.C. was excellent. He worked hard trying to achieve his and our goal, to capture the moments and the emotions of the day. And he did. The photos he provided were absolutely amazing, and looking at them I'm so happy we chose him, because now, we, and in the future our children, will be able to re-live the moments and the emotions through his photos.

He is very friendly and warm, but never misses his focus off of his work. I already recommended him to all of my friends without a second thought.

My wife and I recently got married in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We had been told that two of the most important things in any wedding is the music (to make sure people have a good time) and the photographer (to make sure you capture the good time). As a former DJ in my younger days I had the music part covered. My wife works in the fashion industry and has traveled all over the world working with some of the best photographers in the industry. So she was very careful when choosing a photographer. It turned out to be one of the last things decided on because she did so much research. She was looking for a certain style and at a fair price since we were on a specific budget. FC Wong fit the bill on both!

His style is incredible. Since his background is in photojournalism, his pictures tell a story. He is able to capture moments rather than pose people for shots. In fact, almost everyone that saw our first round of pictures said that they "felt like they were there". And they were right. The pictures have a style and feel that capture the emotions of the moment. His pictures really look like they can be in a magazine. They are elegant and edgy at the same time, very modern and beautiful.

As far a pricing goes, he is EXTREMELY fair...for now. He has only been doing destination weddings for a short time and was having a special when we booked him. But based on his work I fully expect his prices to go up closer to fair market value. He also spent much more time and took many more pictures than we agreed upon which was very kind of him. He will definitely make a name for himself in fashion photography!

Finally, one of the best things about Fu is Fu. He is extremely professional. He was SO easy to work with and was well liked by every single person at our celebration. He is not pushy or demanding like other wedding photographers I have seen. He is easy going and like I mentioned, tries to capture moments rather than pose them. He went about his business most of the time without us even knowing he was there. He did not get in anyone's way and allowed us all to enjoy our special day!

Absolutely Stunning, Astonishing, Breathtaking work.
I hired F.C. Wong Photography because when I met Fu, he totally blew my socks off with his talent. You simply cannot believe his eye for the creative. On top of that, he was so professional, showing us a detailed big-screen presentation of his work, and explaining his shooting philosophy so thoroughly, that we simply could not come up with any questions at the end of our meeting. As you can imagine, he books up very quickly. We booked him out a year and half in advance. Absolutely first rate all around.
