Our families stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani during the week of our wedding. We really enjoyed the comfortable rooms, beautiful landscape, and the great service. We even got leis and a fun fruit drink when we got there. What a great touch!
The Fairmont's pastry kitchen made our wedding cake that was served at the restaurant. It was delicious and we were allowed to take the rest back to our room.
We stayed at the Fairmont while on Maui. The rooms were HUGE! The staff was nice, but I liked the people at the Fairmont Orchid better.

Ricky at the Fairmont Kea Lani was outstanding! I have a gluten allergy and was worried that our wedding cake would be difficult to make. We stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani for our wedding and asked Ricky, the hotel's pastry chief, if he could make a gluten free wedding cake. He had made many gluten free wedding cakes and even had a sample for us to try. I was so excited that this would not be a problem but even more excited to be able to have a tasting! The cake was a two-teir cake with gluten free chocolate cake on top and white cake with lilakoi filling on bottom. It was amazing! I am going to use Ricky for any special occasion in Maui! Thank you again Ricky!

Polly was our wedding planner at the Kea Lani; she was absolutely wonderful to work with! We were living in Idaho and in Chicago during the year and half leading up to our wedding in Hawaii but distance was never an issue. I could always get a hold of her or know that she would return my call/email. She would remind of everything I needed to do (order invitations, send them out, contact my photographer, etc.) Her and her staff were nothing but kind and professional for the entire event. The catering was amazing as was the salon where she booked hair and make-up for my mom, sister and myself. She even booked me an appointment for a hair-cut the day after my wedding. She was very flexible with me changing my mind and not knowing what I wanted to do. She never told me we had to do anything a certain way, the entire day was up to us to plan it OUR WAY. Yes, the wedding ended up being over budget but was extremely worth it. I not change a single thing if I were to do it again!
We chose this location out of the other area hotels because they offered us a much better rate on rooms than the other locations we looked at (Four Seasons & Grand Wailea). The Pacific Terrace was our location, overlooking the ocean. It was really pretty, and perfect for our group of 22.
I'm giving them a low rating because I really didn't like working with my hotel appointed coordinator, Sandy. She didn't seem interested in helping with ideas or setup or anything. When she did make suggestions, they were very dated -- as in cool for a 1980's wedding. She was difficult to work with and talked down to me any time I would get in touch with her. Then, when we met, I started to understand why she didn't care that much about my wedding. Frankly, she was closer in age to my grandmother than me! She was just really out of touch, and all of this was reflected in the details of our wedding.
