Oh where do I start. I guess the beginning. When I first signed the contract wth Falcon Head for the reception hall they told me I could provide my own DJ, or they have one that works for them. So, thinking of that convenience I told them I would use theirs. Their DJ was also cheaper than other ones. Now I know why. The DJ they gave me never returned my phone calls or emails. Then 2 weeks before the wedding he emailed me saying he couldn't DJ for me. He didn't apologize, he just said he had computer problems and lost all his music. So thankfully the people at Falcon Head found me anouther one 2 days later. He souned professional on the phone. But that's where it ended. We go to the reception a little early and I wanted to do the toasts before dinner instead of during dinner, to kill some time so our guests weren't so bored. I sent my mom over to tell him that, but he said no, we couldn't. He was not flexible at all. I honestly don't think he had ever DJ'd before in his life. He didn't play anything during dinner (i.e. light jazz). When he did start playing music, he left 30 second gaps in between each song. He played some pretty awful songs to. During the generation dance (married couples) he played depressing, sad songs like Hurt by Johnny Cash. Lots of weird stuff like that. He had no personality either. Then he started smoking. It was a non smoking facility, and it made me feel very uncomfortable since cigarette smoke bothers me. My sister in law went over and asked him to please stop smoking and his reply was, " I'm the manager here I can smoke if I want." To sum this up I was VERY unhappy with the DJ. I guess I paid for what I got though. They charged me $200 for his "services"


CATERING
Although Falcon Head provided a horrible DJ, the food was GREAT! I talked to Kim, I believe she is the banquent manager. She was a nice lady, but kind of treated me like I was just another bride with just another reception. I got the feeling that she thought I was dumb because I asked questions. She kind of had the "duh" look on her face when she answered them. She was flexible though. She let me pick my linens out, and didn't charge me for multiple colors. I could change our meal choices up to a week before the wedding. I didn't know the cooks name, but the food was delicious. We had roast beef, turkey, scalloped potatoes, cheesy broccoli, stuffing, rice pilaf, salad, and rolls. They also made one serving of veggie stir fry for my vegetarian cousin. This all cost 15.95 per person. I got so many compliments on the food that it made up for the bad DJ.
