If I can save one bride-to-be from making the biggest mistake of her life, I would ask that you heed this post. My fiance and I had been looking for a place to take my dress to get altered a few weeks before our wedding. It was a $4000 Pronovias dress so I wanted to make sure that the cleaners was reputable. Using wedding wire we found positive ratings on Fashion Dream and decided to entrust them with my dress.
Prior to dropping it off, we had the dress professionally cleaned and steamed - all it needed was to get altered since I gained some more weight since initially trying on the dress. Just a few weeks before the wedding, my fiance and I traveled from VA Beach to Northern VA where we would get married and dropped off the dress. The owner was pleasant but being short, she proceeded to drag my dress across the dirty floor when carrying it to the rack. I should have said something then but was in a hurry and agreed to come back a few days before my wedding to pick it up. My sister and mother went to pick up the dress and found the dress filthy. Brown spots that looked like coffee stains dotted along the hem-line. The alteration was sub-par at best, I could still see shreds of strings along the bust-line. The owner crammed the dress into a small garment bag creating deep creases and wrinkles. Needless to say, we had to scramble around and find a place that would clean and steam my once flawless, now ruined dress just two days before the big day. Perhaps the owner is better suited for altering other things but would I ever recommend this business for wedding gowns? ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY NOT.

I got my wedding dress altered at Fashion Dream and the shop did a great job! I would bring along a friend or two to help understand the lady working in the store since there is a bit of a language barrier, but the dress looked perfect on the wedding day!

Fashion Dream is a dream! After being quoted $500-$700 for wedding dress alterations elsewhere, I was thrilled to find such a talented seamstress with such reasonable prices. My dress was super heavy and she did a 9 point bustle! She used different color ribbons and buttons to show my bridesmaids where to tie what. She also shortened the straps on my reception dress. I would trust this woman with any garment and will definitely be using her for my tailoring needs from now on. Everyone at my wedding said my dress looked like it was made just for me, and part of that was her handiwork!

I bought my dress out of state and only had about two months to get the alterations completed. Several other area seamstresses couldn't accommodate me on such short notice, Fashion Dream was able to do the work quickly and accurately and for a reasonable price. I've already brought another item there for alteration.

MOB: Fashion Dream altered the bride's wedding dress (bought from the Lynchburg YWCA Church Street Bridal), the MOB dress, and the MOB silk pants suit for the RD. EXCELLENT alterations and most accomodting. Easy parking. Multiple fittings (as the bride lost weight). Great vision. Mrs. Kim really knows fabrics and design. Several alteration required for each item - ALL done expertly. Father of the bride picked up our dresses the morning of the wedding - so the dresses were freshly steamed.

Fashion Dream did a WONDERFUL job on the alterations to my dress. I bought my dress from Filene's Basement's Running of the Brides event. Several alterations needed to be made, but the dress was BEAUTIFULLY done. I could sell the dress today for more than what I paid for it. We hit a little snaffoo because she was altering my dress during the time period that she was moving to her new location. However, once she moved we got right back on track.

I had my dress altered here and they did a great job. She explained everything as she went along and was clear about the cost of each alteration on the dress. She has a lot of experience altering wedding gowns.
