Ferry & Fanny did an amazing job with our wedding photography! From the first time we met them at our engagement session through the send off on our wedding night we absolutely clicked! They took all of the pictures we wanted and suggested tons of different poses and backgrounds that turned out really well! The pictures are AMAZING!!! I found Ferry through my sister, who also got married this year. He had done her engagement and wedding photos, which turned out beautifully... so we booked him for our wedding as well. He was extremely professional, responded to all my questions promptly and offered guidance for planning our wedding day and various other issues that worry a stressed-out bride.

My husband and I got married on September 3, 2011. We searched high and low for a quality photographer that would also fit within our budget. I'm so glad we found Ferry! Prior to our initial meeting, Ferry was more than responsive to our email exchanges. During our first meeting he was very professional, and provided a lot of different options for our special day. A few months later we were ready to do our engagement session. We had a few ideas of what we wanted so Ferry suggested Mount Vernon in VA. It couldn't have been a better location! The engagement session gave us a chance to get comfortable with the camera and Ferry's style. The pictures were amazing!!

Prior to our wedding day, Ferry made sure that everything was in order. He showed up on time and began snapping away. He was able to split his time evenly to ensure that everything was captured. When I saw the pictures from our day I was surprised to see that some of the most candid intimate moments were on film. Every picture was gorgeous!! My husband and I couldn't afford a videographer but looking at the pictures Ferry captured makes us feel like we can relive the day.

We have been so thrilled with our photos taken by Ferry Huang and continue to get so many compliments from family and friends. Ferry was flexible when the weather was not cooperating with our schedule, he was easy to get in touch with, and was very helpful with any quesions we had. We had a lot of fun taking the pictures and were so excited to see how they turned out. He was also great at capturing our toddler's faces even when they weren't in the mood to smile. We love Ferry's techniques of creating uniqe, modern, colorful, and beautiful photos!

We really loved having Ferry as our photographer. We met him and his wife during our engagement session, and found them to be really warm, easy going, and creative. They picked a gorgeous park to take the photos, and took some amazing shots using the trees and flowers and different camera angles...my friends and family loved the photos and noted that some of them were very artistic and almost out of a movie scene. I liked that he mixed in some black and white photos to the portfolio. The day of the wedding, they both showed up early and were very efficient and flexible, careful not to get in our way as we got ready, and maximizing their time to get great shots of the dress and accessories, as well as me and the girls getting ready. They were absolutely great dealing with the huge family photos of 20 - 30 people I planned, and smoothly worked around the rain that interrupted our outdoor photo schedule. They said not to worry, we could catch up on photos at a lull at the party. And then they surprised us by taking one of my favorite photos of the night : me, my husband, Dad, bridesmaids, and brother, carrying black umbrellas and my train as we ran and giggled on our way to the reception. It was the perfect natural shot. Plus later on we got some great couples shots that we had missed earlier, as they had promised. The results were fabulous, and it didn't bother me that we had to do them in the middle of the party, because they were quick and Ferry made it fun. I highly recommend him to any bride.

Ferry was such an amazing photographer to work with. During the entire process he was always so receptive of our ideas and creative with his own insights and direction. He made us feel incredibly comfortable during our engagement photo shoot. He actually brought his wife, who was lovely and a great helper. The two of them made us feel like super models :) During our wedding, he captured every step of the way- and we didn't even notice he was there (at least not during the reception). He was also wonderful at dealing with our somewhat distracted wedding party! His style of photography is very modern and he does a fantastic job capturing emotions. Our wedding pictures turned out absoultely fabulous! We have received so many compliments. Overall, I highly recommend Ferry, not only for weddings but for any other types of personal photography projects. And last but not least, he was affordable yet delivered top of the line photos. Ferry and his wife captured every possible moment of our wedding. They were completely unobtrusive and unassuming, yet were able to coordinate and find opportunities for photographs that turned out lovely. They are punctual, very easy going, very pleasant, dependable, and extremely courteous; Ferry has a unique talent to creatively sequence videos in his slideshows that are so fun to watch and cherish. My only recommendation to others is be very clear what you want. I wish we had more photos of only the bride and groom and less candid shots at our reception. In other words, I would have preferred a bit more communication/direction before and during the wedding with more opportunities to pose for shots to ensure we have enough together as a couple. Overall, we are pleased with Ferry and his wife's work.

I heartily recommend Ferry Huang photography for anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer. We had an unusual Orthodox ceremony, and Ferry was able to catch all of the important symbolism in a really beautiful and meaningful way. Ferry was an absolutely wonderful photographer to work with. We received a recommendation for Ferry from a friend who was in a wedding he photographed. After meeting with Ferry, we immediately felt comfortable hiring him as our engagement and wedding photographer. Ferry did a fantastic job of covering our wedding. In the months prior he was very easy to get a hold of, answered emails and phone calls. Ferry made sure he knew exactly what we wanted and what opportunities the venue had for photo opportunities. The day of he took wonderful pictures of our ceremony, families, just the couple and the entire reception. He had a great eye for catching some memorable and wonderful. I did so much research trying to find a good photographer for a resonable price in the DC area- and it was so difficult. I'm so happy I found Ferry, we have AMAZING photos of our wedding day- an amazing combination of candids, poised shots, artsy shots, everything! (he spent over 10 hours with us that day!) When I look at the quality of his pictures compared to other way more expensive photographers you can't see any difference, you just see it in his prices and flexibility. An engagement shoot is also included in his packages, even with his lower prices!
He is also very easy to work with and remains in constant communication with you via phone and email. We had a great time taking pictures with him, he's very friendly and puts you at ease. And the assistants he uses during the shoots are just as nice.
We haven't ordered our photo album yet because its impossible to narrow down from the over 1,000 pictures he took!

Ferry Huang and his team did an incredible job and the final result was awesome! We first met Ferry during our Engagement Session in Alexandria, VA where he and his team happily braved the cold wind to work with us into the evening as we walked around Old Town getting our picture taken like movie stars. On the day of our wedding, Ferry drove 2 hours to our wedding location and was on-the-ball getting pictures from every angle. He was able to capture the important moments, though remain silent in the back-ground so that he wasn’t a distraction – a true professional!

The turn-around time was incredible. Only two days for the engagement session photos, and two weeks for the wedding pictures. My wife and I are amazed at the quality of the pictures and couldn't be happier with the final product! We are also excited to share these pictures with our family and to post links to Ferry’s blog so that everyone can see what a wonderful job he did!

Ferry far-exceeded our expectations by giving us pictures that we will cherish for a lifetime and we will refer him to anyone in this area (and beyond!) who asks about a photographer. With Ferry you get one of the most professional photographers DC has to offer!

Ferry and his assistant were incredibly easy and fun to work with. They communicated well with us, but were not afraid to share with us their expertise. During the wedding, Ferry and his assistant kept a watchful eye on our table - as soon as we stood up to start visiting tables, they were right behind us, snapping pictures. We got almost 2,000 pictures from 8 hours of service, an incredible value. Know that you won't be getting super-fancy photos like some of the more upscale establishments might offer. Check out Ferry's website - the samples posted there are definitely representative of what we got. The album he provides could be improved because the photos were posted out of order, and it was hard to tell the 250 edited photos apart from the unedited ones. The DVD we received was great, however. Overall, Ferry was an asset to our wedding and we would highly recommend him to any new couple, especially at the prices he offers!

Ferry was a great photographer. He did both our wedding and engagement photos and we couldn't be happier. He is professional, laid back, non intrunsive and yet he managed to catch every special moment during our wedding. He is great at taking candid shots as well as artistic still shots.

As the mother of the bride, I was extremely busy and felt like I had missed so much of my daughter's wedding day. Ferry Huang of Ferry Huang Photography was absolutely wonderful. He was professional, courteous, flexible, and on time. He met us at the hotel near the reception location. He took pictures of the bride getting ready, and then came to the reception and took outdoor pictures before the ceremony, during the ceremony and during the cocktail and entire reception.

Words can't express how pleased we were with the quality of the photography that Ferry provided us. We looked at a number of photographers that were 3 to 6 times the price and we feel that the quality of Ferry's work was on par with theirs. He is so incredibly professional and was always prompt in replying by emails, meeting up before and for the wedding. Since we were living overseas while we planned our wedding in Maryland everything was done online or by phone. Yet Ferry was so flexible and easy to work with throughout the entire process. We have very specific tastes and had certain shots that we wanted. Ferrry listened to all of our suggestions and mades sure it was all incorporated. He captured all the right moments yet was never intrusive during the ceremony or reception. After the wedding he got back to to us prompty despite having packed summer of wedding shoots. It was very clear that a lot of time and care went into all the post-photo shoot editing. He has a phenomenal abilty to make work look very high end. When I look at my photos I still can't believe he was one of the least expensive photographers we found. Talk about value for money!!! All of our friends couldn't stop telling us what an amazing photographer we had. The slide show that he made for us with music made it so easy and so much fund to share photos with family and friends immediately after the wedding.
In short - he is highly recommended by us. Our favorite vendor along with our DJ!

We were so pleased with every aspect of the photography services that Ferry Huang provided for us. Ferry answered every e-mail and phone call quickly and professionally from the first time I contacted him about our wedding (most of the time answering within 24 hours!). He answered all of the questions we had, and was very friendly in these communications. During the wedding, we had so much fun doing our photo shoot. It was easy to be relaxed and comfortable. At the ceremony and reception, we forgot that Ferry was even there! He was able to do a great job without being at all intrusive. His assistant (who is also his wife, Fenny) was also wonderful, she really had a positive attitude that helped to make it easy to smile for all of those pictures! Our guests commented on how nice and professional he was to everyone. After the wedding, he is still very quick to respond to us, and we absolutely love our pictures. He really got some stunning shots, and really seemed to get the feel of the day. He has gotten everything back to us even quicker than it says in our contract! Ferry was an awesome photographer!! He captured every little detail from the beading on my wedding dress, my bouquet, my shoes, the rings, putting makeup on, our vows, every hug, every laugh, all the dancing, the speeches, every single special moment! He was very easy to work with and was very professional throughout the day and night. (and let me say it was about 100 degrees the day of our wedding) Ferry and his assistant were close by throught the reception, all I had to do was give them the signal to come and get a particualr shot I wanted! They both had awesome ideas for posing and they literally every pictured he edited came out perfect!! His editing skills are extrodinary!! I just received my pictures today and I was blown away at the quality! Everyone that I have shown says they look like they should be on the cover of a magazine! Ferry and his wife Fenny surpassed my expectation by a mile. Since day one of being in contact with Ferry, I knew I was in good hands even if I had never met him. Ferry and his wife took pictures of my henna ceremony, my Hindu ceremony and my recpetion (I had a different photographer for my Christian ceremony). You would not think this is their first Hindu wedding if you see the quality of their work. Our pictures are perfect and I am in love with every single one of them. Even my ever picky husband loved their work. Most of the time, I did not even realise they were there to photograph the event. They were very non intrusive yet very friendly with everyone.
