Reviews for Fiftyflowers.com
Before I get into all the things that went wrong with my DIY flowers that I ordered from them, I will say the quality of flower is superb. I was really pleased with my Giant pure white hydrangeas but that is a testament to the growers, C.I. American Flowers, more so than the distributor. Now to the good stuff. This was the WORST part of my wedding experience. The roses I ordered were bright yellow and green instead of white and cream. No they did not change color as the phone operator told me they would. When I called they refused to send new flowers and started lecturing me in a patronizing tone. After going back and forth and trying to be nice I just cut in and started tearing the girl to bits over the phone. Yes it was mean but they were very very rude. She still refused to fix the situation in any way so I proceeded until she hung up on me. I made her cry and I don't regret it for one second after how rudely I was treated. I called back and they refused to answer. I called again and the manager picked up, again the same extremely rude treatment, refusing to do anything to fix the situation. I finally negotiated a $30 refund but considering that I spent $400, $200 or so on flowers I couldn't use, I would still give them a very low score. Plus the stress of having to scream on the phone two days before the wedding was not what I needed. Also, I spent that same afternoon visiting and purchasing white flowers from every floral department of every grocery store in my area. Something I DEFINITELY did not need before the wedding. Very very disappointed in the customer service, or really the lack thereof.

We gladly worked with this bride to solve all her concerns. We understand that she was upset about the colors, and we did our best to assist her and ensure quality product and service.
Our customer ordered cream and white roses. The varieties sent were 25 stems of Blizzard Rose, a white rose variety, 25 stems of Message Rose, a cream rose variety and 80 stems of Cream Sensation, a cream mini rose. We know that each bride is unique and we have learned to provide brides with options. For this reason, we sell roses by general color or by specific variety. The bride ordered general colors, not specific tones/variety. As we explained to the customer, when you order by general colors, this means that we send any rose from our selection of available varieties. Mother Nature does not create all roses equal – tones vary from variety to variety. She received both cream and white roses as requested. As for her “yellow” cream roses, if you take a look at our website, you will see that some cream varieties naturally have more intense tones. And what is cream after all but a white base with light yellow hues? We also explained that a rose changes tones as it blooms. Our roses are shipped in bud form with guard petals attached, and they required 2 to 3 days to fully bloom. During this time, the rose opens and the inner petals are exposed. We stressed that the “green” she was seeing on her white roses were the outer guard petals (which a florist removes), and that once these are removed and as the flower opens, the rose would reveal a true white color.
All of this information is posted on our website. We are a reputable company who has served over 10,000 brides. We provided the bride with the flowers she ordered. Yet, although we were under no obligation to do so, we extended nearly a 20% refund to the customer because of our commitment to providing quality flowers and services to do-it-yourself brides. For all of you brides who currently have orders with us or who are considering placing an order, call us, ask us about tones and colors, or talk with the other 10,000 brides who we have helped to provide the wedding flowers of their dreams.
I was hesitant to order my flowers from fiftyflowers.com after reading some of the reviews posted but I decided to follow through with my order because they had the best package to suit my needs. In the end, I was very satisfied with the quality of the flowers and the service I received. After ordering the flowers online they called to make sure they had everything correct. When the flowers were delivered they called within 15 minutes to make sure that what I had ordered was delivered and to make sure that I was happy with everything. The flowers were gorgeous and they even sent the specific color of roses I requested even though it wasn't listed as an option for the package I wanted (terra cotta roses and burnt orange calla lilies). I would do business again with them in the future and I've recommended them to a friend who is getting married in June!
With the flowers from my order I made:
My bridal bouquet
6 Bridesmaids bouquets
1 Jr. bridesmaid bouquet
8 boutonnières
1 Groom’s boutonnière
4 corsages
and all of the petals for my flower girl
I’ll be posting pics in my bio as soon as I get some back from the photographer.
The flowers ended up beautiful. We made sure to hydrate them 24 hours in advance. We should have double checked the contents because we were missing a set. Our resort actually paid to have them replaced.
I ordered the roses for our centerpieces and our bridal party bouquets off the internet. They were stunning! They arrived exactly as they said they would, and perked right up and opened just the right amount. I couldn't be happier.
The company itself was wonderful to work with, also. They called me to confirm the order as soon as I placed it, and they called after the delivery to make sure everything was in order and to see if I had any questions/problems with the flowers.
I highly recommend them to anyone going the DIY route. In fact, we're now well past the wedding, and the bouquets are still alive and looking good!
I used FiftyFlowers to order rose petals for our flower girl basket and to line the aisle for the ceremony. I ordered lavender petals to match our wedding decor. However, not only did my petals arrive a day early (so that they started to decay early), but they arrived in the TOTALLY wrong color - alternating bags of hot pink petals and cream petals. Since it was so close to our wedding and such a small part of the decorations, we chose just to toss the hot pink petals and use the cream petals for the aisle. When I later contacted FiftyFlowers to seek a partial refund (as I was not able to use half the product that I purchased), they refused to do so and gave me no explanation as to why the mistake had occurred in the first place. They seemed to have no concern for the satisfaction of their customers at all, and instead chose to strictly adhere to a policy that all complaints must be lodged within 24 hours of delivery - which from the perspective of a bride with a gazillion things to do before the wedding is totally unacceptable and inadequate. I decided to go with FiftyFlowers because they were the least expensive, but I should have remembered the lesson that you get what you pay for - in this case the wrong product with zero customer service. I would NOT recommend FiftyFlowers to any brides looking for a convenient source of rose petals or flowers for your wedding.

FiftyFlowers’ policies have been created to ensure customer satisfaction. It may seem sometimes that our policies are unreasonable, but it is actually quite the contrary. We allow our customers to communicate a flower problem up to 24 hours after delivery, which is a standard in the online bulk flower industry. Flowers are perishable products that naturally die over time. For this reason, our team has to act fast when a problem arises, not only because we understand the flowers are being used for important events such as weddings, but also because we want to assist our customers with solutions to the best of our abilities. In this case, it was impossible to extend our policies for a complaint that was received nearly a month after the flowers were received. We would have been more than willing to work with this customer had she contacted us prior to her wedding. We were limited in our abilities to assist this customer since it was impossible to physically inspect the flowers a month after delivery.
FiftyFlowers cares about our customers. We strive to provide high quality products and excellent customer service. We also want to let our customers know that we work hard for their business and that we are here to assist you, to offer personalized service, and to answer any questions you may have prior to and after placing an order with us.
Here's an excellent choice for any do-it-yourself bride. Since I'm an event planner I'm always on the lookout for bargains. I was able to get a better deal from Fifty Flowers for my wedding (bargain shopping) than from my local vendor, due to their excellent wedding package deals. I've used them before with great results. Can't wait until those beautiful roses and lillies come in!
I ordered online and picked the day before the wedding to have them arrive because of what I had heard about flowers being dead on the wedding day. After I ordered they called to confirm info and helped me pick a better date to have them delivered. They assured me that two days before the wedding they flowers would be fine. They arrived on time and then I even received a call to make sure I was happy with my order. The flowers were gorgeous and arrived perfect. On my wedding day they were all open and looking amazing. Everyone kept asking who my florist was and was surprised to find out they were ordered online. We had gerbera daisies and hydrangea and they looked beautiful.
I ordered online and received a call from the vendor to discuss the delivery date to make sure it was what I wanted. I am glad I took her advice. The morning the flowers were delivered I received another call to make sure they were satisfactory. The flowers were gorgeous and held up wonderfully all day in the heat of the beach in August. I think fifty flowers is a great way to save money and still have beautiful flowers. I had blue and green hydrangea's and white gerbera's. I had enough gerbera's leftover to add to my tables too.
I ordered my 200 white ranunculus in April for my July 12th wedding. Soon after placing my internet order a phone-call follow up took place. I felt really comforted after that. The flowers came when they said they would, except they were not 200 white, they were beat-to-hell assorted color ranunculus. It wasn't that easy to file acomplaint either. At the time we were renting a cabin with out internet access. We had to drive around to find a coffee shop that had wifi. I got the number from my email, made a call only to have them tell me they needed a picture if the flowers before they could take action. My sweet husband went back to the cabin to get the flowers, brought them to me to take a cell-phone picture. I sent it, and an hour later I get a call from "Vanessa" saying "yes, they are definitely not white." WTF? And no, I didn't get an apology, and they could not replace the flowers because they did not have access to 200 white ranunculus. She offered me carnations, and roses, but I wanted these flowers for a reason. I passed and requested a refund. I got an email confirming it, but we'll see in this month's statement.
In short, I would not recommend them.

Fiftyflowers.com gladly worked with this bride to solve all her concerns. We understand that she was upset about the colors of the ranunculus she received, and we did our best to assist her.
As our customer mentioned, we offered a full refund for the inconvenience with her ranunculus. The money was refunded in a timely manner as promised. Fiftyflowers.com accepted the responsibility for this mistake and assisted the customer as soon as were aware of the issue.
Unfortunately, at the time of shipping, we no longer had the ranunculus she originally ordered. However, Fiftyflowers.com offered different flower options to ensure the customer has flowers for her event; however, the customer declined the options provided.
For all of you brides who currently have orders with us or who are considering placing an order, call us, ask us about our flowers, or rely on the testimony of hundreds of satisfied brides who we have helped to provide the wedding flowers of their dreams. We are here for you.
I loved this DIY floral website. Not only did they have high quality flowers but they also have great online classes to teach you how to arrange them. The lavender roses I purchased lasted for 14 days before I finally threw them away. I was able to make 16 table arrangements, and 4 large decorative arrangements with the 400 roses I purchased. The flowers came straight to my door and I received a phone call from the company shortly thereafter to make sure that I was happy with my flowers. The only issue I had was that the roses started off looking very very pink...however with time and patience the buds opened a little bit and the lavender color was much more pronounced like the pictures on the website. I would definitely purchase from them again without hesitation.
I ordered 12,000 fresh yellow rose petals and they were beautiful. They arrived the morning I requested and were easy to store until the wedding. The cost was good relative to other sites I found. Although, it's difficult to compare when they sell by the thousands and other websites sell by the cup. Free shipping, too! I had petals in the aisle from where the chairs began in the back to where they ended up front. It was outside and the petals were distributed about 3.5 feet wide and about 25 feet long. It came out quite lush and thick with not much grass showing, which is the way I wanted it. They have a great color variety. Much better than some other sites I checked.
This is a great website for the "do it yourself" bride or someone who needs flowers in bulk. I definitely had a florist, but I ordered rose petals from fifty flowers for the aisle and tossing as we left. It worked out GREAT! Florists will usually charge a lot more for petals - but if you have a place to refrigerate them, its worth it to order from this website! You will definitely save money!
Beautiful flowers at a reasonable price. Flower care directions were clear and correct.
The website was extremely helpful and fun. I was able to find exactly what flowers I wanted for my bouquet, for the bridesmaids, and decor. They had so many colors, I was able to find exactly what I wanted.
The flowers I ordered online and they all came on the date that I ordered them. Originally I had ordered the flowers for the day before the wedding, but someone called from fifty flowers to suggest that we have them arrive on that Thursday instead, so the flowers can bloom. It was so nice to get a personal phone call. I feel like nobody does that anymore. All the flowers arrived in beautiful condition and were beautiful. The directions were easy to follow to take care of the flowers until the big day. Then putting your creativity into it was a lot of fun.
The flowers were very fresh and arrived when they said they would. I will definately use them in the future. I am a designer so freshness and promptness in a wedding is crucial
I ordered 12,000 hot pink fresh rose petals for my client in August 2008. Before doing so I called this company 2 times to verify exactly what color the roses were by getting the names of the roses they use. They told me they could not guarantee any specific rose would be delivered to me but that it would be one of the 5 varieties listed. I check and all 5 would have been fine. However, they sent me literally all 5 rose petals combined together. It was a mess. Luckily my clients did not mind. I did. I do not think have 5 obviously different rose petals (some with yellow on the bottom, some with white, and some all pink) mixed together is a good idea. I would not have minded as much if these were to be used on the floor but they were an interal part of the table decoration.
Additionally, the company hardly had anyone that spoke understandable English on the phone every time I called which was aggravating and time consuming. And the flowers had to be signed for (which was not made clear anywhere during ordering or otherwise) so I had to drive across the metro area to go and retrieve them right away as they needed to be air conditioned.
I do not recommend this company unless you have 1) a lot of time to waste 2) are not detail oriented or care if your flowers will match.
I do recommend them for 1) their inexpensive price or 2) rose petals that will be placed on the ground.

FiftyFlowers has created policies to be followed not to burden our customers, but rather to ensure customer satisfaction. Our policies are clearly stated on our website and we encourage both potential and current customers to read all product information posted online and to contact us if they have any questions. It may seem sometimes that our policies are unreasonable, but it is actually quite the contrary. Flowers are perishable products that naturally die over time. For this reason, our team has to act fast when a problem arises, not only because we understand the flowers are being used for important events such as weddings, but also because we want to assist our customers with solutions to the best of our abilities. Also, our business is conducted over the internet, which makes it difficult for us to examine the problem/flowers first hand. Pictures are used to identify the problem and to provide the best solution available. In addition, our website also states that a signature is required upon delivery. FedEx, our courier company, requires a signature since they are working with perishable products, and leaving a box unattended can put our flower’s quality at risk.
FiftyFlowers cares about our customers. We strive to provide high quality products and excellent customer service. We appreciate our customers’ feedback because we understand that well founded criticism is an important part of providing such quality and service. We also want to let our customers know that we work hard for their business and that we are here to assist you, to offer personalized service, and to answer any questions you may have prior to and after placing an order with us.
Horrible Customer Service and Product Never Delivered
First of all - they sent only a partial order two days prior to my wedding. I called and they said it was lost in the mail which was untrue because I called Fedex and they said they never received the order. Called them back and they said they would overnight me some flowers. So the next day before my wedding.. I waited and waited... it turns out that the flowers were sent to the wrong state! They put the wrong shipping address on the boxes. OMG they had made two mistakes. I called them back crying and they said nothing! They wouldn't even compensate me for the stress. I had to run to the four different stores and do my flowers at my own rehearsal dinner! And trust me the whole time their tracking dept was extremely rude and would not call me back when they said they would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Fiftyflowers.com gladly assisted this customer with her order.
As our customer mentioned, due to a situation beyond our control, we were aware to deliver part of this customer’s order. However, a reshipment approved by our customer was promptly arranged for her, for which delivery would take place the following day. This new shipment failed to reach our customer. Fiftyflowers issued a full refund for the missing flowers and apologized for the inconvenience. The money was refunded in a timely manner as promised. Fiftyflowers.com accepted the responsibility for this mistake and assisted the customer as soon as were aware of the issue.

In every contact I had with fiftyflowers, I stressed that my bride wanted a truly white rose. They offer two categories: white and ivory. I asked them for their whitest rose and initially, on their recommendation, ordered Jeanne Moreau. One week before shipping, they notified me of a crop failure, so again, I asked repeatedly for their whitest rose. I was given a choice between Eskimo and Anastasia....the farm assured them both were true white. I chose Anastasia.
When the flowers arrived, Anastasia was yellow. An absolutely gorgeous rose, but far from white. I called fiftyflowers and was reassured that they would get whiter as they opened. I removed all the guard panels and let them open fully. They never got anywhere near white. They were true ivory and I had to discard all the white ribbon I planned to use. The contrast flower, a purple and white lisanthus had to be used very sparingly, as the contrast between the white and ivory was too glaring. The bride was very disappointed.
When I contacted them and sent pictures, there response was, even though they boast on their website of "climate controlled conditions" that weather had changed the color. I was offered 10% off my next order. There will be no next order, despite the fact that I have been asked to do flowers for friends in the future.

FiftyFlowers.com provides customers with beautiful, natural products which greatly depend on Mother Nature. As our customer mentions, she received Anastasia roses, which are white roses. Due to weather, however, these flowers showed a slight variation in the tone. As a company, we understand that colors are important for brides, and we apologized for the fact that our customer was not satisfied with the tone of the roses received. Unfortunately, our customer contacted us the day of the event to inform us about the issue, when many of the options we could have offered were limited.
We want to let our customers know that we work hard for their business and that we are available to answer any questions in regards to our products, their colors and other important information. Also, all of needed information in regards to our products is posted on our website.
Ordered 100 "Purple" tulips, flowers were gorgeous and arrived on specified date, but clearly were very very pink, with some orange ones mixed in as well, these were not even close to any shade of purple (until they eventually died!) Sent a picture to the company, who did not make it right, so.....would have to say, be very careful what you order, it turned out a big disappointment for us.

FiftyFlowers.com provides customers with beautiful, natural products that are affected by Mother Nature. Although our pictures depict our flowers as accurately as possible, we discourage exact matching to our website because several factors, such as weather or monitor resolutions, can affect the colors you see online. However, the main color will not be affected, is only the tone that could vary.
Our customer received the purple tulips she ordered, but there was a slight variation in the tone. I would just like to say how much my mother and I enjoyed the flowers!!! They were soo fresh and vibrant and the smell was breathtaking. You would have never guessed they came from the internet. They held up in 107 degree heat for the whole ceremony, and hydrageas are very delicate in heat but they were BEAUTIFUL! I had soo many left even after 7 bridesmaids, 1 mini-bride, my boquet (6 stems), and the CAKE! The star of bethlehem were so well put together and worth every penny and then some. I have been spreading the word about fifty-flowers. Don't be discouraged to do it yourself, the flowers fall into the right place and the customer service ladies will answer any questions you have. I saved over $1000 by doing the arrangements myself!!
was looking for a blue flower that was unique for my wedding, and found the dendrobium purple orchids that were colored dyed blue and teal (which happened to be my wedding colors). I thought they were so beautiful, but was skeptical to order online. I decided to take my chances and was soooo happy that I did, they were absolutely breathtaking, they didn't even look real! The costumer service was great, one hour after I received my flowers, I got a phone call from Fifty Flowers ensuring that my order was correct and asked if I was satisfied with my purchase. Everyone at the wedding commented on how breathtaking the flowers were. I would definitely recommend using 50 Flowers, the flower quality was amazing.
I just wanted to express my gratitude for your fabulous customer service and product! We had roses, sunflowers and filler delivered 2 days before our wedding and a friend put together the bouquets, corsages, table decorations, and cake decorations from our delivery. It was all AMAZING! Everything was so gorgeous. I could not have been happier with your follow-up calls, the shipping information, the informative and helpful e-mails before I placed my order, etc. I have been telling everyone about your fabulous customer service, reasonable prices, and dependability. I have 3 friends getting married in the next year and I'm begging them to use fiftyflowers.com!
I ordered orchids through FiftyFlowers.com for arrival on Wednesday, May 6 before my Saturday, May 9th wedding. The orchids arrived in beautiful condition. We used them to decorate our reception hall, cake and for all of the bouquets and boutonnieres. We had dozens left after the ceremony and brought them home to enjoy. I finally threw away the last of my orchids on Monday, July 7th- OVER EIGHT WEEKS AFTER DELIVERY!!! I had no idea I'd enjoy them that long. All I did was clip the dead/spent blooms and periodically recut the stims and changed the water. I will not hesitate to use FiftyFlowers any time I need fresh flowers for whatever occassion!
Thank you FiftyFlowers.com for making my DIY centerpieces gorgeous. I contacted FiftyFlowers the week of my wedding, after another wholesaler informed me that they could no longer fill my order. The customer service staff was wonderful, calling growers and helping me choose flowers that would look beautiful, match my color scheme and arrive in time. After consulting with the representative, we choose 100 Hot Pink Carnations. The carnations arrived in wonderful condition-even after travelling from California to Massachusetts and even became more beautiful as they drank water and began to open. We used the brilliant carnations submerged in water for our centerpieces and then used the extra blooms around our cake and on the serving platters. Everyone commented at how gorgeous the blooms were and on the brightness of their color. Fiftyflowers.com saved my centerpieces by assisting me on such short notice. I highly recommend them to anyone. Helpful, friendly, and a beautiful product!
I would like to thank the fiftyflowers.com company for providing me beautiful and affordable flowers for my wedding! I was amazed at how well they turned out! I ordered 120 Gerberas (the Christmas combo) and they were perfect! The colors were so bright, and the blooms were huge! I tracked my package using the FedEx website and they said they would arrive at my house by noon. At 11:55 the FedEx guy was knocking on my door! Fiftyflowers.com called me at 2:00 to verify I had received them! I followed all of their instructions and everything turned out wonderful! I can't thank you enough for helping to make my wedding day as beautiful as I had imagined!
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone from your team who I spoke with last week regarding our flower order. The entire team was wonderful, helped to alleviate my concerns, answered my questions, and gave the advice I needed. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you again for all of your time and fantastic customer support. I have already placed my next order with you and will use Fiftyflowers again and again for weddings in the future.
This is the second time I have used fiftyflowers.com. The first was for my own wedding in October of 2008 and now for a friends wedding. I got the sun set callas removed the stamens and replaced them with crystals. I also used a beautiful mix of orange, yellow and cream colored roses and studded the bouquet with additional crystals. It turned out fabulous. The quality of the callas from fiftyflow
I was very hesitant to order flowers for my wedding online… What would we do if they didn't arrive? Came late? Came damaged? ? ? I was MORE than satisfied with my FiftyFlowers.com experience. Just as they estimated online at the time of my order--flower orders typically deliver by 10:30am--they arrived just before 10:30am in excellent condition. Then, just minutes later, I received a phone call from a representative checking to make sure my order arrived and that I understood how to properly care for my flowers. The customer service was exceptional. I have since referred several friends and family to FiftyFlowers.com, all of whom have had great experiences as well. For my wedding, we ordered 12,000 hot pink rose petals for the isle… and 200 hot pink roses for extra decorating. Feel at ease ordering from FiftyFlowers.com. Great customer service! Beautiful flowers! Great prices! I would order again in a heartbeat.
Like most, I was hesitant to order flowers online; but I knew the only way I could have the wedding of my dreams (a wedding bursting with flowers) was to order online and not through an overpriced florist. I am so glad that I took the leap and ordered through Fifty Flowers. For my August wedding I ordered 338 garden and peony roses in all shades of pink and lavendar, 150 carnations, and 6,000 flower petals. Just as promised, FedEx was at my door a little before 10:30 with my flowers. My only regret is hiring a florist to do my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquet, and arbor arrangement! (I didn't have enough trust in myself to do these), it was a big mistake as the one snafu in my wedding day was that the florist screwed up all of our bouquets (I asked for an all pink garden rose bouquet and ended up with 2 pink garden roses and the rest purple, white, yellow, and orange regular roses!) Order from Fifty Flowers, where you will get the biggest bang for your buck! I wish I was getting married again just so I could order my flowers!!!!
The selection is excellent, and the flowers are top quality. I ordered statice, ranunculus, hypericum berries, and psittorum. The pre-wedding care was super easy- I just stuck them in a vase with water and the provided flower food. I love that you can shop by color of flower. The day after I ordered my flowers, someone called me to confirm my order and to explain how to care for the flowers. I would definitely reccomend fifty flowers if you are making your own centerpieces.
