Film Cars

Peter was BY FAR the most excited vendor for my wedding. We hired the 1969 taxi cab. When I first inquired about the availability, all the taxis were scheduled to be at a show that weekend. Peter kept his personal taxi home and personally chauffeured us that day. He had cold water, mints, and a straw (so I didn't ruin my lipstick) waiting for us. He's amazing, the cab was amazing, and he/it absolutely made my wedding extremely special.

Peter and his vintage NYC taxicab were an important part of our wedding day. Peter met us outside our apartment building for our "first look" photos. We have lots of gorgeous photos of us posing near/in the cab, whose shiny, perfect condition and bright yellow/black coloring added a dose of sparkle to our day. Peter also drove us to the venue, and we got lots of cheers/clapping from passerbys on the street as our chariot drove us through downtown Manhattan. Peter also suggested that we write "Just Married" on the back of the window, which also yielded some terrific photo ops. Filmcars gave us a little piece of NYC magic on our wedding day and we're very grateful! Peter is a wonderful guy and a pleasure to work with.

Peter is really a joy to work with. We planned our wedding all the way from Norway, but that was never a problem for him. He showed up with the checker cab on time, and we had an hour of photography with the cab - just perfect for our wedding day! Communication via email was great, and he always responed to us in due time... :)

Peter is one of the kindest people I've ever come across. We rented the vintage checker cab for 2 hours to take pictures in front of the Yale Club (you can no longer use the car for transportation purposes). He was so, so, so easy to deal with while planning and the checker cab is the perfect backdrop for NYC pictures. He was EARLY and the car was spectacular (and spotless!). When we found out we couldn?t use the checker cab to drive around the city - he immediately helped us find a limo company that could. Great guy, really cool cars!

Peter was an absolute dream to work with from beginning to end. We sorted out all of the details prior to the day of via e-mail which included timing, music for the ride & decorations for the cab. He was there on time and even had good suggestions for where in the city (specific streets) we should take pics on in the West Village (we wanted a cobble stone – old world NY feel). He also picked us up at the end of the night and had “Just Married” on the back window of the cab as we had requested. It really looked perfect! If what you’re looking for is a vintage checker cab or any other vintage car they have – definitely give Peter a call.

We booked the checkered cab and we could not have been more pleased. Plenty of room, great driver and immaculate. They were on time and reasonably priced. Peter, the guy we booked with, was very communicative and just a great person to speak to. No worries!!!

The entire Film Cars family is a pleasure to deal with. Peter writes like a poet, cares from the very beginning, and goes above and beyond every expectation. He consistently has a smile from ear to ear, is courteous and is a TRUE gentleman. I wish I could put his energy and kindness in a bottle and spread the wealth.
