Firethorne Country Club

I can not say enough good things about Pam and her staff at Firethorne. This was the 5th and last venue we visted while trying to decide where to get married. On our way out, we both said this was it, even though we had more appointments for other venues. We came back two more times with our familys and Pam did tours for them and answered any questions they had.

I not only had my wedding ceremony and reception at Firethorne, but they also did my bridal shower, and rehearsal dinner. The food was amazing each time and the service was excellent. Pam remembered things that I liked and made sure to have them ready for each special occasion. We dropped off all the wedding day decorations before the rehearsal and Pam ran the show from there. She is amazing and makes the whole experience seamless.

As soon as I walked into Firethorne Country Club, I knew this was the place where I was going to get married. It has the most warming feeling with the dark, hardwood rafters and a statement, stone fireplace. They have an absolute gorgeous stone staircase leading down to the outside gazebo, where any bride would feel incredible walking into her wedding ceremony.

The staff was very friendly, which I didn’t realize how important that was until I recently went to another a country club wedding and they weren’t friendly at all. They worked with me on every detail such as picking out the food, drinks, cake stands, and lots of décor they had available for me to use such as table cloths and centerpieces.

This Country Club really stands out from the others because it has a warm and cozy feel, but still maintains its modern feel. I loved this place for our ceremony and reception and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful place to get married.

Firethorne was a great venue to have a wedding. It has great views for pictures, nice interior, and the staff was very accomodating. Barbara Nifong went above and beyond, she made everything run so smooth and made sure everything was done before everyone arrived. We had tons of compliments on the food. Overall we were very happy we chose this venue.

We did some intense research on wedding reception venues in and around Charlotte. Firethorne was the clear winner in terms of 'best value'. The venue itself stands alone in terms of pure beauty being set on a nice golf course with incredible brick/stone exterior. The food was well above average and we are still getting compliments (3 weeks after the wedding) about how great the food was. The best thing was the price that was paid was reasonable, compared to every other venue. Lastly, Barbara Nifong, the wedding coordinator, went above and beyond the call of duty in every regard - from planning, to decorations, to lending us a golf cart to exit the wedding (with a "just married" sign), she put her heart into ensuring our wedding was fabulous. Many people have told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to and we have Barbara to thank for this. We would highly recommend Firethorne to anyone considering their wedding there. You will not be dissappointed.

Great venue for our outdoor wedding. The wedding planner was great and very helpful/on top of things. I would recommend this place to have your wedding. We had the ceremony outside and the reception right up the stairs inside. The reception area is great and their food was excellent!!

Barbara worked with us on all the details and was accommodating to our needs. We were happy with the food, atmosphere, and bar selections. Everyone was very friendly and took care of everything on our big day so we didn't have to stress or worry about the details. I would recommend this venue!

I exhausted plenty of reception sites in the Charlotte area, before I finally found Firethorne Country Club in Marvin. At first I thought it would be to far of a drive but the location is absolutely beautitul and I was thrilled to find it was only minutes from our church. Barbara, the wedding coordinator, was fantastic, from the moment I spoke to her on the phone I felt as though she and I had been friends forever. She was wonderful, answering all my questions and sitting down with us on several ocassions to discuss plans and ideas. The location, the building, the service, the people, the food were fantastic. Several of my guests have mentioned to me that they have never been to a more perfect wedding than ours. They loved the facility and they keep raving about our food! I can not recommend this place enough, it was wonderful!!!!

A beautiful venue and a helpful staff. We enjoy performing a Firethorne Country Club. The room is perfect for our acoustic instruments. A great place to get married!
