First City Events

We booked First City Events for our day-of planning and our DJ, and we did not regret it. DJ Tyson was our DJ for the event. He always chose the right song for the right occasion whether it was background music for dinner or full-blown music for dancing. We received compliments on how great our DJ was. He also did a great job on our introductions and announcements.

Bonnie was our coordinator for planning leading up to the wedding and Brittany, Blake, and Becca were our day-of people. Throughout the time before the wedding, Bonnie would touch base with us and provide us with vendor lists. A couple months before the wedding, she put together the timeline of the ceremony and reception, along with coordinated with all our vendors we booked. This was a Godsend; it helped raise questions I didn't even think to ask when coming down to the details of the ceremony. Then for the day-of, Bonnie assigned Brittany, Blake, and Becca as our point persons, and they all did a smashing job. They made the whole day run smoothly, made sure we had everything we needed, and delivered goods to different locations. They even returned our cupcake tower for us.

My husband and I are also located on the West Coast, so there was a time difference we had to work with...but for Bonnie, it was no problem. She always responded to our emails (our main form of correspondence due to the time difference) quickly, and was patient with all our questions. She's a very warm, approachable person which makes her perfect as a wedding coordinator. And did I mention she did ALL of this work while pregnant? She is simply amazing, and she along with the 3 B's made our day...

First City Events are bar none. I live and work in New York City and chose Savannah as a destination wedding. I work in the entertainment industry and had a very clear idea of what I did - and did not - want and was nervous about finding someone not only on the same page creatively, but who could also pull off my unique vision and demands. Bonnie Kaar and her staff far exceeded my expectations. I don't think that the word "no" is in their vocabulary. Our friends, family and colleagues are a hard bunch to impress and they were blown away by what we put together. It was very much a collaboration. I have FCE to thank for that a hundred times over!

I never really pictured myself using a wedding planner (i'm very type A and usually get everything done without any help) but hiring Bonnie and her excellent staff at First City Events (at the recommendation of a friend) was THE BEST DECISION I made in planning for planning my wedding! They were always available to work around my difficult schedule, made planning from out of town bearable and the best thing was that I told her my budget, how i wanted it to look and EVERY vendor she suggested (and scheduled to meet for me) was PERFECT. The wedding came out exactly as we had hoped and our family and friends are STILL talking about how great it was! We also hired their DJ services and were, of course, very pleased! Jeff was fun, got our crowd involved and fed off of their energy, really noticed what got people on the dance floor and kept the mood fun!

Bonnie and her team at First City Events did an outstanding job with our wedding. They were worth every penny we spent and more. Bonnie and her staff were nothing short of spectacular from every point.

We purchased the the Peaceful Day and DJ package from First City Events, which was Bonnie and her team available the day of our wedding, and her guidance leading up to the wedding. The staff at First City Events were available to us at every turn and handled the entire day spectacularly. Bonnie gave us her input to every question we had in regards to vendor suggestions or advice on how we should handle all situations. We are not originally from Savannah, but decided to get married there. With Bonnie's help we planned our wedding from NY, for the big day in Savannah.

She saved the day, when last minute the day before our wedding the officient we hired to conduct our ceremony was not able to fly in to Savannah from Boston. Bonnie was able to find a Reverend that fit our needs within 24 hours and was available at every phone call through out the entire situation.

First City Events made the most important day of our lives, thus far, the happiest for us. We both felt completely at ease knowing they were there and they handled every moment perfectly.

Jeff Kaar from First City Events was out of this world! He was incredibly friendly, professional and accommodating during the entire event. We were looking for someone who could keep the whole party on the dance floor and that he did! Jeff paid attention to what music kept people dancing and out on the floor. He had just the right amount of oldies along with current hits. As a bride, I wanted our guests to have the time of their lives and Jeff was able to make that happen. I would highly recommend him and First City Events for any and all DJ needs. He is amazing at his job. Thank you Jeff!

The best wedding planning decision I made was to have Bonnie and her terrific First City Events team help plan my wedding! Bonnie was able to understand my wedding vision and offered suggestions to take it to the next level, all the while remaining cost-conscious and keeping me within my budget. She knows the various wedding & event planning vendors throughout the Savannah area and she used these contacts to help ensure that my special requests (caricature artist, wedding favor T-shirts, etc) became reality.

Bonnie was quick to respond to all my phone calls and emails – she makes you feel as if you are her only client and event that her team is working on! She was willing to help with any and all aspects of my wedding – she even helped me stuff all the wedding invites and mailed them for me! On the day of my wedding, I was able to relax (as much as any bride can possibly relax on her wedding day!) because I knew that Bonnie and her team were taking care of every last detail.

We also used DJ IXtwelve from First City Events to DJ our wedding. He used my husband’s and my input and read our diverse crowd to keep everyone on the dance floor well into the night!

Our wedding day went off without one single hitch and I owe it all to First City Events! I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a special event!

Great to work with, especially because we were out of town. I only wish I could have worked more with the girls who were at my wedding the day of, because they were not as understanding of the timeline as Bonnie was!

I grew up in Savannah, and live in Virginia now, so planning our wedding via email and phone was a must. The First City Events team is professionally sound, punctual with responses, and clarified any questions we had. We used DJ Jeff for our wedding ceremony and reception music in July 2012. I was very pleased with Jeff's performance. We corresponded only twice before the wedding. I appreciated his attention to detail, knowledge of music, and resources. Music really sets the tone for any function, finding a DJ who can create what you want is a word of mouth recommendation. Jeff exceeded my expectations! Showing up looking super fly, he set the mood for our wedding, by having immaculate timing for the procession, providing speakers and microphones so everyone could enjoy the outdoor ceremony, transitioning smoothly into the tent, and continuing the ambiance of simple elegance. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and the reception was rocking! I gave him an impromptu "kill the music" during the first dance because my husband had recently sprained his ankle, and couldn't dance for the whole song. I totally forgot to tell Jeff, prior to the wedding. He was cool with it and let it easily fade out. I appreciated him being flexible. ;) His playlist kept the dance floor going for hours; we discussed different genres to transition throughout the evening. We all had a blast because of his energy. He also stuck to our "do not play list" which a cousin came up to me and said, "what do you mean Honky Tonk Badakadonk is not on the “playlist"....need I say more. I was pleased he held his ground, and made sufficient selections. I thank you for your service and would highly recommend DJ Jeff to anyone who needs great music for a wedding ceremony, reception, or party!

Our DJ, Dennis, from First City was awesome! We met with him a few days before the wedding to discuss the types of music we wanted and didn't want, and he was very helpful! He even followed up to make sure he got a request list from us, and he made sure he knew who to introduce at our entrance time, and how to pronounce their names. He played a great variety of music, and we had a lot of compliments from friends and family, as well as a FULL dance floor, with younger AND older guests participating! Dennis even reminded us about doing the bouquet toss, which we almost forgot about! He didn't talk too much, he knew just how to get the guests involved and out of their seats - it wasn't too much, he had it just right! Bonnie, who we worked out our contract with, was also super friendly and helpful!

Working with Bonnie for our wedding planning was great! She handled all of the details for the day of our wedding and we couldn't have been happier. Everything went smoothly with all of our vendors, all of the events throughout the day, and even getting everything we needed back to us at the end of the night. When we forgot things, Bonnie was quick to offer to go across town to get them and never missed a beat. I would highly recommend her and First City Events to anyone getting married in the area.

We hired First City Events (Specifically Jeff) to DJ our wedding reception. Jeff was professional and played mostly what was asked but we're not super thrilled with a few things.
- We did not want a entrance song. We felt that it didn't fit us as a couple and we didn't want it to be cheesy so we asked for just a background beat and an MC intro. What we got was probably the song that I would answer if you asked what my least favorite entrance song would be. He played "Tonight's gonna be a good night" by Black Eyed Peas which I hate!
- He barely said a word! He did not really MC anything, he did not make much attempt to get anyone on the dance floor and he didn't even pump up the crowd for the bouquet toss.
- Email responsiveness was sometimes slow. I had to ask twice for a final invoice.
Overall, it was a DJ and he played music for dinner and the reception and it was ok but we were not impressed. We payed an extra $100 to get Jeff and I don't feel we got any additional value out of this. A few of our family members complained to us at the end of the night that he was boring.
So if you want someone professional and not cheesy to DJ your event, this would be a good choice but if you really want a lively party, I'd probably look at some other options.

First City Events did a great job with the music for my wedding!! Great blend of all styles, just as I requested! Professional appearance and set up!! Emcee announcements were smooth... and nothing was cheesy!!! I highly recommend this vendor!

If you are lucky enough to book Bonnie to get you through you special day, jump on the chance!! I chose the peaceful day package...and it truly was a peaceful day! I did not have to worry about a thing! From setting up to cleaning up, to making sure we ate some of our delicious food to getting us tucked safely in the limo, she completely took care of everything! Thanks Bonnie!!

Also big shoutout to DJ IXtwelve who kept everyone dancing all night long! You completely nailed our group and each song made everyone excited. My new husband is very hard to please when it comes to music...and he was thrilled!

We completely lucked out by finding DJ Jeff and Bonnie from First City Events! We planned our Savannah, GA wedding from California and only had online reviews to rely on. DJ Jeff totally MADE our wedding! We aren’t big dancers so told Jeff we wanted more of a “cocktail atmosphere”. We provided him with a short list of artists we liked and told him to take it from there. Not once did we hear a song we didn’t like AND he got all the guests on the dance floor – including US!!! He made our wedding into a real party and we all had a spectacular time because of him. Book DJ Jeff immediately – you won’t be disappointed!

And while you’re booking DJ Jeff, book Bonnie as your coordinator! In the middle of our wedding planning, it got a bit nuts (as weddings do!) and I emailed Bonnie to see if she could join us for a vendor meeting that we were flying into town for – in two days! She responded very fast and said of course. The meeting went great and we booked her as a “Day of Coordinator”. Boy is she more than “Day of”! Bonnie went above and beyond to help out with anything possible – I ended up contacting her for help finding local vendors, restaurant suggestions, salons, etc. Starting about 3 weeks before the wedding she took all my vendors’ info and became the main contact – huge weight off my shoulders and saved me hours! At our rehearsal I am certain I threw 25 new things at her that I wanted and at our wedding reception everything was exactly as I had asked! Also important - she kept the evening right on schedule. Because of her, our wedding went absolutely perfectly and I had nothing to stress about! It was all about my new husband and I celebrating with our friends. I encourage ALL brides to hire Bonnie (and Jeff!) so you can have a stress-free, perfect wedding!

First City Events came highly recommended by our reception venue and since we were planning our Savannah wedding from South Florida, we relied heavily on this recommendation. To say that our DJ Tyson did not disappoint would be a major understatement. He somehow was able to understand the exact feel we wanted for each stage of the wedding, even though we had a difficult time articulating it. The music was perfect and DJ Tyson was incredible. He interacted with us and our guests in a way that was so fun and was not the least bit annoying or overbearing (like I have seen DJs do before!). He danced and got everyone moving and even stayed longer than we had arranged. All our guests kept asking how on earth we were able to find such an awesome DJ in a city where we don't even live! Our ceremony music was incredibly important to me and I am so thankful that he was able to execute our vision and contribute to our wonderful memories of our wedding.

Jeff is an awesome DJ! He played everything we requested and more. He made the party.

First of all, I'm the groom. My (then) fiance put me in charge of finding a DJ. We had gone to Savannah to check out our venues (Whitefield Chapel for the ceremony, Vic's on the River for the reception) and Jeff Kaar happened to be in there setting up. Just on a whim I asked him if he had a card as I hadn't picked out a DJ yet. I checked out a few other DJs from our area (we live in Atlanta) but none of the services seemed to be 1) as friendly or helpful as Bonnie and Jeff were, or 2) as affordable. We talked via email/phone a couple of times and they were more than willing to answer any/all questions we had and to make us feel like our reception entertainment was more than taken care of. When we got to the reception, Jeff immediately gave us his full attention while figuring out how to do the announcements of bride/groom and wedding party and all the dances and stuff. I even had planned to play/sing a song for my wife and Jeff was completely flexible and it went off without a hitch. I hadn't really given them too much detailed instruction on the playlist, but the stuff Jeff picked out was perfect. He had upbeat/contemporary jazz for time when everyone was eating and then when he asked me if I wanted him to get the party started I just said, "Let's go," and he took it from there. He very quickly had almost everyone on the dance floor...which is exactly what we wanted. He was also constantly mindful of how the guests and I were reacting to the music and would frequently check with me via eye-contact to make sure that everything was good. I really appreciated that and all his attention to the mood of the room. He was perfectly fine with people making requests and everyone told us afterward how much they enjoyed it and how great they thought the DJ was. Overall, First City Events helped make our wedding day perfect.

Where do I even begin! On February 4th I married my best friend in the most perfect Venue and the most perfect atmosphere and none of this would have happened without the help of Bonnie and her fabulous team (Adrian and friends). The first time I met with Bonnie I knew I had made the right decision. I simply showed her a picture of what I wanted my wedding to "feel" and look like and she went above and beyond to do everything that I never even knew I wanted! Bonnie referred a fabulous caterer and everything about our wedding was so Us. Any questions I had and concerns I had Bonnie answered and made me feel at ease. Weeks before the wedding EVERYONE was asking if I was nervous or stressed and every time I answered No because I knew my wedding was in the hands of THE BEST event planners in the Savannah area.
I have to give a special THANK YOU to Adrian. She stepped in and really was fabulous! My family and friends cannot stop talking about how great everyone was. Finding and using Bonnie and the First City Event team was the best decision I made in regards to preparing for my wedding. I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding day the most beautiful, easiest day ever!

We just got married on Nov 4 2011 and we loved First City Events, Bonnie is absolutely wonderful and everyone else we worked with gave her rave reviews which I totally understand now. She was so helpful before the wedding and during the day of the wedding she ran it and covered everything! I was completely stress free and it went perfect including the reception! I could not have asked for anything more they are wonderful. Thank you so much to you and your staff, and the DJ was perfect as well. He was fun and energetic and kept the party going.

Jeff is wonderful as a DJ. He is not obtrusive and spins the tunes with class and elan!

We purchased the Serenity package (full wedding coordination), DJ and party favor package. Bonnie was absolutely amazing. Before I had even hired her, she did a phone consultation with me to determine if the type of wedding I had in mind was possible for my desired budget. Bonnie and I corresponded over my 8 month engagement entirely over email and phone. She was always accessible, extremely helpful in making decisions, recommending vendors and kept track of absolutely everything. She stayed on top of every aspect of planning my wedding, even reminding me to break in my shoes. Prior to arriving in Savannah, I did not think I could be any happier with Bonnie and her team. We got married on a Friday and arrived on Wednesday where I finally met Bonnie, my photographer and visited my reception venue. After actually meeting Bonnie and her assisting me on the days up to the wedding/wedding day, I can't even explain how great she was. She exceeded my expectations throughout the entire process. She came and visited with me at the salon while I was doing a trial run and kept in constant contact with me regarding her schedule and whereabouts. On the wedding day, when Bonnie was not with me, her assistant Britney was. They were both so helpful and on top of everything. During the wedding reception, they kept everything on schedule and Bonnie even helped keep my 2 yr old nephew happy. Bonnie delivered everything to our hotel that we had brought for the reception for us to pick up on our way out of town Saturday morning. My family and I are so thankful for Bonnie. She made my wedding day absolutely perfect and if anything went wrong, I think she would have fixed it before I ever even knew.

DJ Jeff was amazing as well. I have been to a lot of weddings where the DJ plays terrible music and it puts a damper on the evening. Jeff followed my requests where I had them and everything else he played was great. Our guests danced a ton and I received a lot of comments about how great the dinner/cocktail music he played was as well. I even asked for a list of his playlist because he played so many great songs. It was such a fun night and Jeff definitely helped make that happen. The party favors he handed out (hats, beads etc) were really fun too and made for some great pictures.

I wish I had another party to plan in Savannah so I could work with these two again. They were fantastic.

Bonnie at First City Events was AMAZING for the entire day of our wedding. My cell phone was dead all day, but I didn't worry about a thing because I knew she had it well in hand. I relaxed and had the the best day of my entire life! Many of our guests have told me over and over how smoothly the whole day went and how impressed they were. I highly recommend Bonnie and First City Events for any of your event planning and coordinating needs. Couldn't have been happier. :)

Jeff was amazing! He was such a great DJ. He was able to talk with my husband and totally understand the vibe we were going for. My husband was constantly impressed by the selection of music that Jeff played. And all the wedding guests loved the music and we had a packed dance floor. Jeff was also AWESOME enough to give us a copy of all the music he played at the wedding. I highly recommend using Jeff and First City Events!

We were extremely pleased with Bonnie Kaar and DJ Jeff's service at my daughter's wedding last weekend. Bonnie was so calm and helpful and went above and beyond to make it a wonderful day for us all. I feel like it was the best spent money to have purchased the peaceful day package from First City Events. Bonnie and her staff made sure that everything ran smoothly from the rehearsal to the reception. She even ran out to get supplies to decorate the car since the groomsmen had forgotten! The reception was a huge success due to Bonnie and DJ Jeff! They made sure everyone was dancing and having a good time and all the events of the evening ran smoothly. They know how to run a great party. We all were extremely pleased with First City Events and recommend them highly to future brides!

About the only think that was disappointing about DJ Jeff and First City Events is that we both loved Jeff so much that we wish he could have been our guest AND our DJ :-). Jeff was referred to us by our awesome photographer Teresa at Memories N More because she told me that when her OWN daughter gets married, she wouldn't use anyone else. What better endorsement is that?? We decided to make a trip to Savannah to meet Jeff in person so we could all get a better idea of our personalities and music taste. My fiance and I had so much fun with Jeff that we didn't want him to leave the bar! He was so helpful and pointed out a ton of things that had totally slipped our minds during the planning process. He took our list of "do" and "don't" play very seriously (no Chicken Dance, even though I am pretty sure one of my friends might have requested it!! ha ha). At the wedding, he played the most unbelievable mix that I literally did NOT sit down the entire night. He did such a wonderful job of mixing up the music to accomodate everyone in the crowd and the pictures are proof that VERY few people were sitting down at our reception. He was awesome and you will not be disappointed (well, you might be sad that he can't get out on the dance floor with you!). Thanks Jeff for an awesome party -- we had such a wonderful time. Bonnie and Jeff what a Great Team!! Their DJ's are awesome. Easy to work with. Great at responding to e-mails and phone calls. My dad and I danced to a number of songs and Jeff put together a MP3 the same day I sent over the music I wanted!! Impressed. :) Very helpful! I also recommend getting their favor package for an extra $75... Our guest LOVED the favors!! Made for a great party! DJ's were fun and outgoing as well and knew how to keep a party going.

Bonnie and Victoria were great. They took the stress out of the day-of coordination and I really felt like I could sit back and enjoy everything and have fun instead of worrying about the details. They were easy to work with and really on top of things, making sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. DJ Jeff was great, he got everyone out on the dance floor, young and old, and played everything we requested ahead of time. Everyone was really helpful and nice and took the headache out of many wedding related tasks. All future brides need to know is to just hire First City Events to help plan your wedding and also to be the DJ. Bonnie, Jeff and their crew were fantastic. So easy to work with and even easier to get along with. By the time you get done they are like family.

I have possessed a tremendous fear of DJs over the years. Bad weddings, bad events that I managed (many..), and just horror stories that you hear from friends. I put off securing a DJ until it was almost too late. I cannot express how amazed I was with First City Events. DJ Jeff made my wedding. He really did. Bonnie at FCE was amazing to deal with - the service is top notch. She worked through all the initial details with me. You always arrive somewhat nervous as to what you may receive with a DJ - but I promise you that based on my experience you receive the best with them. I was so proud for Jeff to be our DJ - literally everyone was dancing. He created the vibe that I had dreamt of. I recommend First City and Jeff without reservation. You will not be disappointed.

Bonnie and her team made our wedding happen- we came to Savannah from Florida for our destination wedding and it was a dream! We simply could not have planned such a beautiful wedding without her; I highly recommend First City.

Bonnie at First City Events was amazing! I did most of the planning myself but needed someone to take the reins on the actual wedding day. She confirmed all of my vendors the week before, made sure that everything arrived and was in place on time, and made sure that everyone in the wedding party knew where to go and what to do. She also smoothed ruffled feathers of the church custodians. I can't imagine not having her there, she made the day feel so relaxed!

Bonnie Kaar at First City Events was a godsend to us. She took the pain and hassle out of wedding planning for us with great professionalism by listening to our desires and making them come true with great attention to details. We hired First City Events (DJ Jeff) for our wedding... and could not have been more pleased!! Jeff was great!! My husband and I have been to weddings in the past where the DJ was crude & obnoxious, and we didn't want that... Jeff was AWESOME! First City Events is amazing! I got the Peaceful Day package and did most of the planning myself. I needed someone the day of the wedding to execute all the details I had spent months planning. What I got was Victoria and her assistant there all day - setting up, moving things along, feeding me when I felt dizzy from lack of food right before I walked down the aisle. They were emotional support on an exciting and busy day as well as the perfect crew to ensure that no detail was missed! DJ Jeff was fabulous - his booth was clean and modern. My guests LOVED him and thought he was the best DJ they had ever seen at a wedding. So all in all from the DJ to the day of coordination - there is not better event planning firm that First City in Georgia. I did TONS of research and I am so happy that I chose them!

It was so easy working with Bonnie at FCE. I chose the "Peaceful Day" package they offer and Bonnie was available for any questions I had along the way. On my wedding day, she was calm, available and incredibly helpful. Tyler, our FCE DJ, was great and my party was amazing. My wedding party just keeps telling me what an easy wedding this was to be a part of! Thanks again!

Jeff and Bonnie were great to work with, and Jeff played exactly what we wanted...there were no mystery songs that made people leave the dance floor. It was awesome!

Vic's on the River was our reception venue, and Vic's banquet coordinator recommended Jeff. Since we planned our wedding in Savannah long distance, it was reassuring to have a recommendation for a DJ, especially one that had a great relationship with the restaurant.

I worked with Bonnie on all of the paperwork and contracts. She was easy to work with, very responsive on e-mail, and we handled everything over e-mail, which made planning easier. I was also able to call her with any questions, which helped me plan and get a sense of what we needed to do to plan the evening with the DJ and provide them songs to play.

Jeff was our DJ, and music was really important to us. Jeff did an amazing job!! He played all of our songs, and mixed them in a great way. He timed music to repsond to the crowd, and was able to keep people dancing or encourage others to come.

Perhaps the greatest thing about Jeff was his open mindedness and patience, allowing my 10-year old nephew to stand behind the DJ table with him. My nephew felt so special up there with Jeff, and Jeff was great with him, allowing him to stay there while teaching him some of the equipment -- a bold move on Jeff's part. His laid back approach with my nephew made him feel great and really special. My nephew learned a lot, and it's something he'll always remember. Everyone appreciated Jeff's patience with him and letting him feel like the cool DJ apprentice.

Bonnie is excellent and easy to work with! Her organization, personality, and easy-going attitude was so calming to me and my family on our wedding day! My wedding would have been so stressful without her help with coordinating the day. She was totally worth it and I'm so grateful to have met her!

My husband and I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND First City Events - our wedding DJ and wedding coordinator. This team was the X factor that made my wedding one of my most favorite days of my life. Her personality has a calming factor that worked wonders for me on my day. Our DJ perfectly incorporated our playlist and knew how to time the party. He was extremely professional and flexible. We have said to each other multiple times that our wedding would not have been the perfect night it was without these guys.

Bonnie made my daughter's wedding planning experience extremely painless! She was always just a call away to answer questions, give and take suggestions and put our minds at ease. She was a tremendous asset in keeping us on track with our budget and ultimately achieving the wedding of my daughter's dreams. We had our wedding reception with MC Tyson and DJ IXtwelve and could not have had a better time! They were perfect. We had a mixture of younger and older adults and EVERYONE that was there loved the music. They kept the mood perfect during dinner and then got the party going BIG TIME after dinner. First City Events was a great fit for our wedding. We were planning a destination wedding in Savannah and live in Kentucky so the distance presented some difficulties in planning. We decided to go with First City Events and we couldn't be happier. Bonnie is amazing!! She helped so much and I felt like all I had to do was show up for the wedding and enjoy! We rented chairs which she helped facilitate and also rented a bamboo arch from them which turned out beautiful. They decorated the chairs on the beach and at the reception with white covers and blue sashes which were beautiful! We also used First City Events for the DJ and he was so much fun! It really was our dream wedding and we could not have pulled it off without Bonnie and First City Events!

First City Events is the BEST. I was planning the wedding myself .Then I ran into Bonnie with First City Events….it was then that I had a sigh of relief. They cover my Décor, DJ, and coordinated the day. My wedding day was flawless and everything was perfect. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the wedding ceremony and reception was. They said the DJ played the right songs and they had a great time. If you want your dream wedding- First City Events should be the first vendor you call.

Bonnie was so helpful! I bought the Peaceful day package, and let me just say...that is exactly what I got...a peaceful, fun wedding day, where bonnie and her staff took care of everything, and all we had to do was smile, have fun, and go where we needed to go next. I definately recommend ANY bride to use Bonnie on her wedding day. She is reasonably priced (I interviewed MANY planners), is very patient, goes the extra mile to help you feel relaxed and on track. She is very prompt at responding to any question you may have. I would, and have, recommended her and First City Events for brides to be!

My husband and I have been to lots of weddings together and we always get nervous with the DJ. They are almost always corny and steal the show with their announcements and chatter on the mic. Jeff was recommended to us by our photographer, Allison Reisz, and was none of those things! He was professional, played the music we requested, and it never had that uncomfortable wedding feeling that I always seem to feel at receptions. Bonnie also helped us out from the admin end and she was also great. We felt that their prices were very reasonable and we would highly recommend them!

OMG!! All I can say about Bonnie and Jeff, is FANTASTIC!! They both did a phenomial job and couldn't of ask for anything better. Bonnie was available every step of the way to assist us with any questions and her responsiveness was great!! Jeff, did a awesome job at the reception and really got our guest involved. Jeff was a great DJ, he played songs that I loved during dinner when I had never even suggested anything, he just had a great playlist. All of the songs we requested for the dance were fulfilled and the crowd loved him. Great value compared to others we contacted as well!

DJ Tyson with First City Events was wonderful! All my guests are still raving about how much fun they had at the wedding. He made sure he played music that everyone loved and he did a great job of getting all the guests involved! I couldn't have asked for a better DJ. I am very pleased and would recommend First City Events to anyone!

I cannot say enough good things about our planner Bonnie. We used her for my daughter Nina's wedding. She guided us without being pushy. Was available, whenever we needed her. Called us right back if we had to leave a message. I now consider her a friend.

I used First City Events for both the DJ services and the Wedding planning for the day of the wedding only. Both Jeff and Bonnie were awesome. They were very professional and extremely helpful. Bonnie, the wedding planner, made my wedding day stress and worry free. I was completely relaxed because I knew she had everything under control. She set up everything for the ceremony and reception and helped with the rehearsal and the logistics of everything. She even helped with my gifts at the end of the night. She is very sweet. Her husband, Jeff, is an awesome DJ. The crowd really got dancing and he even had favors (feather boas, sunglasses, leis, etc.). I would highly recommend both of them for your wedding in Savannah and surrounding areas.

Bonnie was phenomenal! I first made contact with First City Events when I was searching for a chair rental company. Bonnie met with me during my work lunch break and was punctual and prepared. She offered a variety of options and had the best prices. I shopped around, but no one could beat her pricing and I had developed a wonderful rapport with her. That’s when I decided I needed a day of coordinator. Now looking back, I wish I had booked her services from day one. Our minister bailed on us one week before the wedding and she had a list on hand to help calm my panicked frenzy. She also met with us during our final planning stages with the reception location. She also ran an efficient rehearsal and was able to wrangle together my crazy group of friends and family. The day of the ceremony she and her assistant, Adrian, were always on hand when I needed them. There wasn’t one request I had that they weren’t able to accommodate beyond my hopes and expectations. It was a stress free day and I can confidently say that without Bonnie, it wouldn’t have gone as flawlessly. I received compliments over and over again about how wonderful she did and how smoothly the day went. Thank you for making my day so special.

Bonnie was amazing. I was not convinced that we needed help but my mother-in-law insisted. I don't know how everything would have gotten done with out her. My day went by very smoothly and I know Bonnie is to thank for a lot of it. Highly recommended.

First City Events provided DJ sevice for us for about 4 hours during our wedding reception. The DJ, Tyson, was well dressed, very nice, approachable, and easy to understand on the microphone. The music that he played outside of our playlist was appropriate.

First City Events was easy to get a hold of, by phone and email. Their website gives a good description of what you get for your money. We give them an A+

It was a pleasure working with Bonnie and Jeff. They are quick to response to my messages and when we needed to meet with Jeff about the songs, he was very flexible to go wherever we needed him to.

The DJ was professional and courteous. I sent an e-mail to the company beforehand detailing the song list and was a little disappointed when the wrong song was played at the wrong time, but it turns out the DJ did not recieve a copy of my e-mail from his office so it wasn't his fault. He was very willing to accomodate requests and everyone at the recpetion had a great time.

The decorations were absolutely beautiful! I could not believe how amazed I was when I walked onto the beach. It was like a dream! The did such a beautiful job and it was exactly how I imagined it!
Also, the DJ was great! Everyone commented on how good he was ! He played everything we wanted and more!

Even though they played the Nat King Cole version of "Unforgettable" instead of the Nat and Natalie Cole version of the same song for my father-daughter dance, I will still recommend First City. Only because the DJ really brought the party. The colored lights and hats thrown to those on the dance floor was also a nice touch. Aside from the aforementioned faux pas, they played all of the songs I gave them on my play list.
