I had my Wedding and Reception at First Congregational Church almost 11 years ago. When I walked into the Sanctuary I was blown away from all the beautiful wood work in the pews. I love all the details that was put into the Sanctuary. It was love at first sight I knew at that moment I did not need to look any futher. I will be going back when my husband and I decide to renewal our vows. We loved the church so much on our 1st year anniversay we reserved a private room for dinner. What an experience that was when my I wore my gown the next year for our Anniversay Dinner.
I truly recommend First Congregational Church when looking for a venue. The staff was so helpful.
Beautiful historic church near Wayne State, We spent several months looking for a suitable ceremony site. After my wedding planner took us on a tour of 1st Congregational, I knew this was the place. The church was once one of the stops on the underground rail and has the look of an 18 century sanctuary, which really worked well with the look and feel of my wedding. The Staff was very gracious and a real pleasure to work with.
Everyone from the office staff to the gentleman who assisted me in arranging my decorations was friendly, attentive to details, and professional. My husband and I feel in love with this church immediately because we were blown away by its beauty and elegance. If you want to have your wedding at an immaculate site with a rich history then please, visit the First Congregational Church of Detroit!!!
