Hil was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding. She was very helpful in picking out flowers for the time of the year and I loved that when she gave us our quote she included levels of flowers/prices. She was very flexible and didn't mind the fact that I was doing my own handmade bouts and centerpieces. I highly recommend her because of her great value, caring personality and beautiful work!

I had to plan my wedding from afar, so I initially chose Hilary based on her close proximity to the wedding venue. With the very little decorative talents I have, I gave her my wedding colors and a few names of flowers I liked. Hilary ran with these ideas and provided the most beautiful arrangements I could imagine. With her own vision, she brought to life an old metal arch and a crumbling fountain. She was extremely flexible when at the very last minute the entire seating plan had to be changed, requiring more tables and much different centerpieces. I'm so glad I chose Fleurtations for my wedding day.

Hilary was great. We came to her (sort of last minute, when another vendor was unavailable) to find she was still available to do our flowers! She works out of her house so it keeps costs down. She was helpful to suggest flowers and additions to go with the flowers I knew I wanted. We also had a hard time with centerpieces because we were trying to keep costs down but she did a fantastic job and worked within our budget. Everyone (even men) made compliments about how beautiful they were!!

Hilary was great from the first time I met her. She was the first and only florist I met with. I brought her a picture of my bridesmaids dress color, told her our wedding date and told her flowers I don't like and the one's I do like. She was able to show me different flowers and helped me pick colors that would coordinate with my color scheme. She was very organized and responsive. I'd have a question and e-mail her and got a quick response. Everyone commented on how beautiful my flowers were. I actually didn't even have many flowers and went with a small bud vase on all our tables instead of huge centerpieces and the amount of compliments I got about them was amazing...she made a small center flower display pop. My bouquet of calla lilies was simple and elegant, just as I described I wanted. I would highly recommend Hilary as your florist, she was fabulous!

Hilary was EXCELLENT - all of the flowers for my wedding were absolutely beautiful! I was not sure exactly what I wanted, so when I met Hilary she showed me all different flowers and some pictures of bouquets; from there, I decided what I liked and what I didn't like and this was enough info for Hilary to design the most amazing bouquet and flower arrangements! I receieved so many complements on all of the flowers! Hilary is a joy to work with - very accomodating, wonderful personality, extremely caring. Thank you Hilary for being patient with me and adding the perfect touch to my special day!

Hilary at Fleurtations was absolutely delightful and wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She has a real talent for listening to what you want and making your wedding absolutely beautiful. Our centerpieces had lemon slices in the square glass vase and hydrangea (white and purple) throughout our ballroom. The bouquets for the bridesmaids and me were so pretty. The bout's for the men were elegant as well. Hilary will help you with ideas and take your ideas and make them beautiful and I highly recommend this vendor for any event, especially a wedding!

Hil and her team at Fleurtations were incredible! The value of the arrangements was amazing - Hil worked with me to keep my costs within my budget, but to still realize the vision I had for how I wanted my flowers to look. She also encouraged me to try some ideas I would not have considered otherwise, and the result was beautiful and unusual arrangements and bouquets. Hilary was so wonderful to work with! I ordered my flowers fairly late in the game, but she was full of suggestions and ideas for my autumn wedding. She met with me in person on late notice and was a pleasure to talk to.

Hilary with Fleurtations did all of the floral arrangements, bouquets, etc. for our August 7th wedding. She had to face many challenges, the biggest of which was that our wedding was outdoors. I had some very specific requests and provided some pictures for her to go from. I was very specific in that I wanted the focus to mainly be hot pink gerbera daisies for the bridesmaid bouquets and centerpieces, and ivory gerbera daisies (mixed with other flowers, especially hydrangea) for my bouquet and the ceremony pieces. She took my vision beyond my wildest expectations. Flowers are a nerve-wrecking part of being a bride; you get to taste the food, try on the dress, etc., but you don't get to "trial" the flowers before the big day. Not only did Hilary meet my expectations, but she exceeded them. She also provided calla lillies for my hair because she couldn't get gardenias....I was not happy at first, but...she proved me wrong. They looked amazing the whole night and I have no problem admitting...Hilary, you were totally right! She was a pleasure to work with and I recommend her without reservations to any future bride. Thank you, Hilary, for everything you did to make my day so very beautiful.

Hilary did the bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, ceremony arrangement, bouts and flowers for our wedding cake. All of the flowers were gorgeous and not only met but exceeded my expectations. Hilary was very professional during our consultation and offered some great suggestions. The flowers arrived on time and were exactly what I wanted and I couldn't be more pleased.

Hilary's pricing was also very reasonable and she was really good about staying within our tight budget. I would definitely recommend Fleurtations to any bride.

I can't say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Hilary. I had a tight budget and had visited many florists who told me that what I wanted was "impossible" or that it was completely out of my price range for a wedding in November, and Hilary made it all possible. I had a good idea of what I wanted for my wedding and brought pictures....and everything turned out nearly identical. For the items I did not have pictures for, like the cake and the church flowers, I told Hilary to do what she though would look good, and everything turned out beautifully. Guest complemented the arrangements all night long and even the next day. Some even said the flowers looked too perfect to be real!

Hilary from Fleurtations did a fantastic job on my wedding flowers! She was such a treat to work with in the beginning as we were trying to figure out which flower arrangements to use. I was so impressed with the level of detail with each arrangement - from the grapefruit slices in the vases to the wispy grass leaves in the bowls. Hilary was so attentive to detail, that I could not believe how extraordinary everything turned out.

After searching the DMV area for a reliable florist for my wedding, I couldn't be happier that I found Hilary! She met with me and listened to what I thought I would like, and although I had no specifics for her to go on, she created a beautiful wedding day for me! Hil created arrangements for the ceremony and centerpieces for the reception. My very favorite piece was my bridal bouquet. I couldn't have been more thrilled, especially because I did not have an exact picture for her to go from. Not only did I find her creative, reliable, and flexible, but her prices were significantly more reasonable that other florists that I met with. Thank you Hilary for creating a beautiful wedding day!

I had an excellent experience with Hilary/Fleurtations Floral for my October wedding this year. The first time we spoke on the phone, I was impressed with her ideas and flexibility and able to establish a rapport with her. She's very personable and pleasant to do business with, which is key if you're working with a 1 person shop!

I had previously gotten higher quotes from other wedding florists (some overly inflated) and so I felt her quotes were honest and a great value for the artistry and quality she provided. Because I was so happy with her professionalism and prices, I was willing and able to add more floral arrangements for my event than I had previously planned.

Hilary's bridal and bridesmaid bouquets were absolutely beautiful. One of my bridesmaids, who is not very gung-ho wedding or particularly sentimental about things, even said "hey, can I keep this after tonight? I really like it!" about the bouquet. My bouquet was fuller than the BM bouquets and had various types of purple roses, a collar of dark red glossy leaves that people (and I) really loved, stephanotis with little gems in the center to pin them in, and mini calla lilies.

The guests all LOVED her centerpieces, which she designed and then let me provide some personal input. She gave me some sample ideas and then I tweaked them according to me and my groom's taste. This was great because you want to represent your ideas but the professional input to realize the "look" you want. Our low centerpieces included roses, lotus pods, artichoke hearts (very creative and autumnal/nature like!), berries and a few other flowers. They were perfect for the time of year and venue, which would have been overwhelmed by tall centerpieces all over the room.

Hilary doesn't rent containers so arrangements and vessels are yours to keep after your event. She did have medium tall pillars that we borrowed for the tall arrangements that framed us during the ceremony. She was flexible and able to add on some pomander balls on hooks framing the ceremony space, as well as some arrangements for tables around the cocktail hour and ceremony/dinner space, after our walk-through.

Over 1 week later, a lot of the arrangements were still perky and pretty but they were definitely in bloom and at their peak during our wedding. My parents have the remaining arrangements around their house and have also shared them with relatives and neighbors.

I really enjoyed working with Hilary and would recommend her!

I met with numerous Florists but when I met with Hilary I knew she was perfect. She was so friendly at all of our meetings and had great ideas. Her prices are great and she is very responsive. I must have emailed her a dozen times, sometimes with changes, and she never seemed to mind. Hilary was always pleasant, even with my changes which would drive a lot of vendors nuts! I received so many compliments on my centerpieces and other arrangements as they really were beautiful. My only complaint is that some of the flowers in my bouquet were dying on the edges but I think it's because I picked a flower that doesn't hold up well in heat. I definitely recommend Hilary compared to other vendors as shes affordable, respectful, friendly and delivers a great product!

You know that your flower decorations are beautiful when your guests take pictures of them and put them on Facebook 2 days after your wedding. Hilary of Fleurtations was wonderful. I had a lot of specific ideas for my wedding and Hilary not only made those ideas come to life, she expanded them! I showed her pictures of what I was thinking of, and she in turn gave me several options that fit what I was looking for. She was knowledgeable and creative. Most importantly, she was conscious of my budget (which was tight) and definitely gave me a lot of bang for my buck. Fleurtations provided beautiful hydrangea bouquets for me as well as three different kinds of centerpieces, a iron wedding arch with a beautiful green and white arrangement, cake floweres, lovely boutonnieres and corsages. Flowers are a wild card, you rarely get to sample the flowers (for free) before your wedding. But I can certainly say my flowers were fantastic and I was definitely pleased with Fleurtation's work. We looked at 4 or 5 different floral vendors and decided to go with Hilary and we were glad that we did. Hillary was great to work with. She was very flexible and tried to find the right flowers that you're looking for. Her price was very reasonable and the final product was great. The flowers for the reception and the ceremony site turned out great. I would recommend her to anyone.

Hilary was a great florist to work with. I had a lot of last minute changes (grandparents who couldn't attend, etc.) that would probably have driven another vendor crazy...it got pretty bad, I think I emailed changes to her 5 times in the month before the wedding. But Hilary was gracious and had no problem making changes to my order.

She was at the church before I even got there and had everything set up. One less thing to worry about. And when I decided to do my own centerpieces at the reception (because I wanted to add my own touches - not because Hilary wouldn't have done an exceptional job), she didn't seem to take any offense to that.

If you are looking for a low-cost option but not sacrifice on quality, I would recommend Fleurtations.

Hilary was an awesome person to work with. We had a few hiccups a four weeks prior to the wedding when we were thinking of postponing it all and she worked with us with our dates without any complaints. When I saw the gazebo she decorated, I was ecstatic, it was just like I imagined. She did our centerpieces as well, and they got great comments all through the night. She loves challenges and doing things differently, which helped me out because the wedding was definitely not the white dress, going down the aisle, traditional wedding you usually see here.

Hilary's service is phenomenal! She is so patient and flexible. I must have changed my order billons of times and each time she was very helpful. My flowers were absolutely beautiful, I would use her again and recommend and to any bride her services!

Hilary was so wonderful to work with. My wedding planner contacted her in the beginning of the year and she was so repsonsive to what I wanted and what could fit into the budget. She met me in February at the venue to show me mock-ups of the centerpieces for the ballroom. They looked absolutely gorgeous! Everyone commented on them during the wedding. Hilary also made all of the bouquets and boutineeres and they matched my bridesmaids dresses perfectly. I would recommend using Fleurtations! They did a wonderful job. On time, quality work and very professional and talented!

I felt that she understood my style well even though I wasn't able to articulate it easily. Hilary was the first florist I met with and she was lovely. I knew after meeting with two other florists that she was definitely the one. When I met her I had no idea what I wanted and she was very patient with me. My only complaints (if you would even consider them complaints) were that her response time was a little slow with emails and that she sometimes insisted on what she thought was a "better idea." The flowers she provided me were absolutely gorgeous and I was very satisfied with her work. All in all I would definitely recommend her.

Fleurtations was responsive when I contacted them and I enjoyed my first meeting with Hilary. I also was happy with the centerpieces, which were supposed to look shabby chic with pink hydrangea, roses, and filler. They turned out well.
I was, however, unhappy with the flowers that were used for my bridal bouquet. I actually thought that the bridesmaid flowers looked nicer and were of a higher quality than those I received. I was told that the David Austen roses would be large; almost peony size and they were very small. I do realize that you cannot always tell what something will look like when the florist has to order them, but I was very disappointed with the size of the roses. My husband's boutonniere was also not what I had wanted, and we actually ended up giving him my dad's boutonniere because the groom's was so small. I wish we had increased our budget so that I could have received the quality of flowers I was really hoping for on my wedding day.

The flowers Fleurtations provided for our wedding ceremony and reception were not at all what we contracted with Fleurtations. The "hot pink" bridesmaid bouquets were "baby pink", my bouquet was smaller than the bridesmaid's bouquets, the ribbon that held the bouquets together was done very sloppily, there were carnations in every arrangement even though there werent supposed to be, the flowers were wilted and brown by the time we got to the reception, I specifically asked for no roses at all in any arrangement or bouquet and when we arrived at the reception we were shocked to see that the topper for our wedding cake was made out of roses. I am highly disappointed in what was delivered for our wedding day...I wouldnt dare recommend Fleurtations to anyone for flowers.

Hilary does a great job at choosing the right flowers and creating the perfect centerpieces. She is flexible with last minute changes and does it with a great attitude. Hillary is a professional I highly recommend.
