Flower Genie

The staff here were very helpful in designing centerpieces and the alterpiece that I wanted. However, their arrangements are generic and I was disappointed with my bridal bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets and the boutonnieres. Some of them were coarsely put-together and cheap-looking.Granted, I got a great deal and didn't have to spend a fortune on flowers, but they are not ones to go to if you want a unique floral design experience.

We did our fair share of research for the flowers and finally decided to book with Genie. We were really torn between having a very specific look but at the same time having a budget to work with. We met on several occasions to talk about our vision. To be completely honest, we were pretty worried about the flowers but on the day of the wedding, the flowers blew us away. We loved the way the centerpieces turned out let alone the way it decorated the aisle. There were a couple of minor things that weren't right like the boutineers (she used roses instead of rannunculus) but overall, it was amazing. With all that said, we were a little upset when we found out later that we were charged a fee for one of the containers we didn't return. We had talked about that specific arrangement, and she had told us prior that there was no need to return it. But because we had already left on our honeymoon and was not there in person, we were charged $50. In the big grand scheme of things its not a big deal, just a little annoying.

We will later provide another review for the flowers she did for the Chinese Banquet. Our feelings about the work and experience working with her is quite different so we felt it would be more fair to separate it out into two reviews.
