Caring, Considerate and thorough, the perfect combination for an amazing Florist! Their prices were amazing their designed were uniques and they were more worried about making your wedding fabulous than making a quick buck. The tended to every need and no concern was blown off. I would recommend them completely.

Flower's by Emil did a wonderful job with everything for our wedding. They created centerpieces worthy of being on the cover of a magazine. Phyllis was super patient with us the entire time, even when we came in 3 times in one day. We can't say enough great things about how beautiful our centerpieces and bouquets looked. They did forget the centerpiece for our sweetheart table, but we just used the bridesmaids bouquets, so no biggie.

My flowers were beautiful however they didn't give us the flowers for the pictures. they just lied them down and made it our responsibility to get. Also they lost my flower girl flowers and baskets and I was very upset about that. They didnt come prepared for back ups.

Their price is right though.

Flowers by Emil provided a beautiful chuppah and flowers for my wedding for a fantastic value! They were very easy to work with and didn't force their ideas on me during my initial consultation with them. I mainly worked with Phyllis, and I found her to be both responsive and flexible especially when I made a couple of last minute requests. Everything looked beautiful and we received so many compliments throughout the evening.

I absolutely loved this place. They took their time and reviewed with us every flower known to man to give us the look we were going for. They arrived at each location (ceremony/ reception) on time and never pressured us in needing to go over budget. We definitely got more than we ever planned. I highly recommend them for any event.

Flowers By Emil are a God-send. My mom & I worked with Phyllis who despite her broken foot (and possible discomfort) worked with us to figure out every flower detail. The closet it got to my wedding date and despite the numerous changes Phyllis remained calm and courteous. My centerpieces, bouquests, etc. were GORGEOUS! We went to several florists who charged 2x as much for the same thing with an even worse attitude. THANK YOU!!

Flowers by Emil was perfect! I worked with Carmine who is the owner. This place is a family owned business so you get the best of care and kindness all one in one. I have to say that the cost of the flowers was so below my budget that I had a little doubt how everything would turn out. Let me just say the flowers were the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen for any bouqet for bridesmaids and my bridal bouqet was perfect. Carmine even threw in free crousages for the mothers and free boutineers for the groomsmen. The ceremony flowers were beautiful and the centerpieces were a hit. Everyone kept talking about them and at the end of the night when the guest found out they can take them home everyone was almost fighting for them. Flowers by Emil did an amazing job and I highly recommend them!

We were so happy with our florist. We worked with Carmine, and he really was fanstastic. He literally went through flower by flower with us until we loved our arrangements. I'm very particular and he was even willing to do 2 samples for us. He is such a nice guy and a pleasure to work with. No other place we met with really spent as much time getting it right. He was really patient and made it about what we wanted. Day of everything went smoothly. Our wedding activities were in 4 different locations - I got ready in Washingtonville, NY - the groom in Astoria, NY - the church was in Brooklyn - and the hall was in NJ. It wasn't an issue for them. The bouquets were gorgeous and the church and hall looked beautiful when we arrive. It was exactly what we had discussed. He even surprised us and really did way more to our table. It was definitely a nice surprise even though i'm someone that usually does not like surprises (LOL). Our table was stunning! My sister is now using Carmine for her wedding in Oct 2011. I was reccommended from a friend who was also reccommended from a friend. His prices are also unbeatable. He was 1k less than the lowest estimate.

Carmine is wonderful to work with. From our first meeting, he listened and was incredibly accommodating to all my requests. He was willing to work with our budget which wasn’t very much! When we had our final meeting, I had made some additions which he was happy to take care free of charge. I loved how the centerpieces came out, as did all of my guests. My bouquet was not exactly how I pictured it, but it was beautiful regardless and looked great in our photos. My only complaint was the groomsmen boutonnieres. It was so humid out that the veronicas shriveled and wilted way before the ceremony even started. Now I know I picked out the florals but because I am not an expert on flowers, I wish they would have either advised us or made changes as necessary when they saw the flowers not look right when delivering them. Overall, I do recommend Flowers by Emil. They are a great value.

Flowers by Emil was one of our favorite vendors. I am so glad that my husband researched this vendor and recommended visiting him. When we first went in for a consultation, I didn't really know the costs of flowers and looked elsewhere. After going to many other florists, we went back to Carmine because he had the best prices and most creative ideas for our budget. Carmine is a pleasure to work with. My Mom loved him too. He gives samples of all the flowers that you have in mind and makes mini bouquets just so you have an idea of what works. When we went in for our mock centerpiece, our jaws dropped since it was so full and beautiful. He threw in a bunch of extras at our ceremony and reception in NJ, which made us happy. I loved my bouquet and our ceremony flowers which we used later at our sweetheart table. If you are contemplating a florist, go to Flowers by Emil. Carmine is an honest, down to earth, experienced and creative florist with high quality flowers. Don't get ripped off, go to one of Brooklyn's best.

From the first meeting to the mockup to the wedding, I was thrilled with the service I received. His prices were more than fair and I was able to get everything I wanted for well within my budget. This florist was far for us but they did a fantastic job that day! Everything went to the right places and the flowers were absolutely gorgeous!

he is just terrific, and gives a fair price. he does business the traditional way and doesn't expect payment upfront. he wants you to be pleased with his work. he offers realistic expectations and gives feedback on your ideas. he was my favorite vendor to deal with.

My only complaint was that I didn't love the bridesmaid's bouquets. They didn't look full enough to me and the construction was not what I had hoped for. There was alot of exposed florist tape around the outer flowers. That really bugged me, but I'm self-admitedly a bit neurotic.

Let me say that based on their Web site, I might have had some initial doubts. And let me follow that by saying they were all put to rest the moment I started discussing my flowers with Carmine. Carmine is quite the teddybear of a man -- friendly, and ever so nice. And he absolutely works with your budget. I got my orghic bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, boutonierres and a gorgeous chuppah for $650. In NYC, that's almost unheard of. And their work was GORGEOUS. Here's the real kicker though -- Carmine upgraded our chuppah to a bigger one, free of charge, when he saw the space and decided we needed more chuppah. Who does that? Only the best. Lesson learned: never judge a florist by their Web site.

Flowers By Emil is a local florist who has been around for quite some time. Although, I hadn't had any experience with them, my good friend used them and referred them to her friends. If you are looking for competitive prices, then this is the place to go for your flowers. No bargaining was needed. They give you reasonable prices and beautiful flowers. I worked with Phyllis and she understood my desire for a classic look and suggested a beautiful combination of colors and flowers to meet my vision of simplicity, elegance and timeless beauty. And the end result sure was that! They also worked with me to create a centerpiece that complimented my reception hall as well as the rest of the decor. They also helped to decorate my cake. I wanted to make my cake look special and they mastered the look that I requested without overdoing it and yet added some great touches. My boK was stunning, the church pew flowers were so unique and my centerpieces looked amazing. Again, they have the right price and will give you reliability and stunning flowers.

Carmine is very old school, so I was worried that he didn't understand the more modern, organic look that I was going for. But he was really flexible and listened to what I wanted. In the end, we came up with something I loved and I received so many compliments about my flowers.

This place was awesome. They were nice, easy to work with, they got things right and they were not over priced ay all. I would definitely recommend them! My flowers were gorgeous!!!!

Flowers by Emil was great. It was was certainly worth the cost. My flowers were beautiful and they were delivered on time.

Every bride who has ever worked with Carmine knows he would not disappoint and our wedding is no exception. His flowers were gorgeous and vibrant. He captured the clean, modern aesthetic that we were looking for and his prices are unbeatable. We even told Carmine when we saw the quote that we really do want to pay the fair market price to him. We had an initial meeting and then saw a mock-up, but 2 months before the wedding, I decided to have 3 smaller centerpieces at each table instead of one big one. Carmine took the change in stride and offered to create another mock-up. We told him that we trusted him and his work and we’re sure the flowers will look great. And of course, they did!

If you don't have a florist, call Carmine RIGHT NOW! Carmine had never done a wedding at my venue, The Unversity Club, so he took the time to come out there and meet the events director at the Club, me, my mom, my sister and Christine Viola to go over every inch of the 7th Floor--and drew up his own floorplan, completely with detailed notes and took his own pictures, to create the most elegant floral arrangements and decor we could have imagined. When we went for our flower trial, and my Mom changed her mind on the centerpieces (we wanted Calla Lilies, but didn't want any stems exposed), so Carmine worked with us and Christine to come up with a totally new design, a week before the wedding, that simply blew everyone away the day of. Carmine managed to not overdo a very elegant and rich decor that existed at the Club; he compliemented it with soft colors, and old New York style arrangements. It takes a real creative genius to achieve what he did. Even our personal flowers were equally as elegant and sophisticated looking. His prices were beyond reasonable, and without a doubt, he will be our florist for my sister's weddings, whenver they get married!

This florist was amazing! The flowers turned out beautiful and were exactly what I wanted. The flowers also looked beautiful in the photographs. The staff was very friendly and personable.

The people at Flowers by Emil were so nice & friendly. I wanted flowers in the purple family & they were very patient with me- looking at which flowers matched my swatches. They made a sample centerpiece, which I got to take home to enjoy. My guests were able to take home the centerpiece & kept the vase. The vase was definitely of good quality. I still get compliments to this day about the bouquets.

My only complaint is that a few of the flowers in the bouquets looked wilted on the edges.
