Watkins Flowers of Distinction

I had all my flowers for my wedding done in silk, so we could keep them afterward as keepsakes, this place seemed great at first, they took all my ideas and pictures and made me a beautiful bouquet that was ready for my bridal portraits, way before the others needed to be done. However, once we got down to the wire and they started on the girls bouquets it became dicey, they weren't using the flowers I wanted, I had to tell them many times which flowers to use, and then the Thurs. before the wedding we pick up the boutiners and they are the wrong flower again, I take them back in there and they tell me it is the flower that is in the picture, the same flower I told them I didn't like to change that particular orchid to a different type of orchid. We finally walked out of there with the ones they had made and just altered them at home to make them a little smaller. I would reccomend this place only if you have the time to keep on top of them and can tell them step by step what you want, either that or give them free riegn. The workmanship is excellent, just the workers don't listen.

I had a sort of flower disaster from the beginning with my flowers. I ended up having to use Watkins which I didn't consider such a bad thing since they've been in business for ages. I called and they were more than happy to set up a consulation with me to discuss my needs. During the consultation I felt like I wasn't being listened to as they continued to show me examples of arrangements that I was NOT describing at all! This went on for about an hour and I finally asked if I could just draw it for them. After assuring me they understood I felt a little better....a little. Then we discussed price. I really only needed the flowers for attendants and family b/c we had made other arrangements for other decorations. Anyways, they quoted some crazy amount of money for these flowers which mind you were simple white daisies not roses, calla lilies or some exotic flower from hawaii! I talked them down and explained that the price wasn't in my budget. wow, I almost forgot that they asked me if we wanted the flowers delivered. My wedding was about an hour or so away so YEAH of course we want them delivered! Then they suggested that we stop by on the way in the limo and pick them up...I mean what the heck is that. I really thought that was unprofessional but I only had a few weeks and was very stressed so I told them that we would be more than happy to pay whatever delivery fee they had. On my wedding day they arrived about 30 minutes past the time they said they would which was aggrevating. The flowers were fresh but the ribbon wrap that I requested was not visible. They wrapped ribbon around the stems but not he way I asked. They didn't ruin my day but if I had to choose them again I wouldn't and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone either.

My bouquet was beautiful. It was made exactly the way I had asked. It was like the took the picture I had in my mind and made it come to life. My dress had a long row of white satin buttons down the back and they matched the ribbon on my bouquet by adding pins to get the same effect as my dress. They had it done on time and were very attentive to my wishes.
