Lara does an awesome job with cakes. She is easy to work with and the cakes taste great. She had several different wonderful flavor combinations and my cake tasted so yummy. It looked beautiful on the outside. Everyone loved our cake.

Lara and her staff at Fluffy Thoughts did an AMAZING job on my wedding cake. I was contemplating not even having a cake since most wedding cakes I've tasted have been not worth the money. However, I decided to give it a shot and received a recommendation for Fluffy Thoughts. My maid of honor and I went in for the cake tasting and were really happy with everything we tasted. In addition, their presentation was so unique. Right away I fell in love with the pumpkin cake and I decided I had to have it! All of my wedding guests RAVED about the cake and called me for days after telling me it was the best cake ever, even the ones who don't care for sweets. I had some left over to take home and I had friends fighting over it the next day. Not only did it taste fabulous, but Lara and her staff did a great job pulling off the design I requested. I changed the size and design a few times and they didn't hesitate once. Eventually I sent them a picture of what I wanted and they executed it flawlessly! It looked beautiful and elegant. I would definitely hire them again to do another cake in the future!

I chose Fluffy Thoughts to provide the cake for my wedding based upon the excellent reviews I had read, and I could not have more impressed with the taste and style of the cake that Lara and her team designed. We had a vision of what we wanted the cake to look like, and Lara was able to create exactly the style of what we had in mind. The cake itself tasted phenomenal, and I am typically not a cake/sweet eater at all. Everyone at my wedding raved about the cake, and we repeatedly heard from the guests that this was the best wedding cake they had ever had. The cake tasting was extremely helpful in learning on how all the numerous options for flavor, fillings, and frostings would work together. Communication with Lara and her team was a breeze, and everything from the ordering, design, and delivery was very efficient, uncomplicated, and stress-free. I highly recommend Fluffy Thoughts if you are in the market for a cake of any sorts, and I will not hesitate to use them myself again!

All I can say is WOW! Fluffy Thoughts did an absolutely incredible job with both our wedding cake and our festive "groom's cake" for the rehearsal dinner. Both cakes tasted so good that when we fed them to each other in the key moments of the evening, we actually ate the entire forkful of cake instead of just shoving it in each other's faces. :) Both cake and frosting were flavorful, not too sweet, and light and fluffy. The fondant icing was particularly delicious! We chose the cake flavors from a wide variety offered to us during our tasting, as well as little additions like chocolate crunchies. The design of both cakes was outstanding. They designed a classic wedding cake accented with the beading design of my gown, with beautiful fondant flowers all over the cake. For the groom's cake, we chose a ski mountain design because that's where we met. Fluffy Thoughts did a great job designing a mountain with a chair lift and a little bride and groom on skis. Very cute and creative! In terms of process, the staff was very responsive to my emails, and they gave us a free tasting, which was a lot of fun! I plan to use Fluffy Thoughts again for future cake needs.

We hired Fluffy Thoughts for our wedding cake simply because they offered the most unique flavors. We wanted a seasonal cake for our Fall wedding and as soon as I saw online that they offered a pumpkin cake, I booked our tasting. I had no idea what I was in for – the tasting with Lara was amazing! We tasted so many unique flavors and combinations it was difficult to choose just three. We decided on pumpkin cake with layers of caramel and maple cream cheese, white cake with raspberry jam and lemon butter cream, and chocolate cake with chocolate ganache. Our cake truly tasted the same or better than the tasting! All of our guests raved about the unique flavor options and everyone loved the pumpkin cake. I also think Fluffy Thoughts is comparable or lower in cost than other bakeries that charge extra for things like fondant or fillings. Our cake was also more stunning than I had anticipated (by the way, I never thought that I would use the word “stunning” to describe a cake!). I provided Lara with a photo of a cake design that I liked and Lara made it more beautiful than the photo. Their customer service cannot be beat either. I could go on and on, but simply put: our cake was affordable, beautiful and tasted great!

Their cakes are amazing. We received many, many compliments on our wedding cake. The tasting process that Fluffy Thoughts uses is very unique and allows you to taste just about any combination you can imagine. We tasted cakes at 2 other places and Fluffy Thoughts beat them hands down and the prices are competitive for the area.

I chose fluffy thoughts for my wedding cake. At the tasting I was amazed at the different options I could have. I chose the white chocolate with a milk chocolate ganache and cookies and cream filling and chocolate cake with coffee filling. It was delicious! I met with them and they were able to create a beautiful cake.

We used Fluffy Thoughts for our wedding cake and were very pleased with the result! I am not someone who likes things that are very sweet, so choosing the cake was probably one of the hardest things for me. At our tasting, my (now) husband and I were initially a bit overwhelmed by all of the options we could choose from, but Lara offered many suggestions on flavor combinations, which was very helpful. Since we had an autumn wedding, we wanted to choose a flavor that was indicative of the season. We wound up choosing two flavors: pumpkin spice cake with coffee buttercream for the display cake and hazelnut cake with alternating layers of dark chocolate ganache, coffee buttercream, and hazelnut buttercream for the supplemental sheet cake. Both were phenomenal! Everyone enjoyed our cakes and thought our flavor combinations were very unique choices for a wedding cake. The display cake was simply gorgeous! We preferred a simpler design, so we opted for a 3-tiered twisted square ivory cake with a large chocolate branch lying diagonally across the front. To give it a pop of color, we had a small cluster of fresh flowers on the top and one flower on each tier. The flowers were provided by our florist but arranged on the cake by Fluffy Thoughts. It turned out even better than we imagined and truly captured the fall look that we were going for! My only “complaint” (and I hesitate to use that word) is that we wound up with a ton of leftover cake. We had 165 guests at our wedding, so we chose a display cake sized to feed 100 people and supplemented it with a sheet cake sized to feed 75 people. Everyone was served a large piece of cake at the reception and extra pieces were put out on a table for people to have more. Even so, at the end of the night, we wound up taking home the top layer of the display cake along with the entire sheet cake that was never even cut. In hindsight, we would’ve ordered much less cake. The leftovers were delicious, but I would’ve rather saved the extra expense. The entire staff was very friendly and easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend Fluffy Thoughts to any bride!

Lara and her team are just fabulous. Delicious cakes, responsive, and professional. Lara was willing to consult with me twice to discuss the design of my cake and was happy to make any changes I requested. The whole Fluffy Thoughts staff are wonderful, happy people who clearly love their work. They'll make your vision a reality and the cakes taste amazing!

An awesome tasting wedding cake was a top priority for us. We also wanted a unique looking cake that fit our fall theme. We loved working with Fluffy Thoughts. They are all-around professional from preparing for the initial consultation by gathering your likes and dislikes to coming up with various flavor combination and design ideas during the hour-long tasting. At the consultation, they "had us!" We chose a pumpkin cake with a cinnamon cream cheese frosting and homemade salted caramel as well as red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, dark chocolate ganache and raspberry jam. The cake looked like "fall fireworks" which made it one of the hits of wedding. Plus, it tasted amazing. Even some of our wedding guests said that this cake was THE BEST they had ever had (and they have been to a A LOT of weddings!). Fluffy Thoughts, including Lara and Gwen, is creative, responsive via phone and email, listens to its customers and enjoy making brides happy.....And groom's too. ***We also worked with Fluffy Thoughts to create a surprise grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner. The theme - Burn Notice. They were extremely detailed and delivered a one-of-a-kind cake with so many items on it associated with the TV show. They even incorporated photos of the bride and groom along with two sugar people - Michael and Fiona, the main characters. It was absolutely perfect!! I really feel like this bakery works hard to earn your business and turn out great products.You can't go wrong with Fluffy Thoughts. Their cupcakes are good, too!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE FLUFFY THOUGHTS! Fluffy Thoughts made the most AMAZING cake I have ever seen for my wedding rehearsal dinner - a triceratops groom's cake complete with pirate patch and peg for my husband (to honor his lifelong love of dinosaurs and pirates)! Words can't describe how lifelike, detailed, and cool this cake looked. Suffice it to say that the triceratops looked like it was going to walk right off the sand display table, and truly belonged in a museum. The guests crowded around the groom’s cake and oohed and awwed, clicking photo after photo of it. But best of all, the huge smile that came on my husband's face when he saw this surprise was priceless! I am so grateful to Fluffy Thoughts for helping me to make my husband feel appreciated and happy! I also want to note that this was a HUGE cake. It seemed about two feet in length and quite tall. My dad picked it up in DC and drove it 3 hours to Charlottesville, VA. Even though it was so big, and with horns sticking out and everything, it stayed 100% intact through the whole journey.Finally, I got super cool Samoa and Candy Bar Crunch cupcakes from Fluffy Thoughts for my bridal shower. I plan on going back soon - so I can try the Cannoli, Candy Cane, and Pina Colada flavors, among others! Thanks Fluffy Thoughts!

Lara Stuckey and Fluffy Thoughts Cakes were absolutely amazing. They did our grooms cake, wedding cake and cupcakes. Everything not only looked incredible but tasted incredible as well. Our Notre Dame grooms cake was the most bada** cake I have ever seen. The foot tall leprechaun was detailed and right on point. It was also edible and tasted great. Lara and her staff were very attentive and easily accessible when needed. They helped toss ideas back and forth and found ways to work within our budget. I highly recommend Fluffy Thoughts and can't wait to work with them again.I definitely recommend them

I used Fully thoughts for my Grooms Cake, it turned out awesome! They created a cake to look like my dog. I surprised my husband with it and he could believe it. It looked so much like her, They did an amazing job, they were very responsive and very professional! plus the cake was so yummy! I highly recommend Fluffy thoughts!

I ordered the Groom's cake from Fluffy Thoughts, and the wedding cupcakes. The tasting they provided was great! They let you taste up to 6 different fillings and 6 cakes, and they were all DELICIOUS. They offered a lot of unique cakes as well, such as red velvet and pumpkin. I wanted Van Halen's guitar for the Groom's cake and was absolutely FLOORED when they delivered it. I mean this cake was a work of art. I was not expecting it to be so detailed - my husband was amazed. He was so surprised and honestly I think it was his favorite part of the wedding. The cupcakes were also lovely. They looked perfect and tasted great. The only thing left at the end of the night, was a small slice of the guitar cake and 1 cupcake - everything was eaten. It goes to show that the flavors were well-received. I 110% recommend Fluffy Thoughts!

Fluffy Thoughts Cakes was wonderful in creating and designing our wedding cake. Everything turned out beautifully and definitely exceeded our expectations! Reasonably prices and absolutely DELICIOUS! Several guests commented it was the best wedding cake they ever had.

I worked with Lara Stuckey and her staff for my grooms cake and wedding cake. I wanted the grooms cake to be a replica of a bottle of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum. The cake was spot on and I couldn't have been happier! Everyone (especially the groom) loved it! Our wedding cake was better than we could have ever expected and all of our guests loved the flavors of it. I have already recommended Fluffy Thoughts Bakery to other people and will continue to do so!

Our cake was just as we remembered from our tasting..fabulous!! It looked just like I imagined and everyone loved the crunchy chocolate thingies. :) My grooms cake was better than I imagined!..Highly recommend Lara, she's great.

Lara was amazing to work with and very flexible! Our wedding day cake on 9/4/11 was a tower of 210 cupcakes, a 6" cake topper for cutting and a smaller Steelers football grooms cake. BOTH WERE AMAZING!! We were so thankful to find that the cupcakes were an Extremely affordable option vs a traditional cake so we jumped at the option to grab the date on their books and to order from them ASAP! The tasting was delicious and their cupcakes are amazing as well! Everyone loved all the different cupcakes flavors we had and the peppermint red velvet cake/cupcakes she made for us sold out QUICK! It was a combo we've had before and she made it for us and it was so goooodd!! People still talk about it and say the cupcakes were yummy! People were leaving with 2 cupcakes each! ;) I orderede another birhtday Steelers cake for my husband last year and it quite turn out the way I envisioned it but I got a picture of this one and it before I ordered it and it looked AWESOME and so lifelike. It seriosuly looked like a real football sitting on grass!! So uncanny! I thoguht they were going to leave us cupcake boxes for guests to take hom but I never saw them. But then again I didn't see lots of things that happened that day bc I was running around having so much fun! I'll go back to just eat their cupcakes of course!

My fiance and I had a very fun and yummy cake tasting with Lara and knew Fluffy Thoughts was our choice. The cake not only was beautiful but it was soo delicious. We got so many compliments that evening about our cake and besides my fiance and I, I think that was the next most photographed! Fluffy thoughts has so many unique flavors and combinations and we were able to get three different flavors and it worked out wonderfully. The decorating was top notch and exceeded my expectations.

Our cake was exceptional! We planned our wedding in under 3 months, and when I called to have a tasting, they quickly penciled us in and were extremely accomodating! There was nothing that they let us try that we didn't like, but the cake we chose is still being talked about (and eaten) 2 weeks later! It was beautiful, elegant, and soooooo good!! We moved our reception venue within days of the wedding, and I called to let them know of the location change (from Vienna to Ashburn...) and they said no problem! I had no issues, they added my cake top when they got to the reception site... completely stress free and AMAZING!!!

Fluffy Thoughts was the first bakery we tried and we didn’t even bother to search for another shop after our tasting. Once we met Lara Stuckey, we knew we made the right choice! She was very cheerful, professional, and fantastic to work with. We had a great time at our cake tasting and choosing our cake design. I had a very specific look I wanted for my wedding cake; however, I couldn’t describe or made up my mind for a longest time. I literally scheduled several appointments and changed the design 5 different times. My last change was 3 months before our wedding and it was no problem at all! Lara responded to my emails and phone calls promptly. She never once made me feel that I bothered her. As matter of fact, she made it seem very easy and her assurance made me feel very comfortable after our appointments.Lara gave us exactly the final look and the taste we were looking for. We had a 3 tier round cake with 2 flavors, red velvet with dark ganache and cream cheese and white cake with passion fruit, black raspberry and strawberry. It was covered in white fondant with silver painted risers in between each tier and stunning silver dots and dragees cascading the side of each tier. Silver tipped sugar peonies on the top and bottom tier add the perfect accent to our cake. When our photographer Ethan Yang shared us our wedding slideshow, our cake looked stunning, just like the cake in the high end bridal magazine. We also ordered Fluffy Thoughts cupcakes for our favors. Our Wedding cake and 80 of our Double Cupcake Favor Boxes were delivered on time, they looked and tasted amazing! Our family and friends can't stop talking about how beautiful the cake was. It was delicious! Very Moist!!! We all loved every bite of it. We got lots of compliments.Lara went above and beyond our expectations! Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding perfect!!! We would highly recommend Fluffy Thoughts for any bride. Our experience with Fluffy Thoughts and the owner Lara was so far beyond what we expected from our cake baker. The tasting was the most wonderful experience. Lara put together countless combinations of flavors for us to taste so we truly got to individualize our cake. I swear we probably tried at least 20 different combinations of cakes, frostings and fillings! We couldn't just pick one so we ended up having our wedding cake and then a sheet cake in the back with a different flavor! The design we wanted for our cake was very simple, but something Lara had only seen before and never actually done. We gave her some pictures as references and that was all. When we walked into our reception and saw our cake it FAR exceeded our expectations!! Throughout the entire process our experience was great. Lara was always very responsive and flexible. The prices also beat every other bakery we looked at! We can't wait to get our anniversary cake next year!!

Our wedding cake was fantastic! Beautiful, and delicious... it was perfect! Fluffy Thoughts does not believe in frozen cake, so they will make a fresh cake top on your first anniversary... my husband and I can't wait!! I would recommend Fluffy Thoughts to anyone!

Lara Stuckey is so talented!! Her cakes are delicious! She and her staff are very friendly, so creative, and will work with you to make any of your ideas come true. We were so impressed at our cake tasting meeting with Lara. She put together some amazing and unique flavors. The options were endless. We chose a chocolate mint crunch, that tasted like an andes mint, for our grooms cake (featuring our dog) and an almond cake with passion fruit filling for the wedding cake. We almost went with a cake flavor that tasted like an almond joy, but we decided 3 was too many flavors for us. She understands everyone has a budget, and will help you come up with ways to make the most out of it. They’re also reachable by email so it made communication easy, especially for someone who’s not always able to make phone calls while at work. We were very happy with Fluffy Thoughts, and definitely recommend using them for your wedding!

To start - Lara's tasting experience is absolutely unique and unlike any other bakery we tried. It is literally a deconstructed cake - cakes on one plate, fillings on another - and you get to mix and match flavors as you like. We ended up choosing a white chocolate cake filled with Nutella and hazelnut cream for the base tier and and white chocolate cake filled with cookies and cream, dark ganache and little crunchie things...all we could say when we put the combos together was OMG. For our design, Lara took a cake she had previously done that we were inspired by, and added silver stars and origami cranes on chocolate branches to make it uniquely ours.At the wedding, we got rave, incredible reviews for the look and taste of the cake. Afterwards, my FB page was filled with comments about delicious cake and I sent a chunk to the office with one of my bridesmaids/co-workers; she told me that one of the guys who had been at the wedding found out there was cake in the kitchen and literally ran to get a piece. I think that explains enough how AMAZING Lara's cake was!!! I was irked to have only been able to take one bite at the wedding but when we went home the next day, my husband and I were finally able to sit down in front of the TV with a piece and enjoy it!Lara herself is so sweet to work with - she was friendly and personable, best of all, flexible! I think her rates have gone up by now, but when we booked her, her price was definitely on par, if not slightly better than other bakers in the area. Now that she's been on Food Network and is gonna be super famous :) you should definitely book her as you wedding cake baker - you will not regret it!! Lara is amazing! The cake and flavors are to die for and so creative. We ended up deciding on a replica of my parent's wedding cake and gave Lara a picture and she reproduced it to a T, she also did an amazing grooms cake, and cupcakes for my bridal shower.

Lara from Fluffy Thoughts was amazing! She is a true artist, and we loved her from day one, when we went to the cake testing, and were presented with different fillings and ganaches in an artist's palette! We ended up going with two flavors: the "Twix bar" cake and passionfruit and lemon with angel food cake. We were complimented on both! But it was the design of the cake that really stood out, and we are so happy that we went with Fluffy Thoughts.

Where do I begin?I chose Fluffy Thoughts based on the reviews off of weddingwire. When we had our tasting we were a bit overwhelmed with all the choices, but the staff helped us choose flavors that worked well together.We ended up doing a small cake on top with cupcakes for the guests. We had four different flavor choices, and the passion fruit one was my favorite! So much so that I had them replicate it into a cake for my now Husband's birthday cake and a friend used the same flavor for a baby shower cake!I HIGHLY recommend Fluffy Thoughts!

Absolutely Fantastic. Lara and her staff was so great to work with. During the cake tasting, she was so patient and let us try so many different flavors. We ended up with two different flavors and I wanted a modern looking cake so she drew out a few options according to my requests. After a few weeks, I came back and her staff met with me to confirm a few details and answered any last minute questions that I had. On the wedding day, the cake turned out beautifully. Everyone kept commenting how unique and modern our wedding cake looked, not to mention, delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better cake for my wedding day. I would highly recommend Fluffy Thoughts to anyone.

Lara and her staff at Fluffy are truly amazing! They were very accommodating to our needs. When we first met Lara, my husband and I instantly loved her. The combination of cake flavors she used were very delicious! And her technical precision is 100% on point. Lara really went the extra mile with us by making a few exceptions for our special day. I really enjoyed her service and the quality of her cakes is absolutely stellar! By the way, she was excellent on the Cake Challenge on the Food Network channel.

I asked Lara to make a townhouse cake for my son's rehearsal dinner. This was the townhouse the groom lived in for seven years, and was living in when he met his fiance. Lara took the concept and elevated the cake to perfection. It was whimsical and original and everyone at the dinner was wowed by all the detailed elements. (The actual townhouses, figures representing my son his fiance with their college jerseys, and replicas of his friends, hanging out of the windows on the roof etc. - a flat screen TV, a kegorator, a grill and more) In addition the cake was delicious! It was a white cake with caramel and chocolate ganache and buttercream and candy crunch. Everyone we worked with at Fluffy Thoughts was so helpful, friendly and knowledgable. It was PERFECT!

My fiancee and I interviewed two different kind of cake bakers - a woman who worked out of her home, and Fluffy Thoughts, which is a store front bakery. At the tasting at Fluffy Thoughts there was no comparison to the at home baker - because of the amazing amount of buttercreams, jams, icings, frostings, and cake flavors. Lara was very helpful at the tasting, making suggestions on how to best combine all the different kinds of cakes and fillings. We also sketched out an idea for the design of the cake with her then. We had one final meeting with her where I provided her one of our thank you notes so she could see the blue and brown colors we were going for with the cake fondant color. She helped us design our cake so that the bottom layer had a swirl that matched the swirl on our invite, the middle layer had a hatching effect (that actually matched the wallpaper at our venue) and then the top layer repeated the swirl.When I saw the cake at the wedding I was blown away. The colors matched perfectly as did the swirl design (which worked well because everyone's placecards and the table number cards all were in the same blue stationery as the color of the cake, and had the swirl design on them). We made sure the hotel saved us a peice of each layer - the bottom we went with red velvet cake with dark chocolate ganache, raspberry buttercream, and creamcheese filling; the middle was almond cake with raspberry jam and lemon curd and cream cheese filling; and the top was hazlenut cake with nutella and chocolate filling. We ate a peice of each layer in our hotel room with champagne after the wedding was over - and loved them all!The day after the wedding we had some cake left over, and had all our family over and everybody wanted more cake then too!Lara and Kristi were responsive to all my emails (including my questions about the design because we decided to not have a cake topper due to the design of the swirl covering the top of the cake), and the cake was delivered with the silver cake stand, on time, and exactly as promised.Each piece was about .50 more than the home baker, but for a 100 person wedding, it was well worth the $50 difference.Thank you Fluffy Thoughts!

My fiancé and I are extremely satisfied with Lara and her staff at Fluffy Thoughts. We actually went with wedding cupcakes and a small cake on top. Fluffy Thoughts provides a nice, stable cupcake stand which some places like Georgetown Cupcakes do not. Fluffy Thoughts pretty much allows you to create your own flavors which was a really nice touch. My favorite cupcake was banana cake, peanut butter icing and milk chocolate filling-YUM!!Everything was perfect, delicious and beautiful.

Lara and her team at Fluffy Thoughts did an amazing job with our wedding cakes. They were absolutely amazing, very professional, personable and competitively priced. I fell in love with Fluffy Thoughts after my first cake tasting. It was divine. We chose the yellow cake with passion fruit filling and coconut, red velvet with cream cheese filling and butter cream and carrot cake with cream cheese. I couldn’t decide on which one I wanted to eat so, I had a bite of all three on our wedding day…lol!! My husband was so excited after receiving his surprise gift of a Raven’s helmet cake. The helmet looked so real. So many people came up to the cakes to take pictures because they were amazed that the cakes could be so beautifully sculptured as well as eatable. Many guest also commented on how moist and delicious the cake choices were. We loved working with Lara Stuckey and her staff at Fluffy Thoughts for our wedding cake. We chose to do a display cake with only 1 layer of cake (the rest Styrofoam) and then had 4 sheet cakes for the guests. This both kept us within our budget and gave us the opportunity to feature 4 delicious flavors of cake for our cake buffet. The cake itself was delicious (which isn't always the case for wedding cakes!!!) and our guests raved about the flavors we chose - "Elvis" cake (banana cake with peanut butter and chocolate filling), dark chocolate cake with mint filling, red velvet cake with raspberry and chocolate filling, and pumpkin cake with maple filling - and many went back for 2nds and 3rds!! The display cake was BEAUTIFUL - Lara did a wonderful job bringing our ideas to life. They delivered and set up the cake beautifully and lent us a cakestand so it looked great on our cake table. Lastly, they offer the bride and groom a complimentary cake on their anniversary (you just have to call in advance to order), and we are happy not to have a frostbitten top layer of cake in our freezer for a year! I will absolutely be returning to Fluffy Thoughts for cakes, cupcakes, and other tasty treats in the future, and recommend them to any couple looking for a beautiful, tasty, and affordable wedding cake!

I served cupcakes at my wedding instead of a cake. Lara worked with me to figure out all of the different flavor options. My guests were completely over the moon with these cupcakes! They absolutely loved them and I have a lot of cupcake snob friends! Fluffy thoughts was very responsive, the price was really great and they were all really, really friendly! I would highly, highly recommend them for their yummy yummy cupcakes!

Lara and her team were awesome to work with! And the value for the price is awesome. I had a few tastings in the $7-8 a slice price range, and then after the tasting at Fluffy Thoughts I was surprised to find out they are actually affordable! The tasting was the best experience also - they bring a few different cake flavors and a ton of different fillings so you can figure out which you actually like most. And the fillings are all amazing! We ended up with a red velvet cake for one tier and white cake with passionfruit and other fillings for our other two tiers. We cut into the red velvet cake and it was delicious :) Somehow neither of us got a piece of the other flavor soo I'm glad we have a tiny bit left over!The rest of their desserts are fantastic also - we ordered a bunch of macaroons for our reception the night before our wedding...everyone loved them, and luckily enough i still have some for myself :)

Lara and everyone else at Fluffy Thoughts was great! They have tons of flavors, fillings, and frostings, and are very flexible about letting you create your own combinations. We had 3 different kinds of cake in our 1 wedding cake (1 in each layer). They also let you do a sheet cake in the back to keep costs down a bit. Very responsive and helpful!

Hands Down the best deal in the Washington area. We went to other bakeries and were turned off by requiring a credit card hold for a tasting or the additional costs for "extras" (which we did not think were that extra). Fluffy thoughts had great recomendations to please everyone. We had a three layer cake with carrot cake, marble, and hazelnut so everyone could get what they wanted. They matched our colors perfectly for the ribbon and it was a great addition to the wedding. I would recomend them for their value let alone their quality.

We loved our cake. Lara created exactly what we imagined with sugar leaves, berries, and acorns. Everyone at the reception thought it was beautiful. Needless to say, many pictures were taken, as well as, the staff at the location we had our reception came out prior the event because they weren't used to seeing that level of sugar work (per the catering director to my mother). Additionally, the cake tasted fantastic. We had three different flavors-the pumpkin with cream cheese buttercream and the candy bar crunch cake were awesome. Thank-you.

What can I say, Lara and her team are on fire! Hands down, Fluffy Thoughts bakes the best wedding cake that I have ever had...and believe me, I looked hard...I even took a roadtrip with my bridesmaids to Baltimore to a better known bakery (as seen on Food Network) and there is no comparison - Fluffy Thoughts tastes much better and is a far better value! Fluffy Thoughts made two beautiful cakes for me - a grooms cake shaped like a basketball with my husbands home team logo on it as well as a lovely wedding cake. We had our wedding cake made by Fluffy thoughts because they made the BEST cake design compared to other cake shops around the MD-DC-VA area and also has the BEST cake flavor. Lara Stuckey spent time with us to pick the perfect wedding cake, and personalized our cake to the theme of our wedding. She had great selection of cakes to the point that we had great difficulty picking our cake flavor. Lara went out of her way by adding another layer of cake at a last minute when she felt that she will need more cake slices because of our guest count. We got our wedding cake from Fluffy Thoughts, and my whole family can attest that this is the most amazing cake place you'll ever find in the world. Here's why:1. BEST CAKE-TASTING EXPERIENCE. Before I went to Fluffy Thoughts, I tasted cakes at about 4 other places. Each of these other places had given me and my family slices to share from about 4 cakes that I pre-ordered on the phone, and these samples tasted OK but were generally unimpressive. My family and I were sick of cake, but decided to keep our appointment at Fluffy Thoughts and give them a try (mostly because my dad thought the name was hilarious). We were overwhelmed and shocked by how unique and awesome Fluffy Thoughts was as soon as we opened the door to the store. It's small and beautifully decorated. Unlike anywhere else, they have a very professional tasting room, where you can look at albums and slideshows of cakes while you're waiting and deliberating. Lara, the owner, brought us 6 mini loaves of different cakes and 2 artists' palettes of icings and fillings. She would cut slices of these loaves and spread particular fillings and icings on these slices (mini cake sandwiches!) so that we could try absolutely every variety possible. My family LOVED this experience and it really got everyone into such happy moods. 2. COOL UNIQUE CAKE FLAVORS. The flavors of cake themselves were incredible. The ingredients tasted so fresh and lovely that we really felt like we were eating good quality food. Deciding between flavors was the hardest part, but Fluffy Thoughts allowed us to incorporate 2 of our favorite flavors into our cake, which made the decision easier. I don't like chocolate, but my family loved a lot of the chocolate-based flavors. We settled on Pistachio cake with raspberry preserves and rose meringue filling (which was my favorite) and Angel Food Cake with blackberry meringue and passion fruit filling. Both flavors were a hit.3. GREAT DECORATIONS. Fluffy Thoughts can do anything and Lara was very helpful in giving us ideas. Our final cake was gorgeous and exactly what I had in mind (actually, it was even better).4. PERKS. Everytime I met with Lara, she let me leave with a bunch of free cupcakes and cookies. fluffy thoughts did our cake for our auguts 2010 wedding and it was amazing!! firstly, the tasting was definitely the best one we had. unlike some of the other places we visited who gave us day old cupcakes to sample, lara gives you fresh little loaves of each cake flavor and then a huge selection of frostings and fillings so that you can bulid your own combinations of flavors. it was awesome. she was also very creative with design and open to ideas. she was priced similarly to other bakers we considered. she was aso increadible flexible and allowed us to make design changes less than 2 weeks before the wedding. we also had a major numbers change. she was very accomodating and even suggesting doing a dummy layer so that we could still have a super tall cake even though we weren't going to have the larger number that we had expected. and oh yeah, the cake was AMAZING. soooooooooo good! we can't wait to eat our top layer! and actually she gives you a free cake for your 1 year anniversary so you don't even have to save the top layer (i think we'll eat it at our 6 month anniversay!). overall, our cake was amazingly beautiful and detailed and tasted awesome. working with lara was wonderful as well. what more could you ask of a wedding vendor?

I'll confess: My husband and I won a cake from Lara after we entered a contest for military couples. We submitted an essay and won a free wedding cake -- which was sooooo great because otherwise we would not have had room in our budget for a cake like the one we got. What did we get? A cake that I was nearly jealous of for upstaging me! It was so, so, so beautiful and our guests were completely wowed. Lara created a stunning, dramatic cake and it was so perfect! Bonus: It was the best tasting thing I have ever eaten! (Hint: Her passion fruit puree with coconut and white cake is THE best!). Lara is also a really great person to work with and we can't thank her enough for offering the contest and choosing us -- it was the cake of my dreams and I'm sure if we had paid for it it would have been worth every penny! VERY highly recommend!!

Fluffy Thoughts was the 1st bakery we tried and we were sold after the tasting. Lara worked with us to pick out the perfect balance on flavors and sketch up the perfect cake. Everything was all set and ready to go until I decided to add a groom’s cake (a Packers cheesehead!) for the rehearsal dinner at the last minute. Almost immediately and without hesitation, she had a design mocked up, flavors were selected and the order was placed. The cheesehead was awesome and I got so many compliments on it - and the wedding cake was just as beautiful as I had pictured it. Both cakes were absolutely delicious! She and Fluffy Thoughts were a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them!

Lara and her team did a fantastic job on our wedding! We had 4 flavors of wedding cupcakes, a top wedding tier to cut into and a groom's cake that I designed on paper. Lara was excellent to work with and the cake she made for our wedding was to die for inside and out! At the tasting, Lara sat down with my husband and I to discuss the design concept (which we wanted to be based off of our invitations). Not only was it beautiful on the outside but it tasted magnificent. She packed it with so much flavor. It was a hit at the wedding! I don't think some people have ever had a wedding cake that tasted so good! When it comes to cakes for special occasions, I plan to come to Fluffy Thoughts, because the design and quality is phenomenal. She is the best and brings to the table something truly unique.

YUM about sums it up!!! Lara, from Fluffy Thoughts is extremely professional while being thoughtful and creative...we had sampled cakes at other bakers; however, it was Lara's helpful suggestions and fun attitude that sold us on Fluffy Thoughts. The reception venue's Banquet Captain had never had a cake ENTIRELY eaten before...all that was left was the top tier for the bride and groom to have on their one year anniversary! And we should've told him to let the guests have that too...as Fluffy Thoughts policy is to make a one year anniversary cake for the couple as part of the wedding cake package!!!! We had 3 different flavors: wedding white, red velvet and the marble...all with different fillings between the layers...it was UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Lara absolutely nailed my wedding cake. It was by far my favorite design element from our wedding because it was EXACTLY what I wanted - not a close approximation, not a neat surprise - just exactly what I wanted. Not only that but the cake was delicious. My husband and I are cake fanatics and having lived and sampled from the famous cupcakeries in New York, LA, and all around DC, we can definitely say that Lara's cakes are awesome. Lara has so many cake and frosting flavors and can literally do anything. Her design portfolio is also incredible. We brought in the customized graphic and paper that we'd used on our wedding invitations and asked her to add hot pink sugar orchids to the design and she gave us exactly what we wanted. It was so, so beautiful. She also did a groom's cake for us, two Maryland blue crab cakes (bride and groom) - we got so many compliments on both. I will absolutely use Fluffy Thoughts for other events in the future.

Are cake was beautiful inside and out. We order extra cake so our guests could take home wedding cake. Only 20 mins after my husband and I cut our cake, the entire cake was gone. We received so many complements on our cake. Lara and her staff were great. Always friendly and very helpful. And what can I say Lara knows her flavors and what would taste heavenly with what. Lara of Fluffy Thoughts is the best!! I gave her a photo of a cake I'd loved since I first saw it and she was able to create a very similar cake for my wedding day. My fiance missed our 1st consultation and was very concerned that the cakes weren't going to be "good enough" for the price, but we were able to request another consultation w/ Lara. Once he tried her flavors, he was sold!! She was willing to work w/ us and offered various options so that we could have the perfect cake within our budget. We got 3 different flavors and every single one of them was phenomenal! THANKS LARA =)

We chose Fluffy Thoughts because of Lara's buttercreams. We had gone to a few other cake tastings, and none of them left me wanting more the way Lara's buttercream and cake combos did. I was mostly concerned with making sure our cake was delicious, and it was, but it was also gorgeous! We had white cake with passion fruit and blackberry buttercream and then also chocolate with ganache and cookies and cream buttercream. Every guest has commented to about how delicious the cake was.In addition, Fluffy thoughts made us parisian macarons. If you have never had Lara's macarons, get to her store and try them. They melt in your mouth! And, they are so cute and colorful.Lara also made a groom's cake for our rehearsal dinner, and it was the hit of the party!! My husband is big into his barbeque and the cake looked like a slab of ribs on top of a charcoal grill complete with flames and corn on the cob, grill tongs and a bottle of our favorite barbeque sauce. Our guests could not stop snapping photos and could not believe that it was real! It looked like a cake you would see on TV. It tasted great too! Red velvet with ganache and cream cheese buttercream!I highly recommend fluffy thoughts. You will not be disappointed and your guests will thank you for a cake that tastes just as good as it looks! I doubt I can wait for my one year anniversary to have her cake again!

We were very picky when it came to our wedding cake. I think we tried out at least 5-6 cake vendors before we found Fluffy Thoughts. We were looking for someone with artistic talent and an eye for great design with the ability to create not only a piece of art but also delicious tasting cake as well. Lara and the Fluffy Thoughts team did just that. We received so many compliments on the design of the cake but even more so, we got even more compliment on how delicious the cake was and it was the best wedding cake they have ever had. Another thing that was cool about FT is that on your one year anniversary, they will bake you a new cake of your wedding cake so you don't have to save and eat the one year old freezer burnt wedding cake on you 1 yr anniversary. :)

We had some difficulty finalizing our order with another company and contacted Fluffy Thoughts a bit late in the process. It wasn't a problem. Lara was gracious and met with us quickly. The tasting we did with her was one of the highlights of the planning process. Her flavor combinations are unique and tasty. We gave her a picture of what we had in mind and she made a few suggestions to make it even more beautiful. We were delighted with the final product. The guests raved about the cake. Usually cake sits on the table and the guests pick at it in between dances. The cake was so good that it cleared the dance floor. We highly recommend Fluffy Thoughts.

We did our first cake tasting here and none of the others we did afterwards could even come close to comparing. Not only were the cakes, fillings, frostings, etc. delicious but the combination possibilities were endless! Since our tastes are different, my fiance and I were each able to select our own cake flavors. We had 4 tiers (2 of one flavor combination and 2 of another). The design of the cake was exactly what I wanted so there were no surprises when we arrived at the reception, except the surprise of how beautiful it turned out! The cost is average for around this area and maybe even a bit below average for the amount of quality you get. As a bonus you also get a free 6-inch cake on your one year anniversary so you don't have to freeze the top of your cake (which I was not looking forward to doing)! As far as communication goes, Lara is wonderful and I don't think more than a few hours ever went by before I received a response. I would definitely recommend Fluffy Thoughts to anyone and can't wait to use them for other special occasions!

Not only did it look beautiful on the outside but the inside was extremely delicious! My only regret is I didn't get to have more. Lara is great to work with! Her cakes are delicious and beautiful! She makes buttercream look as smooth as fondant. All of her cakes are fantastic and it was hard to choose what flavors we'd like but ended up with almond cake with vanilla buttercream and fresh strawberries and a chocolate cake with hazelnut buttercream. Both had rave reviews! Lara took inspiration from our invitations to design the cakes and they turned out beautifully. Highly recommend Fluffy Thoughts!

Lara Stuckey is phenomenal. Our wedding cake was absolutely fantastic and one of the best parts of our reception. She took the time to LISTEN to me and what I was looking for in a wedding cake. Our wedding incorporated a beach theme and the seashells and mermaid she created were beautiful. Many of the guests commented that the seashells looked real! The best part, however, was the way the caked tasted. I have been to so many weddings where the cake is absolutely awful and no one eats it. This cake was phenomenal - we went with yellow cake with fresh strawberries, as well as red velvet with cookies and cream filling. It went quickly, too. I didn't even get a whole piece - my aunt gave me a couple of bites of hers! I'm a pretty picky person and I honestly can't say enough good things about Lara. I'm moving away from the DC area for a few years and I can't wait to return to see how Fluffy Thoughts has grown and flourished!

Lara is fantastic to work with and her cakes are delicious and beautiful. She captured the theme of our wedding in the cake perfectly. We had a 4 tier, square cake with 2 different kinds of cake in it (cause I like white cake and he likes chocolate cake). Both were delicious (all the guests were raving). The only thing I would have changed is that the caterer didn't realize that there was more than one type of cake flavor and only ended up cutting the top 3 tiers (all red velvet cake), and the bottom layer was left untouched (white cake). So make sure your caterer knows what's inside your cake so you get to enjoy all of Lara's delicious work!

She is definitely a true artist, and I could not have had a better cake!

Lara was wonderful to work with and the cake was delicious! The tasting was a blast - I had my daughter with me too, and Lara was so patient while I let her taste the cakes, too. We had a three-tiered cake. The bottom tier was a pumpkin spice cake and the top two were carrot cake, with vines that matched our wedding invitations piped up the sides of the tiers. Lara used our invitations to create the design, and it was spot-on! Plus, our wedding was quite a distance from McLean (in Winchester, VA), and Lara was able to deliver that far - the day after a snowstorm, too! Thanks again for everything - our guests loved it!

One word - AMAZING!!!! Lara worked with my ideas to create two PERFECT cakes that were the talk of the night!! She emailed detailed sketches and was completely willing to help me find different ideas to create my dream cakes. One of which (the groom's cake) was a replica of a Nikon D700 camera and it was unbelievable! It even had a picture of my husband and I on the back of the cake where the LCD screen is! Incredibly detailed!!Her cakes are not only gorgeous, but taste delish! I highly recommend and will use Lara for any of my future cake needs! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!

I could not agree more with all of the other reviews. AMAZING, FANTASTIC, AWESOME TASTING EXPERIENCE. We went for a tasting at Lara's and immediately knew she was the caterer for us. First, she showed us a slide presentation of her work which was like watching an episode of Ace of Cakes. Every design was beautiful and unique. Second, we had our tasting. Before we arrived she set a bistro table for two with about 8 mini cakes and an egg dish with each of her buttercreams, fillings, ganache and toppings. We could take our fork and sample any different variety of combinations...DELICIOUS. When we were torn on flavors Lara suggested we do a wedding cake in one flavor and a sheet cake in the back with another. This also saved us money but Lara's prices are so reasonable (incredibly reasonable for the product recieved). But the thing that impressed me the most about Lara was design. I feel in love with a paper I used in my wedding invitations. I sent a picture to Lara and she designed the most beautiful cake...three tier chocolate ganache with a gold cut our of the scroll work that matched my invitations. She also added gold dots for a little more flourish. Finally, Lara wants everything to be perfect. I did not ask for a cake stand but when she came to deliver the cake she decided it needed a stand so she gave me one anyway. She was right. The cake and display were gorgeous and received rave reviews. You will not be dissapointed with Lara or her cakes. Wonderful to work with.

I can't express how happy we were with Fluffy Thoughts Cakes. My wife and I had found a specific cake we wanted for our wedding in a magazine. We had gone to a number of other local wedding cake makers and none of them were able to completely recreate the cake as we wanted it and also taste great. The tasting was convenient in allowing us to try many different variations. There were samples of each type of frosting/cake flavors, etc. so we got to mix and match rather than pick only a few standardized cakes. Fluffy Thoughts was so accommodating that they allowed us to take home extra samples to try with our families and to use a homemade liqueur to add a personal touch. The cake it self was DELICIOUS! At the wedding, the cake was a focal point and the look of it exceeded our expectations. Everyone at our wedding commented on how great the cake was. One guest, who has gone to a number of weddings, said it was the best wedding cake she had ever had. Fluffy Thoughts offered to bake a smaller version of the wedding cake for our one year anniversary so we don't have to eat frozen cake. We are already excited for our one year anniversary and we look forward to working with Fluffy Thoughts for futures events.

Lara and Fluffy Thoughts did an amazing job helping us create a personalized and wonderful wedding cake! The cake looked fantastic and really matched our whole theme very well! We chose three different flavors and the biggest problem was figuring out which one was our favorite! It may be the carrot cake! Our guests cannot stop raving about it. They keep asking if we have any left in our freezer to share! We cannot wait to host another event so we can use Fluffy Thoughts again! Thanks so much, Lara!

Fluffy thoughts is absolutely amazing. They created our wedding cake as well as the grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner. Both were absolutely amazing and delicious! For the rehearsal dinner we had them recreate my husbands 1987 camero. It looked exactly like it and people kept saying how it looked like it came off of a food network show! The Fluffy team is the absolute best and I am so happy that they had a part in our special day!

If you want not only a delicious cake, but a beautiful one.... you have to go with Fluffy Thoughts. Lara is a joy to work with!!! She was open to all of our ideas and really took time to understand the look and feel that we wanted for our cupcake cake. She even ordered a new cupcake stand to match the exact dimensions that we wanted. When I saw the cupcake cake, I was floored at how perfect she made it and how she followed every detailed instruction we gave (We had different flavors and colors of cupcakes and we had a specific layout that we wanted). The sugar flowers were amazing!!! People were drooling simply from the sight of the cake and kept asking me all night when we would serve them. When that time came, they were devoured and everyone really enjoyed the delicious cupcakes which were all filled with either passion fruit puree or hazelnut gnache. We finished off the top cake level the following day and it was delicious. Luckily we don't have to save that as Lara is so gracious that she gives us another cake on our anniversary date. We also had a raffle drawing for charity at our event and Lara was so giving to contribute a coupon for free cupcakes or cakes from Fluffy Thoughts.

The cake that Lara from Fluffy Thoughts made for my wedding was beyond what I had ever imagined. I didn't give her a specific design, just asked her to keep it ivory and swirls and dots. The cake blew me away! So many guests made comments that it was the most beautiful cake they had ever seen. My florist left flowers for Lara to put on top and around the cake and she did a great job with placement. We also did two flavors of cake for different layers and that went over well with guests.

OMG! Outstanding! We wanted cake that TASTED and LOOKED good and Lara delivered. We had so much fun at the tasting and came up with a slightly different twist on carrot cake --- which our guests loved! A great find and value!

Our experience with Fluffy Thoughts was great.... the tasting was really fun and Lara was so helpful with coming up with a good design for the cake. I showed her pictures of things I liked and she put the elements together to design the perfect cake for us. The flavors she offers are also fantastic and the finished product is delicious. We had banana cake with peanut butter and chocolate buttercream filling for two layers and then almond cake with blackberry and raspberry buttercream and passion fruit filling for the other two layers. It was so yummy and fun and original... unlike many boring wedding cakes I have eaten before! I wish I had had more of it on the actual wedding day... but we got caught up with dancing and having fun! We will definitely be ordering our 6" cake on our 1 year anniversary... already thinking about how delicious it will be! Also, for the area, her prices are extremely competitive which is another bonus :)

My cake was amazing!! Lara did such a great job. All the flavors came together and the decoration was beautiful. It was such a light tasting cake that everyone had room to eat it! People at the reception said it was one of the best wedding cakes they had ever had. The strawberry middle and passion fruit was so light and fluffy. It was just delicious!! Great job Lara!

WOW! That was my first response when I saw the magnificent cake that Lara created for my Dad's 75th birthday party. Obviously our event was not a wedding but we wanted something super special for this great occasion and Lara delivered beyond our expectations. We had a two tier square cake (similar to small wedding cake) with substantial scrollwork, ribbons and a very detailed top that depicted a religious symbol. The detail work was superb. Flavors were blackberry and lemon - taste was outstanding! We had over 60 guests for our party and at least half inquired as to where they could get a cake like that for their events. The other half were too busy eating. I selected Fluffy Thoughts because of the stellar reputation, the artistry of the cakes on the website and the realistic cost. While I had quotes that were less, I also had quotes that were significantly more - I was delighted to be able to get the quality of a Fluffy Thoughts cake - also, portion sizes were generous. I was working with a few family members that are very demanding and Lara's cake exceeded every one of their expectations. All contact with her was prompt, professional and she was willing to work with any request we made. You will not be disappointed or have to worry about how your special cake will turn out. Look no further - this is the vendor you want for your wedding or other upscale event!

Lara was friendly and helpful throughout the planning stages. She made us a delicious, gorgeous, raved-about wedding cake (half pistachio with rose buttercream, half carrot cake with lemon buttercream) with white chocolate "cigarillos" around the edges and raspberries on top. She was always willing to add or subtract elements, and had great ideas. She was extremely easy to work with, and we really enjoyed everything from the tasting (every option was divine) to the finished product (we will be ordering for our first anniversary). Love this place!

To quote my mother "They were not just super tasty. That doesn't begin to adequately describe the flavors. Each flavor of cake and icing was scrumptious and absolutely delicious. They looked lovely on the stand topped with the forgetmenots and tiny calle lillies and surrounded by real flowers. We decided to do a cupcake tower instead of a wedding cake. Lara scheduled a tasting which allowed us to taste about eight different types of cakes and about 15 types of frostings. She helped us select six cakes including marble, red velvet, carrot and chocolate (Lara has at least 3 types) and frostings including cream cheese, cookies and cream, chocolate, raspberry and vanilla for our cupcakes and discussed with us various options for decorations. Our cupcake tower was not only very beautiful, every cup cake was scruptious, there was a great variety for every palate and the cup cakes were extremely cost effective. We could not have been more pleased.

My cake from Fluffy Thoughts was AMAZING! Lara designed exactly what I wanted. She allowed me to have two different types of cake in one without any extra cost. EVERYONE said the loved the cake. I heard many guests saying it was the best wedding cake they had ever had. I will definitely use Fluffy Thoughts again!

Lara at Fluffy Thoughts is AMAZING! She created a Redskins grooms cake for our rehearsal dinner and made me the hit of the evening with the guys and girls alike! My husband was speechless when he saw it but after we both tasted it (red velvet with cookies and cream filling) we were both amazed! No one could deny that the design was flawless but generally cakes that look that great are lacking in taste, not the case with this Fluffy Thoughts cake! Lara was a pleasure to work with on selecting the design and flavors, and delivered the cake into DC with no problem! I would highly recommend her for all of your special occasion cake needs!

We were SO happy with Fluffy Thoughts! Lara is a sweet heart, and cake tasting turned out the be our favorite part of the planning process. It was a lot of fun to be able to put just the kind of cake flavors and look that we wanted together. We used the cake topper from my husbands parents wedding 44 years ago, and then put a copy of a photo with them cutting their cake next to it. The cake was beautiful, tasted great and arrived on time set up just like we had hoped. We already are looking forward to our 1 year "mini" cake...yummmmm...

Fluffy Thoughts was my favorite wedding vendor! Lara is so nice and flexible and her cakes taste amazing - moist and not too sweet. We couldnt just pick one flavor so we went with the "My Passion" combination and then fresh strawberries with white chocolate buttercream for the second flavor. Lara suggested that we have a fondant cake since my venue was outside but Im not a fan of fondant so we ended up doing a faux cake with the top layer being real and covered with fondant and having sheet cakes for the rest of the cake. No one was the wiser! The cake was beautiful and everyone loved the cake. We also asked Lara to do our favors which were french macarons. It was a last minute order but she had them ready on time and it turned out great. Im so glad that Lara was part of our event and I would recommend her to everyone.

From the tasting to the moment we saw our cake at the reception, Lara from Fluffy Thoughts was professional, impressive and DELICIOUS! We had one other tasting and it didn't even begin to compare with the tasting presentation that Lara held for us. My husband was able to combine the cream flavors he loved with the cake flavor he loved and made a completely unique cake. As we discussed how we wanted the cake to look we decided we wanted the intricate design from our invitation also on the cake. Lara was more than willing and happy to paint the design around the top of each layer of the 4 layer cake. It was UNBELIEVABLE. We had such trust and faith in Fluffy Thoughts ability that we made the cake the first thing our guests saw when they walked from the cocktail party to the reception. They came around a corner and there was the cake! Everyone had to walk by it to get in to the reception. It made a wonderful first impression. Finally, the cake was DELICIOUS! Everyone has complimented us on the cake and we can't wait to break in to that top layer! THANK YOU, Lara and team. I will never forget our wedding cake.

I first met Lara and was introduced to her delicious cakes at Bloomingdales where she was doing a cake tasting. I remember picking up one of her cards, thinking that there's no way her fancy cakes would be in my price range. Low and behold, when we met Lara for a personal tasting - she was so professional, creative and friendly - and her prices were totally reasonable! We went with a pistachio cake with pistachio meringues and hazlenut buttercream. The cake was beautiful and our guests really loved it. Lara, thank you so much for all you've done to make our wedding perfect!

I ordered my groom's cake from Lara at Fluffy Thoughts. I enjoyed working with her because she took time to listen to all my ideas for a groom's cake and then came up with two different designs, from which I was able to choose. I got to try many different flavors of cake at the tasting, and they were all delicious. Her cake has the homemade taste that I like so much. I was very happy with the final result, a "Lost" (my husband's favorite tv show) themed groom's cake, and my husband loved it as a surprise at the rehearsal dinner.

Fluffy Thoughts created a master piece of a wedding cake for my wedding, Lara sat with me and step by step we came up with a fabulous design for the wedding cake. I must say people are still talking about that cake a year into the marriage!

Working with Lara is a breeze! From a wedding planner's perspective, she's punctual on wedding days, prompt with correspondence, and makes brides very happy with her cakes. I've never seen an imperfect cake come from her and I'm sure she spends countless hours making each cake just how the bride wants it. The tastings are fun too -- she gives samples of about 8-10 flavors of cake and 8-10 flavors of fillings. Then you mix and match!
