her specialty is cupcakes, but she can do cookie favors and cake as well. cake decorating is definitely her forte, but the cakes, fillings, and frostings are all fresh and delicious as well. i gave her an inspiration image, and she took it from there, producing exactly what we wanted. i wanted cream cheese frosting for my outdoor, august wedding, and she agreed as we pushed the delivery back to early evening and promised a shady area for the cake table. while putting together the contract, she threw in fondant over the cream cheese frosting for free, as she wanted to make sure the cake stayed pretty and safe to eat. on top of it all, i found that she is definitely one of the most affordable bakers in the area.

Sarah made the greatest cake and cupcakes for our wedding! We met with Sarah for a tasting early in the planning process and weren't really sure how the cake would turn out (especially since I wanted a green cake!). The cake and cupcakes turned out awesome and they tasted as yummy as they looked. Everyone loved the the chocolate chip cupcakes!

The best part was the price! I really wanted a fondant cake, but hated how every bakery I went to wanted to charge us $7 a slice!! Sarah's prices were great! The fondant cake for 150 and 30 additional cupcakes ended up being half the price of what Torrance Bakery, King's Hawaiian and Rossmoor quoted us for a simple buttercream 3 tiered. Thank you, Sarah!

I have used Sarah for many occasions and have been nothing but a satisfied customer. She has done many cakes and cookie favors for friends bridal showers. Not only are they adorable, but they are delicious! Most recently, she did cupcakes for my wedding (200 people). The display was gorgeous and so were the cupcakes. Everyone kept talking about how great they tasted. In fact the next day at our brunch, people kept asking if they could have another cupcake for breakfast! Sarah is the sweetest person ever and she is very fair and honest. If you are not sure, just make an appointment and talk it over with her. You won't be disapointed.

My husband and I are cupcake fiends, so when we were looking for our wedding cake we tasted at places all over L.A. Sarah had by far the best tasting, freshest cupcakes at the best price. She was a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process, was quick to respond to emails and ideas, and the final product was incredible! She perfectly captured the style we were going for and all of our guests commented on how beautiful the cupcake designs turned out. And, if it's any indication of how good they were, the table was picked clean at the end of the night!

Sarah at For the Love of Sugar is amazing! From the initial contact with her to the day after the wedding, she was excellent to work with! We initially choose a few flavors and met at her house to sample her cupcakes. She’s definitely known for her cupcakes (her red velvet are to die for), wonderful frosting, and beautiful designs. We decided to do a small cutting cake on top of a cupcake tower for our wedding “cake.” She was full of suggestions and after we decided what we wanted, she spent time designing individual flowers and emailing pictures to me so that I could make a decision on the final product. With her, you are able to make design changes up to 2 weeks before the wedding (which is good since we booked well in advance and wasn’t sure what flavors and designs we wanted that early in the planning). We had a small wedding (70 people) and ordered 100 cupcakes. Family and friends were hunting us down the day after the wedding looking for extras, but there weren’t many. Definitely book Sarah – you won’t regret it! I will definitely use her again!

I was very interested in this company, but their customer service is non-existent. They don't answer their phone, return messages, or emails. It's like they don't want business. Very frustrating experience. Huge waste of time.

All I can say is THANK YOU SARAH!!!! I loved my wedding cake. Everyone was so impressed by all the details on the cupcakes that I think they forgot about the bride and groom. Everything was so yummy. I can't to use you at my baby shower. Hint Hint!!!

Sarah does amazing work! Her cupcakes are simply delicious and she's always such a pleasure to work with....both at the actual event and in the weeks leading up to it!
