Forest Park Golf Course

For the most part, my experience with Forest Park Golf Course was good. It is a great space with lots of natural light and great views of the golf course. The women who run the show, Amy & Nikki, are very helpful and are quick to respond to emails and phone calls. We did have some issues on the day of the reception, but my wedding planner contacted the regional manager and they gave us a generous refund. Be sure to ask if there are golfing events going on the day of your wedding, because we were told there wouldn't be any and that wasn't true! Parking was kind of a disaster.

Forest Park Golf Course is simply amazing when it comes to wedding receptions. Not only does the facility look stunningly elegant with the floor to ceiling windows on both sides of the ballroom, but the staff is so friendly and easy to work with. The other feature that makes forest park so amazing is the location. You are so close to all the best STL landmarks so photos are a breeze! You won't find a better wedding venue any where in St. Louis.

This is a great site for a wedding reception under 200. They will tell you it seats 250 – but that is tight! We had approx 175 guests and everyone had plenty of room to move, dance, mingle, etc. The grounds are beautiful and you have access to two large verandas on either side of the clubhouse. It is also one of the most reasonable venues to rent in Forest Park – a notoriously expensive wedding reception area. 
 


The clubhouse looked amazing. With all the windows around the clubhouse it sets the perfect atmosphere. The food that they served was really great, we had a ton of compliments on how nice everything was. My only issue was during dinner they closed the bar without announcing it. I knew the bar would be closed, but they wouldn’t even serve the guests tea or soda with their meal. They wouldn’t even get my Dad (who paid for the reception) a glass of tea. Other than that everything else was great.

Having our wedding at this particular venue was absolutely perfect. At first I was worried about how much it would cost to rent out but, it was actually affordable. We had about 150 guests so everyone was comfortable. I didn’t want to invite so many people so the venue would have reached capacity. Overall this was a perfect location!!
