It's a small shop, but you can tell that they only pick the best of best in dresses. Everything here is under a $1,000, so you know going in that they won't be up-selling you! They are two very sweet sisters who know what they are doing and are committed to finding you the perfect dress and they did!

I LOVED Forget-Me-Knots Bridal! Getting an appointment on a weekend is near impossible, no matter how early you try to book the appt. I tried multiple times and could only make it onto their wait list. Because of the size of the shop, they can only take one customer at a time. Also, they don't stay open late enough on weekdays for me to go after work but I FINALLY got a last-minute appt when I was able to leave work early on a Monday. I got along with the ladies very well. They gave me the details of each dress that I tried on (there aren't too many). Most if not all the dresses are Casablanca and the store specializes in dresses that are generally under $1.2K I believe. I think for the regular-priced dresses, I really wasn't that impressed. But I happen to fit into the "average" size for their off-the-rack sample dresses, which were pretty nice and heavily discounted! I fell in love with this one dress that had lace and beading and definitely LOOKED like an expensive dress that was under $600! What a STEAL! There was another dress that was plainer that was even more inexpensive that actually fit me really well. The ladies helped give me ideas on how to dress it up and told me it looked great, even though it would mean less revenue for them! Even though I had been to over 6 bridal shops by this point, I had not found more than 1 dress that I liked at each, so this was amazing! I ended up with the more expensive dress and literally walked out the door with my wedding dress and couldn't be happier! They also recommended Brigitte's dry cleaners for me in San Bruno, which gave me a great price for cleaning and alterations! Overall, it was a great experience and if I still lived in the city, I would've gone back to purchase my flower girl's dress there (they had a really cute selection).

I bought my jewelry from this vendor. The two sisters are the owners and they are very kind. I told her the style of my dress and she helped coordinate the accessories. She also helped me find jewelry for my bridesmaids too.

I visited three different stores while shopping for my dress and this store was by far the best I visited, so much so that I went back to buy my dress there even though I had found the same dress somewhere else and at a cheaper price. The personal attention and referrals they provided were well worth the additional cost. I am easily overwhelmed by the warehouse style stores; this store has a narrowed down selection, but they are all very beautiful and carefully chosen. I cannot stress enough the personal attention I received, when you are there, you are the focus of their attention. They looked out for every detail of preparing for the wedding and provided me with a great referral for a seamstress. They also have a great selection of jewelry, some of which is handmade by them. Some advice, when shopping for your dress, give yourself at least 8-9 months!

The ladies at forget me knot did an outstanding job. They are imaginative, meticulous and pleasant! From the initial planning process through the big day they were a joy to work with! They really know what they are doing and have great communication skills. Basically, you go in and pick a style of dress you like and then they order one tailor made to your size.

The staff here are really personable and willing to really be patient and provide helpful feedback when looking for dresses. This boutique is owned by two sisters who are great at what they do. The styles of wedding gowns they provide are beautiful and varied and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this boutique.

At long last I will review the store where I bought THE DRESS.
Basically, during your appointment at Forget-Me-Knots, the store is closed off to just you for that hour. Jenny and her sis own the store and work there. Jenny is the buyer, and even though the selection is relatively small, it is ridiculously well edited. I found a lot of beautiful, unique dresses here - many from the Casablanca line. My mom who is hard to please when it comes to dress quality and beading quality was even impressed and thought the dresses were better quality than some we saw for double the price.
The dress I ultimately picked out was $750, but they gave me 10% off (so $675) since I paid the entire cost up front! It was my favorite dress, too, of all the ones I saw. The store is super cute, in a little Victorian walk up. I was surprised that a bridal store in such an expensive part of town would be so cheap in price!
The service is super personalized. The dressing room is a curtain in the corner of the room. It was one of the few stores I went to where I was alone in the dressing area, and Jenny would just slip her hand inside the dressing room to take or give me dresses. It was nice to have privacy for once.
Most wedding stores have bridal accessories that are super marked up. Jenny makes her own jewelry, and it's extremely reasonably priced. I bought my earrings, necklace, bracelet, and hair pin here after looking in tons of bridal stores and online stores. Each piece was $30-$45.

This is where I ended up ordering my gown! I loved that this place is small and didn't have an overwhelming number of choices (maybe 30 well-selected gowns). The lighting is fantastic (daylight streaming through the front window). The salon also worked with me on the price, which was great, throwing in some of the custom modifications I wanted for free! I will ammend this review when I finally get the gown... :)
10/29/07 UPDATE: My dress came in EXACTLY when they said it would and it was exactly as I'd ordered!!! Great service, thank you!

The person was really rude over the phone. I called and asked about pricing and photographs and she pretty much yelled "no we do not" and then hung up the phone. Huh? I just asked two questions.

This is a small boutique store where the consultants give you tons of attention. The selection is somewhat limited, but the service was excellent and you have the entire place to yourself.
I worked with Jenny, and she let me pick and choose the gowns I wanted to try on, and gave me tips and advice on what the dress would look like in different lighting scenarios. Most of the dresses are Casablanca, which is one of my favorite lines and is also very affordable!

great service but only carries Casablanca gowns

Great wedding dresses as well as jewelry. At the time they offered bridesmaid dresses, but too bad they were discontinued.
