Chris was the perfect DJ. He made our wedding fun and laid back. I would have invited him to my wedding if he wasn't the one playing the music. So easy to work with even planning a wedding over 5 hours away. Everything ran smooth and he made it look so easy. He performed my ceremony music and receptions music. Top notch equipment and a very nice man. He is there to please the bride and groom and does an excellent job at it. He was there early to set up and even stayed late because the party kept going. You guys would be lucky to have him.

Chris is such a great DJ! He made sure to have all the music we wanted! He was so fun and kept everyone on the dance floor! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a professioal, flexible, fun, DJ to make sure you, your friends, and your family have a great time! I rate him 5 stars all around!

We loved working with Chris! Of all of our vendors, he way the easiest to work with, best at response time, and did everything we asked of him. He was there with suggestions when you needed them, and when our plans changed, even during the wedding, he rolled with it. He was even able to find less popular versions of songs that we wanted for the ceremony. After all was said and done, the only thing I regret is that our time on the dance floor was so short due to the way we planned out the ceremony, which Chris had nothing to do with. We've been acquainted with Chris for quite sometime and almost everyone in our circle of friends that has gotten married in the last few years had used Chris as their DJ. All the weddings have varied in style and size, yet no one has been disappointed. I highly recommend A Formal Affair!

We were beyond satisfied with Formal Affair DJ Services! Chris was very professional and easy to work with. He was always easy to reach, by both phone and email. My husband is Colombian, so we requested quite a few non-traditional wedding songs. Not only did Chris find all of the salsas, bachatas, and merengues we requested in advance, but he played them like a pro! He kept the reception moving and knew how to get people out on the dance floor. We all had an amazing time at the reception and we owe it to Chris!

I can't speak more highly of Formal Affair DJ Services. Chris, our DJ, was available to answer all of my emails, crazy questions and phone calls leading up to the big day. He showed up on time, was dressed professionally and did a great job interacting with our guests. He also made it clear up front that our wedding was about my husband and I and he was just there to enhance our day. We had complete freedom over the type of music that was played, when certain songs were played and the flow of the evening.

Chris did such a great job! He played all the music I wanted & even helped us out when no one could remember the line dances! He is very friendly & professional! He is a great dj & the perfect person to MC your wedding or special event!

We're not music people, so we were so glad to have found Chris. He took it all from our hands with just a couple of suggestions of things we generally like and dislike. He accommodated all of our very strange requests, from a specific version of the Tarantella (Italian wedding dance), to a spur of the moment download of a Bavarian Oktoberfest classic. He led us in the line dances, and just made the party happen. We had a small wedding of about 85 people, but most of the time, every single person was on the dance floor! Thanks, Chris!!

Chris really came through for both our ceremony and reception... it was HOT and a unique set up, and Chris was extremely professional and never complained once. We had to rearrange much of our ceremony and reception and Chris was pleasant and flexible...even offering suggestions to help us along the way! The guests enjoyed the music so much they didn't want it to stop! I would recommend Chris for any of your party or wedding needs - he was just fabulous!

It's been more than a week since our wedding, and people are still talking about how much fun they had at the reception! Chris provided amazing entertainment for our guests and kept everybody on the floor for the entire evening. Chris was professional in every way- including his dress, his manner, and his speaking voice. We would hire him again in a heartbeat and would gladly recommend him to family and friends.

He was everything we wanted in a DJ for our wedding reception and more. He made sure to have all of the songs that we wanted played ready to go, and made sure to take requests from the guests. He even used youtube to find one of our guest's very random song request. He makes sure that everyone is having a great time, and even gets out on the dance floor and has a good time himself! He had just the right amount of guest interaction to get everyone up and moving. I have been to some receptions where the DJ seems like he is trying to hard, Chris is a complete natural at what he does. He also emailed me the day before our wedding to ask if I wanted to use his free dance floor lights since we hadn't discussed having them before. The lights really made a difference! It's hard to to think of anything that hasn't already been said about how great Chris is! He is a fantastic person to work with and so knowledgeable about music. If you have the chance to hire him, don't hesitate.

Also, our wedding was actually in Columbia, SC not the upstate and he had no problem coming down for it.

Chris was such an awesome DJ! He was very professional and detail oriented, which we greatly appreciated. He played the music we requested and was fabulous announcing the "events" of the reception, such as introducing the wedding party, cake cutting, etc. He is such a nice person as well. His DJ services are much more affordable than others and I couldn't imagine anyone else doing a better job! Thanks Chris!!!

Chris Wagner provided the DJ service for our wedding on April 22, 2011 at the Embassy Suites on Verdae. Both my husband and I are from Bavaria and he incorporated German and Bavarian Songs for us. He found out quickly what the guests danced to most and he kept the crowd going and having fun until late into the night. Everyone had a great time and the dance floor rarely was empty. Wonderful, wonderful wedding reception thanks to Chris Wagner! Friends of ours actually asked Chris for his business card for a future event they will be having. We would hire Chris Wagner anytime again. Great service, very professional, very personable and reasonable all at the same time :-) Thanks Chris for making our day a wonderful memory!

Choosing a DJ is the MOST important part of planning your wedding reception. Your cake, food, flowers, etc will not help you make memories of your special day.
We got SO lucky finding Chris. During the planning he was professional without being stuffy, personable, laid back, flexible, and I never had a worry about him or what to expect. When our bridal party had a slight issue and were an hour late arriving, Chris kept our guests informed and entertained. Then when the party got going, he kept the dance floor full... ALL night! He had all of the music we requested, played it at appropriate times and brought the dancer out of people that didn't know they had it in them! I have to add, I had many of my female friends asking me whether he was "available" also. If I were to arrange another occasion appropriate for a DJ, I would reschedule it if Chris wasn't available. I hope this helps!

Formal Affairs was a wonderful wonderful DJ Service for my reception! Formal Affairs payed attention to my notes, "do-not-plays," and was in constant contact with me throughout the recpetion to make sure things were going the way I wanted. They also knew how to cater to the variety of ages that came to my recpetion. From Oldies, to Hip-Hop the choices made everyone stay on the dance floor and have a great time!

Chris Wagner of Formal Affair DJ Services was amazing! Chris handled all of the MC duties and remained flexible throughout my daughter's wedding! Once we handed Chris the list of introductory and first dance songs, he knew what the tone of the whole evening was to be and played the music accordingly. As the evening progressed, he was able to gauge the age of the remaining guests and adjusted the music accordingly - read - once the older people left, the music took on the perfect tone for the mostly college-aged crowd! The party was a hit!!! I highly recommend Formal Affair for any event as I trust his ability to keep the crowd happy and the party going! He is a professional who went above and beyond everything we expected from a DJ for our daughter's wedding!

He is an amazing DJ! My husband and I are hispanic and from Florida. We had our wedding in South Carolina and all of our friends and family had a blast with Chris. He found great music that fit our atmosphere and took any requests that we asked for. Nobody stopped dancing (for 3 hours!) He was also on hand last minute for our ceremony. Everything came out perfect and considering we didn't live in South Carolina, Chris was very good at responding to my emails and calls and flexible in meeting with us whenever we made visits prior to the wedding. I would recommend him to anyone!

Chris did a fabulous job at our wedding reception! He was great at adapting on the fly and making the night feel stress-free for me (the bride), and so much fun for everyone. He responds quickly to emails and is friendly to deal with. I would definitely recommend Chris to anyone who asked!

We hired Chris Wagner as our DJ for our wedding on June 26 2010. Chris was a great DJ. Of course he played the songs we asked him to play as well as took requests from the attendants. But he also got out in the crowd and was dancing and helping our guests to have a great time. If I ever have another event where I will need a DJ, I will ask Chris. Five Stars!

Hiring Chris was one of the BEST decisions we made about our wedding! He made it so much fun, and was so very helpful and sweet! He was even willing to Shag with my mom!!

Chris did a phenomenal job DJ’ing our wedding reception. He was there well before and after the event, nailed the pronunciation of everyone in our wedding party, and knew how to pace the party through music and announcing the highlights of the reception.

I even got a kick out of the fact that his mix of our final few songs had the dance floor shouting “One more song!" An encore for a DJ; not too shabby, Chris.

Chris made our event absolutely fantastic!! From the get-go, Chris was easy to work with, helpful, friendly, professional, and just a real down-to-earth family guy. This was one of the first things that we liked so much about him!

Our reception would not have been the same without Chris. One would think that being a DJ is as simple as playing songs from a play list, but it is a lot more than that. Chris was able to tell the mood of the event and know exactly which song to play to either slow things down or pick things back up! It really takes a talented and experienced DJ to be able to understand the dynamics of an event like that! And not only did he do a great job of playing music, but he did a great job of getting out there and having a good time with us and getting all of our guests excited! We truly enjoyed having him at the wedding!

We really can't say enough about the quality of services we received from Chris at Formal Affair. If you don't hire Chris for your event, you will REALLY be missing out!

I really cannot say enough positive things about Chris! My husband and I are so pleased with how well our wedding reception went, and it was largely thanks to him! We had been to far too many wedding receptions with TERRIBLE DJs, and were wary the same thing would happen to us. All my fears were assuaged when I met with Chris--he is professional, flexible, and both open to your own ideas and comes up with plenty of his own. My husband and I both have very picky tastes in music, and he adhered to our requests perfectly, while remaining flexible enough to let the crowd request songs, and gauging the crowd mentality and choosing songs that would best keep the energy up. We also asked for several slightly more obscure songs, and he happily found and played them for us. I cannot recommend Chris Wagner highly enough.

It is important to have a good DJ because i wanted the guests to have fun and enjoy their time at my wedding. the DJ i hired was very professional and he made sure everyone was having the time of their lives including us! He entertained us before the wedding to help us ease off the stress and excitement we encountered.

Chris was amazing from the get-go. He went out of his way to meet with us and accommodate our every need. At our wedding, Chris made the party. He played the right music at the right time, kept us on schedule (letting me know, as the bride, what needed to happen according to our timeline), and he would come out and dance with us! I could not imagine having anyone else at our wedding, other than Chris. He truly made our reception a celebration! Highly recommend Chris to every bride out there.

Chris was a great DJ at our reception. We had request each bridal party couple be introduced to a different song; Chris was more than happy to fulfill our request and ensure that each couple came out to the correct song my husband and I requested. Chris did a great job of keeping our family and friends dancing all through our reception. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ or price ;)

I was super nervous about finding the right DJ, because we have all been to those weddings where there is a DJ, yet no one really dances because he does not set the right mood. After talking with Chris and hearing about him I knew immediately he was not one of those DJ�s. Chris asked for a list of songs that we liked to get the feel of what we wanted and played what we liked at all the right times. With Chris you know you are taken care of and don�t have to worry about making sure everything happens you just get to enjoy yourself! I think deciding on a DJ was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding!

Chris was spectacular. Above all else, I wanted the music at my wedding to be excellent. Since I'm very picky about music, I made a list of about 50 songs that I wanted played and 50+ bands and songs that I did not want played. Chris acquired every song that I requested, never complained about the pages of instructions, and incorporated them into his playlist perfectly. We even had a last minute request (during the wedding), and he downloaded the song while performing!

Throughout the event, Chris was extremely professional and a lot of fun. He announced things without a hitch (and our groomsmen and bridesmaids did not have easy names), reminded us about timing, and helped us fit everything in during the reception. When the reception was supposed to end, the entire crowd was still dancing and energized thanks to Chris, so he stayed an extra hour (another last minute request) to allow our guests to continue dancing. It was a blast - I have never seen a crowd so excited to keep dancing.

I could honestly not imagine any dj doing a better job - for any price. I have been to numerous weddings and events, and I have never seen a more professional, fun, and flexible dj.

Anybody looking for a quality DJ for your big day Chris is your man. Chris is a true marksmen of his profession. We arrived from the ceremony and he was set up ready to go! He had our song list taken care of way be for the event. Work with us to make sure we got what we wanted. He's not only a DJ but a true pleasure to have as a guess. He interacted with everybody. Played the music and request everybody wanted. And made the day fun for everyone young and old. Ive had several of my guest complement, how good the DJ was! Thank you Chris keep doing what you do! Chris Wagner was pleasure to have as our DJ! I actually found him at my sister in law's wedding reception. We got his card and booked him right away! :) He did a great job, played all of our requested songs, had a microphone ready for the toasts, and for our friend to sing. Everything was very easy to set up with him. He is very friendly to work with and very professional. Everyone had a great time, he did a great job selecting songs that everyone loved!

Chris was wonderful, he really made our day special. he workied us down to the last minute right before the ceremony started. Everyone commented on how much they liked the dj and the music that was played. He is very personable and even taught us some dance moves. Chris was the DJ at our wedding. The music was great. Everyone had a lot of fun dancing. He also has wireless speakers so we had music outside for our cocktail hour and then inside for the reception. We only had to meet with him once and he met us at a place that was convenient for us. I highly recommend having him at your wedding.
