Fortune Cookie Soap
My wedding had an ocean theme, since we were married at the beach, and so at the reception, all our linens were a gorgeous violet/lapis blue, like deep water. We decorated our tables with shells and with the most exquisite and unique guest favors I have ever seen, Fortune Cookie Soap, in colors of lavender, pale yellow, blue, and pearly pink! I absolutely loved being able to get online and choose the colors and fragrances myself. They fit our ocean/Asian food theme beautifully, and they certainly looked elegant in their little clear take-out boxes. What I did not expect was their quality as a soap. I was mainly looking for something cute and unexpected for my guests, so I didn't really care if it was awesome soap for taking an actual bath. But oh my, these folks make some truly luxurious soap. My husband and I used a few different "flavors" on our honeymoon, and just lost ourselves in the incredibly sexy scent of lemongrass, lavender, and patchouli. We were sorry that we only brought three of them with us, because we would have used more! When I got home, I had quite a number of messages from guests raving about the soap, the soap, the soap! Three of my guests are planning weddings and wanted to know if they could borrow my idea! OF COURSE! Fortune Cookie Soaps will truly make your guests swoon.
They are a little bit hip, a little bit yupp, they are kind of genX, but they are mostly just themselves. They are family, they are friends and they are neighbors. They are not really New Age, they are not Republicans and they are not Democrats. They are clean. THEY ARE REALLY into making their own soaps and running their own business. They love to make soap: unique and tailored to fit any lifestyle, event, holiday, gift or celebration. Their soaps are fun to use and natural, made with 100% vegetable oils and are SLES/SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate/Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) free”. No animal testing; tested on themselves and their family. Their goal is to make the very best products. They strive to provide superb quality and customer service in order to build a relationship with you that keeps both coming back. They have a great time designing and inventing cool soap products that they believe you will really like to use – for yourself and as gifts for all occasions.
They started in a small California apartment five years ago; inventing gifts for family and friends. Today they are based in a warehouse in Tulsa, OK. They are still creating new gifts and sharing our inventions with everyone that likes unique, fun and refreshing stuff. They design and manufacture for a large bath and spa franchise company. That’s another story. They are always coming up with new ideas that they look forward to sharing with you.
Justin grew up in Oklahoma. His father was a artist/illustrator. Justin always liked to watch the drawing and painting that was going on in the house. Once taking primarily art classes in school, Justin decided that he was going to follow his fathers footsteps. Plans got a little pushed back when Justin decided to join the Marine Corps. After getting out of he Marines, He got a job with Gateway computers with graphic arts in mind and began college art and computer classes. After a couple of years in college, something began to interfere with his college schedule.. you guess’d right, it was his love for surfing.
After 10 + years in different “professional” fields, he started searching for something that would provide that creative outlet that he wanted. He found soap by accident while making it for fun for Christmas gifts for friends and family. Soap to Justin is a cross between painting, sculpting and science. We think that he may have an ego problem, because he truly believes that he can translate any idea into a soap. Justin loves working with custom orders and hearing the customers reactions to the soap that was made especially for them.
