We had an evening wedding with a reception from 8pm until midnight, in downtown Philadelphia, with heavy hors d'oeuvres instead of a sit down meal, and mostly young adult guests (20s-30s). Our reception was not traditional--we wanted it to have a real party feel for our friends and family. Obviously, our DJ choice would be the key component. As advertised, DJ Fred did not let us down. From our first meeting through the wedding night, DJ Fred was extremely passionate, professional and accommodating. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and he made our reception both classy and fun. When it was all said and done, we and our guests had a blast. A good portion of our guests were so riled up from the event that they went out afterwards--some until the sun came up. Mission accomplished. Fred Hart was a fantastic DJ. We first met him at a wedding expo. Many DJ companies were represented, but Fred was the only one who came across with class and professionalism. The others were fake entertainers, wielding props and zany antics designed to make fools of wedding guests. Fred had a great personality, a nice voice and had a sharp appearance. My husband and I LOVED DJ Fred. He was the easiest decision that we made throughout the whole planning process. DJ Fred went above and beyond our expectations. He was thorough with EVERY detail. He sent us a music list to choose our favorite songs, so that he could get an idea of the kind of music that my husband and I like. Most DJs will play what is popular at the time, but DJ Fred incorporated our favorites. He also made up a "Love Story". He sends the couple a questionnaire that each fills out and complies an amazing story out of each of their answers. Our story was incredible. He did such a great job. Another thing about him is that he does not make the wedding reception about him. Most DJs are very loud and try to be the life of the party. DJ Fred was the complete opposite. He made great introductions and spoke with great elegance. He made the reception about us, not about him.

Working with DJ Fred was a wonderful experience for our wedding reception. He genuinely listened to our requests and playlists. From the first time we spoke to Fredrick Hart, we knew he was our guy. My husband and I did most of our wedding planning for our PA wedding in Alaska due to the fact that he is military. Fredrick Hart was there for it all. He worked with our time difference and crazy schedule and was more helpful then my wedding coordinator! When we arrived in PA he came to our house and discussed his background, knowledge, and reccomendations with us before we paid him a dime.

Minor hiccups occured throughout the day with the bridal party and such but our Super DJ was unphased. I was not one of those brides who wanted to chose every song to be played. I hired a professional so I figured I would allow him to do his thing. Everything from his announcements to the music selection were absolutley fantastic! His selection of music catered to everyone in attendance and I have been hearing rave reviews about him from every guest! He was worth every penny and then some. To give him a 5 star rating is truly an understatement because he made our wedding reception everything I had dreamed of.

DJ Fred was a consumate professional from our very first meeting all the way through the end of our wedding reception. He was accomodating and helpful throughout our special day, even going the extra mile at the last minute to include an additional muscian who required a microphone. DJ Fred had a keen awareness of the room's acoustics and set the mood perfectly with our selection of music. I would reccomend his services.

DJ Fred did an incredible job at our wedding on 9/23/11 at Knowlton Mansion, in Philadelphia. He was professional from start to finish. We met with three DJs before making our decision. Fred was the only one who came to our home. He asked us about our vision for the evening, sharing his thoughts on effective ways to manage the music and sound at our venue. This was all before we had a signed contract.

Our wedding had been planned for outdoors but we ended up with a rainy day. Fred kept people moving with appropriate music. At the beginning of the evening he played music appealing to the older guests; then, he gradually played more contemporary music until we had only current top 40 hits (my request).

Fred has an impressive speaking voice and took pains to properly pronounce both our surnames. My last name is particularly difficult, and Fred may have been the first person to ever pronounce it properly in public (including my college graduation!). My husband is Portuguese, and we gave Fred several songs in that language, which he played at a perfect time. All our Portuguese relatives jumped up to dance.

Fred is a classy DJ, but he's also a classy person. He's extremely professional, but he'll also show your guests an awesome time. I married at an older age (40), but if you're a young bride and want to find a DJ both you and your parents will like, I highly recommend Fred. And if you're an "older" person like me, you'll like dealing with someone you know will show up on time, dress neatly, learn your parents' names and treat them accordingly, etc. I never worried about anything having to do with Fred. I called him from time to time with questions about the venue--many things not having to do with music but about food, the order of the ceremony, etc.--and he always responded respectfully and quickly.

DJ Fred was wonderful!! Classy, professional, enthusiastic, and skilled. ALL of our quests have told us how much they truly enjoyed our wedding! We had a number of our guests tell us how wonderful they thought the dinner music was. And our reception spoke for itself - a perfect mix of "classics" and more modern dance songs had all but a handful of our guests on the dance floor! From the first second we met Fred at our lengthy consultation, we knew he was different than "the rest". When we talked with him, we really felt like he was listening to our needs and visions for our wedding day. His dedication to his profession can't be topped. He takes an amazing amount of pride in his work, and it really showed at our wedding. The whole process was easy and comfortable. We always felt like we were in good hands and that our stresses over wedding planning could be directed elsewhere. He was quick to get back to us, whenever we contacted him, and he made us feel like his top priority despite having many other costumers. Our venue was a unique two room set up reception with an outdoor ceremony. He never faltered, and was able to get people on the dance floor despite having a very unique floorplan. Many of our guests commented on his fun, easy going nature. Upon coming home from our honeymoon, we had an amazing surprise awaiting us. He had taken a 1 hour+ video of our ceremony and dance floor action. Not having a videographer, it was an extremely thoughtful act. We would highly recommend his services if you are looking for someone who will treat your wedding as if it were his own. He made an amazing effort to direct attention away from him, and place the focus on the bride and groom. So if you are looking to pay extra for cheesy party favors and a DJ that "steals" the spotlight then this is not your guy. Fred is professional in everyway. I recently had the pleasure of working with DJ Fred because we hired him as a wedding DJ. Like you, I was a bride searching for the perfect DJ to provide services for my perfect day. I read through what felt like a ton of comments, and DJ Fred was the stand out because adjectives like: classy, professional, responsive kept repeating…for good reason. My initial correspondence with DJ Fred was very pleasant because he took the time to talk and LISTEN. He was beyond personable and charismatic, and before I knew it, we had already spent an hour chatting. All of our future interactions were like this. No request was every too small or too big. I was his “queen” for the day! So besides all of the above accolades, let me tell you how our wedding day went... FLAWLESSLY! After over a year of planning, everything rushes at once and you are now a part of a whirlwind that is your wedding day. There were times that I tried to step back and appreciate the moment, but it’s difficult to take everything in. So with everything going on around me and my new hubby, there were two things that I am forever grateful that DJ Fred provide to me: Piece of mind and a fabulous time! DJ Fred is based out of Philadelphia, which was almost 3 hours away and in a completely different state then my wedding venue- I was truly worried that I would have to settle for a local Delaware DJ(not the best selection). However DJ Fred, made the trip, was punctual and immediately set up for our outside ceremony and inside reception. He provided all state of the art equipment, i.e. cordless mics, lighting systems. It was such a relief to have that much trust in a vendor, he beyond delivered! Also DJ Fred is a wedding DJ only---note to other brides, this is a must in a DJ. You do not want someone who does this on the side or at similar kinds of events, because weddings are beast of their own. There is a certain finesse and amount of class needed for such a special event. I found DJ Fred to look the part too (very clean cut and professional), since we were having the wedding at our families country club. ALL of our quests have been talking about how “fun” our wedding was…not the food, not the flowers, not the favors, not the placement cards. The wedding held the same strong momentum throughout its duration, truly because of the music selection, which got everyone on the dance floor- oldies my grandmom loved and fresh current music I listen to now. I guess what I loved the most was how natural the night flowed- there were no forced games or tacky dances, it was just good music for good times. The first thing my mom said to me once we returned from our honeymoon and were reminiscing about the day, was how fabulous DJ Fred was and how much our family had fun dancing. My friends are all requesting his name. I can truly say with 110% confidence, DJ Fred made my wedding day what it was- a moment in time that I, with my husband, family and friends, will forever remember as one of the happiest and entertaining days of my life!

DJ Fred is professional, experienced and classy! After our first meeting with him we knew that the stress of making the most important decision for our reception was done! He accommodated all of our requests, even the last minute changes, with a smile on his face. We gave him a list of about 25 songs and told him to fill in the gaps keeping within the genres/artists we selected and the songs he chose were perfect! We were so impressed with the lights that he set up which really enhanced the room. All of our guests commented on how great the music was and were so surprised by how discreet he was in packing the dance floor. DJ Fred gets the job done by playing music, which is why he is worth every penny, by far the best investment we made.

Wedding DJ's have a bad reputation primarily because of wedding DJ's. Fred Hart is a refreshing exception. We can't recommend his services enough. He really was worth every penny! Every remark to us and our friends concerning the reception were variations of "I can't believe how much fun we had." Given the quality of our reception, his price was outrageously low! If you want a professional wedding DJ for your wedding, you cannot do better.

Dj Fred is absolutely phenomenal. As a bride it is difficult to juggle all the different decisions that need to be made, you have to prioritize. If I have one piece of advise it is that your DJ needs to be one of your priorities. No one will remember your table clothes or your flowers. They remember their experience and the DJ sets the entire feel of your night. DJ Fred made our wedding AMAZING. He somehow lead the night without being an intrusive part of it. EVERY song we asked for was played and from our short list of requests he somehow discovered all our favorite songs without being told. My only complaint is that I love every song and couldn't sit because I had to dance! He had everyone on the dance floor by sheer music genius instead of calling people out. His timing was perfect and made my job as a bride stress free. After a lot of money spent on the wedding my husband and I realized something... value exceeds cost...what you get for what you spend is something to notice

Fred set the mood just right throughout our whole night. His charm took over the room. Cocktail hour and the beginning of the reception were classy and elegant. Then, when it was time to celebrate, my biggest request was to keep the dance floor packed, and that's exactly what he did.
When our magical night had come to an end...I had one word...PERFECTION.

After returning from my honeymoom, I am still receiving compliments as to how much fun was had at my wedding by all. Well worth the expense!

We were blown away by a DJ Fred wedding several years ago and knew someday that he would do ours. Our big day arrived this past Saturday and he far and away exceeded our heightened expectations.

First, let us say that DJ Fred traveled over 100 miles to our event at The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, PA. That effort, in and of itself, made us feel pretty special.

Once there, he worked our cocktail hour and reception to perfection. Each and every single name was pronounced flawlessly when announcing the bridal party and he nailed our entrance, which we wanted to occur simultaneously with a specific point in a song. Our dance floor was packed the entire night.

If you are looking for a run-of-the-mill DJ that seeks the limelight with cheesy props and other gimmicks, then DJ Fred is not for you.

If you are looking for a DJ that exudes professionalism through his demeanor and presence and measures his success based on how well he exceeds your expectations, then DJ Fred is for you.

We would highly recommend DJ Fred and could not have imagined our event without him!

Where do i begin? i'm sorry the ratings stars only go as high as 5, because i would double that in a heartbeat.

The first time i talked to Fred on the phone, we chatted for 2 hours about music, weddings, and lots of other stuff. Fred is one of the most charming and personable men i've ever met, and during our first phone call he made me feel like i was the most important person on earth, which of course impressed me. after that, Fred wanted to meet us in person, so he took the time (and paid that stupid toll) to drive over the bridge from Jersey to spend time with us in our home. Again, SUPER IMPRESSED. i don't know how many other weddings Fred was booking at that particular time, but he made us feel like ours was the only one that mattered to him. And once the time came for us to sit down and hash out the details, Fred made the time to call me on MY schedule and make sure that everything was covered right down to the order of the attendants' entrances and the pronounciation of everyone's names (this was another thing that knocked my socks off... Fred pronounced EVERYONE'S names correctly, including a bridesmaid with a Hebrew name and a French best man!).

The day of the wedding, when i was at my most frazzled and there were a zillion things going on, Fred came over to us and just said "...Smile. Everything is perfect." and i totally believed him, because he made sure that everything WAS perfect. he even showed up super early (even before me!) to get set up and make sure that the sound and his setups were exactly the way they should be. At the start of the reception, Fred broke the ice without being obnoxious... he came up with a fun, creative way to get everyone to claim a centerpiece, and the laughter and applause started immediately... at that point, i breathed yet another Fred Hart-sponsored sigh of relief.

The music throughout the day was perfectly timed, not too loud, and EXACTLY what we all wanted to hear. Fred played a great mix of fun rock songs from the 60s and 70s, lovely slow songs that EVERYONE danced to, and every single song that i had requested in the weeks leading up to the big day.

Fred, i hope you read this, because i can't thank you enough for making my wedding day better than i could have ever planned for. Your sincerity, professionalism, kindness (and calmness), and pure sense of joy were awesome. You made me feel at ease and it was because i was so relaxed that i was really able to have a great time and not worry about anything. You told me you had it covered, and you did not disappoint. I will be recommending you again and again to my friends, family, strangers on the street, cats, dogs, sheep, and anyone else who will take the time to listen to me sing your praises.

We could not have asked for a better DJ than Fred. He was professional and elegant, his equipment was set up neatly, he was extremely accommodating, played all of our requests, and was able to adjust flawlessly to a few last minute changes. Fred also has an incredible presence as an emcee, and his voice is amazing.

Fred was one of the only DJ's I spoke with that didn't try to make me choose music based on what they had available, or what they thought would "work". Fred's motto was "it's your wedding" and he made our wedding amazing. He was able to download a few hard to find songs, and his beat-mixing techniques made songs flow together seamlessly so the dance floor didn't stop for a minute! Even when we asked him to change the father/daughter song with literally a minute's notice, he was able to download the song and switch it in with out missing a beat.

We also opted to do the "Love Story" offering in which Fred tells the bride and groom's personal story of how they met, fell in love, and eventually got married. Our guests are still raving about it. It was funny, sentimental, and really made our wedding reception so much more personal and tailored. I would highly recommend it for those considering the option.

Overall, we are thrilled with Fred's work and would recommend him to anyone who wants their wedding to be a classy, memorable event.

Hiring DJ Fred was one of our single best wedding decisions. We were on a budget, so the price was a huge splurge, but we are so glad we decided to invest in a talented DJ. Unlike flowers or decorations, the DJ can make or break a wedding, and DJ Fred made our evening incredible from start to finish.

Where to begin? Our ceremony music was perfect. The introductions of family/bridal party and the toasts were flawlessly executed. Although Fred had a ton of long foreign names to pronounce, he didn’t make a single mistake. He guided us and our guests through the event, making everyone feel welcome and setting the mood for an amazing night. As we moved from room to room for introductions, dinner, dancing, etc, Fred had equipment ready in each one, which was key to the smooth flow of the evening.

We come from two different cultures and religions, resulting in a unique mix of guests at the wedding. Fred was not fazed by this challenge, moving seamlessly from greeting my parents and their friends in Russian to presiding over the hora. Our guests did have one thing in common: they were not big dancers. But somehow, Fred knew just what to play to get everyone on the dance floor.

Our favorite moments from the wedding were all facilitated by DJ Fred: walking down the aisle to the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, hoisted up in the air during the hora, dancing with our friends and family…we could go on for a while. We truly could not be happier with Fred’s performance.

I would totally recommend DJ Fred. Although he is more expensive than most DJ's, the price matches his talent. A handful of people at my wedding commented on how good he was. More specifically people were impressed with his professionalism and his announcing voice. He came to the reception well prepared. He knew how to pronounce everyone's name and knew the correct sequence of events. He could read the crowd and therefore knew when it was appropriate to play fast songs vs. slow songs, new songs vs. older songs, etc. We are so glad that we went with him!

My husband and I wanted a wedding reception where everyone had a great time and danced but at the same time reflective of our personalities and music tastes. We spent a lot of time thinking about the music playlist but even MORE time interviewing DJ companies that understood our vision and wanted to follow OUR expectations and not deliver predetermined schtick. DJ Frederick Hart is a true professional who is extremely knowledgable in every aspect of music entertainment and wedding reception direction. He truly loves what he does and it shows. I saw several entertainers at a bridal show at the Marriott but he stood out as being the most refined and had the best voice and wasn't corny (no group line dances and props / costumes). He impressed me on the spot and I knew that I had to have him for my wedding! Throughout the planning process, he handled everything with efficiency and personalized customization that was far beyond what I had expected. DJ Fred confidently managed every detail from beginning to end with a easy and time conscious flow incorporating all of the special songs and announcements that we talked about and he did so with a seamless, relaxed and natural delivery. The music selections were absolutely perfect and everyone danced the night away (and it was SUNDAY!). Many of my guests told me that it was the best reception that they've attended. We hired DJ Fred for our wedding on May 30, 2010. I first met DJ Fred at a bridal show in Dover over 1 year ago, and after seeing him perform and meeting him I knew that he would be perfect for our wedding! We wanted to have a great party and for all our guests to have a wonderful time dancing, but we also wanted it to be elegant and tasteful. I didn't want my grandparents and older family members to be offended/shocked by the DJ or music. DJ Fred really made this vision come to life! From the moment the music started playing, the dance floor was packed! Everyone was dancing, even our grandparents and the minister! The music selection appealed to everyone, and he kept the flow of the whole event going nicely. He provided the music and sound system for our outdoor ceremony as well. Everyone complimented us on much fun the wedding was and where we found such a great DJ! We would definitely recommend him to any other brides and grooms to be! DJ Fred was so much more than just a DJ- he really kept the whole event going as well. His price was very reasonable, he even offered us a Sunday and military discount! I hired DJ Frederick Hart after seeing him DJ the wedding of one of my BMs last year. He was awesome because he didn't do any of the annoying and corny things that we have seen before that you EXPECT at a wedding (using toys / props, playing line dances, taking over the party, screaming on the microphone all of the time, and forcing the guests to scream back). At first my only concern was his price - he was almost double the price of the companies that my facility recommended. In the end, he was a bargain. He was very professional, perfectly attired, first class elegant, and attentive to my expectations. We gave him total control over the music playlist and he just took over and used his skill and experience and got everyone dancing....I mean EVERYONE! I was on the dance floor dancing like mad with my parents, my grandparents, my cousins, my friends, and my little nieces - ALL AT THE SAME TIME! His song selections were a perfect blend to reach through to all ages. The music can make or break a wedding reception and I can confidently say that DJ Frederick made the party. The "LOVE STORY" was a great idea to share our history to all of our guests. It was the most unique part of our reception that no one else had ever seen or heard before. DJ Fred was recommended by our facility, photographer, and videographer and lived up to all of the hype. He was early to set up, dressed to the nines (the black and white wing tips added a touch of class), and ready to do his thing. Since he's the expert, I let him pick all of the music and he kept everyone dancing and happy. Many of my guests raved about his playlist and how he never tried to force them onto the dance floor. He was cool, confident, and classy - the perfect fit for the atmosphere I wanted to create. $$$$ but WELL worth it since I only had one chance to get it right.

My husband and I hired DJ Fred for our wedding on May 8th, 2010. We interviewed several others, but felt they were priced too high for what they offered ($900-$1200 for a guy who sounds like a boxing announcer or is waaaayyy too serious about getting people on the dance floor). Fred was the perfect mix of what we were looking for. VERY professional, both in personal manner and dress, excellent manners during the ceremony and reception, wonderful speaking voice. We really liked him right away.

He was able to show pictures and video of his performances so that we could see him in action, which was nice. We had our wedding at Glen Foerd, and we was aptly equipped to bring music to all the rooms of the house, which had to be done wirelessly. He was not lugging around laptops or "portable" speakers. He was not pushy about what we should play, or how we wanted the wedding to be (again, perhaps not all brides want the entire wedding to be a dance party!)
DJ Fred was really very wonderful, an excellent addition to our wedding. We gave him free reign with all the songs and he made excellent choices for the entire evening, from isle walk to end of the night songs.

He is a consumate professional and I would sing his praises to anyone who might listen! We paid only slightly above our budget for 5 hours and that was a bargin! I can't imagine what the $900 DJ with the speakers on wheels would have sounded like.

P.S.- as a bonus for us, he shot video of the wedding! (we did not have a videographer) It was such a nice suprise, since I was so focused on the groom to be, I never heard the minister, or noticed anyone else around me!

Fred was outstanding. He did not try to take over the wedding. He read the crowd well and kept the right music going to help us and our guests have the most fun...the dance floor was full all night! His first point, up front, is that the wedding is about the bride and groom, not him and he holds true to his word. He is very easy to work with, is priced very well with the competition, and most importantly made it a great wedding for us. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

After getting lots of DJ advice from my married friends and not finding the right one, I asked OTHER wedding experts and my photographer AND videographer both said that DJ Fred Hart was the best in the business for an elegant wedding reception. His online reviews were stellar and after meeting with him we saw why...he had 30 DVDs of different weddings and thousands of photos. He even showed us pictures of OTHER djs for comparison. We were hooked from the start with his demeanor, diction, and obvious dediciation to MY vision for the reception. It certainly helped that he was a wedding expert who only does weddings.

With his guidance and direction, the wedding reception was exactly what I was expecting (and THEN SOME!) He played every single song from my rather large play list in a way that heightened the impact and kept my guests dancing and having a great time without ingratiating himself to the spotlight and resorting to silly games or stereotypical DJ antics to keep them enthused. I guess the best endorsement is that when he said 'goodnight' at 12 there were just as many guest there as at the beginning! Hiring DJ Fred was the best investment to ensure my perfect wedding reception - he was worth every penny!

Frederick Hart Entertainment (DJ Fred) was an investment well worth his fee. After seeing so many DJs at so many bridal shows and weddings we were convinced that his approach (classy and not 'dj-centric') was exactly what we were looking for. When he came to meet us (at OUR house, even) he explained in great detail the nuances of creating an atmosphere of enthusiastic dancing by using a great dance set of infectious fun music rather than 'working the crowd' on the microphone and making himself the center of attention like so many 'Mr. Microphone' djs that we saw before. His goal was to make US the special stars of the show. The reception was beyond perfect...so many guests commented that my wedding was the best and most fun that they had ever been to. DJ Fred is the one to thank for that. He even played all of the Greek music we requested and even learned the words to welcome us and distant family in both languages. Having DJ Fred as our DJ and Emcee was the best decision that we made for our wedding. He not only surpassed our expectations but he also managed to maintain sanity in what could have been a wreck of a day. He was attentive, professional, a music expert, and provided us an elegant yet very fun musical ambience for our day. He also practiced and pronounced all the bridal party's names correctly (our names get butchered all the time) and greeted our guests in the 3 languages that we and our guests speak.

His accomodation to our situation was particularly notable. We live in Germany and he really worked around the distance and time difference which proved troublesome for some other services providers that we had considered working with.

My comments alone can’t provide you a full impression of the quality of DJ Fred’s service. Many guests (old and young) came up to us at various points of the wedding and afterwards to tell us comments such as, “DJ Fred really guided the day without stealing the spotlight like so many other DJ’s do,” and “Where did you find your DJ? He’s great!”.

As a young couple, we were originally planning to rent some speakers and have our music be directed by an IPod, but DJ Fred convinced us otherwise (Thank God!). He not only provided a variety of music to accommodate the shifting moods, emotions of the day, and our internationality, but his emceeing also directed people so they didn’t feel like herded cattle guided by our wedding coordinator and servers.

He arrived over an hour early and all of his equipment was set up and all sound checks were finished before we were even ready! He even worked with our catering staff and wedding coordinator to adjust music to sudden changes in the day's schedule. I know that with his services at our wedding, stress was avoided and we had a PERFECT and WONDERFUL wedding day. =D You will not regret having DJ Fred at your wedding.

DJ Fred came in at the last minute for us, replacing a dj who wasn't capable of handling our venue, and did a great job.

Fred Hart was the most wonderful DJ I could have asked for to entertain on our most special day. From the very first meeting he was upfront about the quality of services he provides and how he likes to run his events. We were very pleased with his work. From the start of the reception he engaged our guests by telling them our "love story", which my husband and I wrote separately and Fred melded together into a single story. This not only entertained our guests, but helped them get to know our relationship from the first meeting through the engagement. He ran the rest of the event smoothly and seamlessly, maximizing the amount of dance time we had for people to enjoy. Our guests definitely took advantage of that! The dance floor was packed the entire time, even people that don't normally dance got out there! What makes Fred stand out from other DJs is that he neat, professional, responsive, and will not turn your special day into some cheesy prop party. If you don't care much about quality and are just looking for a DJ to squeeze into your budget, Fred is not your man. But if you are willing to pay a little extra for a professional who knows how to make the celebration enjoyable for everyone without all the gimmicks, then do not hesitate to contact Fred. You will not regret it.

My husband and I - and our guests! - have only wonderful things to say about Fred. From my first conversation with Fred on the phone, I was excited to have heard him describe exactly the types of things I was looking for - a sophisticated and professional attention to detail, and a thoughtfulness toward not only bride and groom, but for guests. Just as importantly, he explained what gimmicks and techniques he would never put into practice and why... Our wedding was now a week ago and I have been looking forward to writing about how seamless the event felt, how affective Fred's music selections and organization were, and how wonderful it was to see my non-dancing friends up on the dancefloor, unable to help themselves! I certainly cannot overlook his flawless pronunciation of Polish last names, which impressed the family very much. Fred was pleasant, extremely professional, and flexible. When our scheduled reception time came to a close, and the dancefloor was still full of people wanting music, he was not only willing but enthusiastic about extending our time and working for another half hour! He created an atmosphere that made our grandparents, parents, and friends comfortable and excited to celebrate. I could go on... but I feel that I can summarize our experience in saying we could not have found a better DJ, we could not have been happier with Fred and he is more than worth his fee!

From the start, I knew that entertainment would be a big issue since I wanted a DJ and Dan wanted a band. He was concerned with how they used the microphone - more like a "carnival barker" announcing a blue light special or the Sixers' announcer at a game. The Union League recommended DJ Fred and told about his awesome announcer's voice that brought a level of sophistication to the reception which was exactly what I wanted and thankfully he was available for our date. Dan was at ease with Fred during our first meeting once we saw DVD samples of him in action at other Union League receptions which sold us completely.

His approach was a perfect match for the ambiance of the U.L. and precisely what we expected. The dance floor was full long before dinner ended (we didn't break up the courses with dance sets) and stayed full all night. Everyone from my young cousins in their teens to Dan's grandparents were on the dance floor all night. Fred never tried to be the center of attention or take over the spotlight. He ensured that all of the announcements were clear, concise, and spoken with the right amount of enthusiasm to be exciting but still classy. He was the icing on the cake and came through big time!

From the minute we decided to use DJ Fred for our wedding, we knew we'd made the right decision. He listened to what we wanted and vowed to execute accordingly. He contacted me not once but TWICE before the wedding to make sure that he had the pronunciations correct for the wedding party introductions, and was able to give some input as far as how to do things. Additionally, he took the list of songs we provided him and played most of those that we'd requested, but most importantly he used his talent and experience to keep the dance floor PACKED (and I mean packed!) all night. He didn't play any of the cheesy linedance songs or anything like that, and honored our "Do Not Play" list to the fullest. I have received comments from a significant number of guests about how much fun they had, and my husband and I both had a blast as well, which is saying alot considering he's not usually out on the dance floor! Picking Fred as our DJ and Emcee was critical to our reception being
simply perfect. When we first saw him at a bridal show in January, his
demeanor and speech both told us that he was the perfect fit for the
vision that I had for my reception (sophisticated but still FUN!). He
delivered everything beyond what we were expecting. We didn't pick a
single song (except our first dance and parent dances) and gave him
complete control of the playlist which he handled perfectly - the dance
floor was packed before dinner ended! Fred's years of experience and
skill as a "Wedding ONLY" DJ was so critical to the success of the
party. His prices were considerably more than the other estimates we
received but he was without a doubt worth every penny. We couldn't
thank him enough!

Working with Fred was a pleasure from the first contact that he intiated more than a year ago until the last dance of the evening. There were so many details that I was concerned with preparing the perfect wedding reception but I knew that with him in charge, entertainment wouldn't be a worry. He closely followed my playlist and added his own songs that perfectly enhanced the dance floor's energy level and kept it packed. So packed that people were dancing on the carpet! We had a very long list of songs NOT to play because I didn't want line dances or group dances and he adhered to that list even though I know at least four of the songs were requested. He never said "the bride doesn't want that song"...he simply lied and said that he didn't have any rap music or "The Macarena". Some of Chuck's family had never been to a wedding that didn't have inflatable props, costumes, and toys so he was concerned that they wouldn't have a good time and they didn't...THEY HAD A GREAT TIME!!! The music made the party and Fred made the party elegant. He never once stole the spotlight, made a spectacle of himself, or forced people to dance.

He even sent us some great photos that he took during the evening (that we received in an email just before we left on our honeymoon) that were the first precious memories of the reception. We looked at them continuously while in Hawaii. When we got back we found that he sent a CD of the cocktail hour music that we picked but didn't hear because we were at the Art Museum taking pictures during cocktail hour.

Fred was (and IS) a great guy, a superb emcee and announcer, and the classiest DJ that Chuck and I (and most of our guests) have ever seen. He has our appreciation and the strongest endorsment possible. I'm grateful to the Crown Plaza for recommending him to us.

DJ Fred came as a recommendation from family and we are so glad we booked him. He is professional, dedicated, on time, and easy to work with. He plays a good mix of old music and new music. He works with the crowd so the dance floor is always packed. He also makes sure music you don't want to hear is not played even if someone requests it. DJ Frederick Hart was one of the most pivotal elements of our wedding and performed his service with great professionalism. He was able to take our vision of the event and translate it into music. Let me start of by saying Fred Hart is amazing! My husband and I were married on August 21, and to this day we are still getting compliments on how great the music was. Ww were very skeptical while looking at DJ's versus bands becasue we were trying to avoid any unecessary talking or props that some DJ's like to pull out, Fred was totally opposite of this, he really put us at ease and showed us video of other weddings he had done in the past. I am happy to say that Frederick Hart was the DJ at my wedding and I cannot even begin to find the words to describe the amazing job he did. My wife and I got so many compliments and fevered exclamations from of our nonstop-dancing family members and friends that our heads were spinning: ("I LOVE THIS SONG!", "Did YOU pick this song??", "This DJ is AWESOME!", etc etc). With so many things we were worried about, we were very relieved that we never had to worry about the music. Fred had our list, played the songs we wanted played, never played any of the songs we *didn't* want played, and can read a crowd perfectly to pick song after song that will keep the crowd dancing and singing along ecstatically. It truly was, easily, the best DJ experience I've ever witnessed, and I count myself extremely lucky to have had it been MY wedding.

Phenomenal. Our DJ (Fred Hart) played every song from my playlist and was able to avoid all of the songs on my DON'T PLAY list even though I know many people requested them. He was able to find the wedding song of my granparents who got married in 1949 and made a customized dedication that explained the history of the song and its' meaning to my grandparents. He was very professional and very easy to communicate with. A+.

Let me start by saying Fred is an impeccable DJ. Not for one reason, but for many. Music was a major cornerstone to our wedding, and with every consideration we had regarding the music, DJ Fred exceeded our expectations and contributed so much to such an important day!

In the beginning deciding between a DJ or live band was a tough one for us. We were planning a formal, detail oriented wedding, and it seemed like a natural choice to have a live band. Everyone told us we needed a band to entertain our guests and get them excited to dance. With Fred, that is simply not the case! Fred got the energy flowing at our reception and kept a great vibe in the room the entire night. All I remember is dancing at my wedding, and so do our guests! We didn’t want cheesy DJ antics or goofy props handed out at our wedding to get our guests on the floor. We wanted everything to flow naturally and be totally classy, and Fred made that happen. Beyond that, the sound quality was superb and his speakers and station were completely non invasive to our event. There was no need to spend the extra cost associated with a live band when you can have Fred.

Furthermore, my husband and I are lovers of music and spent months hand picking certain songs we wanted to hear at our wedding. Even with the best planning, it is imperative to have a DJ that knows how to read a crowd and merge what the guests want with what the bride and groom want. Fred arranged the music we selected in conjunction with music he selected for us based on what he knew we liked to match the mood of the crowd and the moment. We ended up hearing only music we loved – some we picked, some we didn’t. Even if you are couple that wants to rely totally on the DJ to pick the music and make your reception a good time, Fred is your man! He understands the dynamics of a diverse crowd and a great party.

I contacted all of the companies on the vendor list at Glen Foerd Mansion and hired Fredeick Hart Entertainment. In the two years since our wedding, Rick and I have been to at least 8 weddings and the only one that was as fun was my MOH's wedding because she also used DJ Fred. He is the 'creme de la creme' of polished and elegant DJs with the most amazing voice. His focus from the start was fullfilling every single detail that I imagined for my perfect wedding. His music was the right mix to entertain every guest from 12 to 88 and everyone danced. He was also able to provide a sound system and lapel microphones for the outdoor wedding ceremony and wireless sound inside for three separate rooms. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!!

We think it is easiest to sum up Fred Hart Ent. in one word, professional. We met with about 4 DJ services in the area and the choice was easy. He takes his profession very seriously which gave us great comfort throughout. He listened to what we wanted and made adjustments accordingly. All we wanted was our guests dancing throughout the whole event (no small task), and he was able to give that to us. I was a bit worried that at a small wedding in the afternoon people would not be up for dancing, but Fred made sure that the dance floor was busy all afternoon. My husband and I wanted to dance the horah to honor his Jewish family, but were concerned since only a handful of people in the crowd knew or had ever seen the dance. No one in the wedding party (including the bride and groom) knew how to do the horah yet Frederick Hart led the crowd in a successful, fun horah dance that is one of our best memories of the night. Frederick Hart really helped make my wedding day everything I imagined.

Fred was a pleasure to work with through the entire process. He is incredible at reading a crowd and kept our guests dancing all night. Even two years after the wedding people of all ages are still talking about how much they enjoyed the music.

DJ Fred is extemely professional and is extremely expedient with getting back to you whether by phone or e-mail. If you didn't hear the music you would hardly know he was there. He never made himself a part of the day or reception, he played good music and he derives a personal love story for each couple that everyone got a good laugh and a window into the couple and how they came to their wedding day. You could probably find a cheaper DJ, but having then you'd have more of a campy, corny and clowny feel to your day. You get what you pay for and you will pay for professionalism, but you won't have fear leading up to your wedding day or regret after it!

My wife and I had our wedding and reception at the very classy Glen Foerd Mansion. For this we needed a very classy DJ. Frederick Hart was perfect. If I remember correctly, Mr. Hart had already done over 150 events at Glen Foerd before our event. Because of this he knew EXACTLY what needed to be done to make our day as stress free as possible. By the time I arrived at Glen Foerd on the day of our wedding (2 hours ahead of time), Frederick was already set up inside and outside. I was very impressed. We had guests ranging in age from 15 to 86 and from both the US and France. He had no problem keeping everybody happy on the dance floor. If you're interested in having a classy, professional, and receptive DJ and Master of Ceremonies for your special day, I would, without hesitation, recommend Frederick Hart.

DJ Fred was very professional & right as far as price, but as far as music choice we feel he lacked in that department. We had given him a specific playlist, and we do not feel as though he played what we were looking for. When the bride has to intervine and ask him to "get the party started" the night of the wedding-- that is usually a bad sign. His music was a bit generic. We wanted more "new" songs. Club music & hip hop that is on the radio today. He did play some awesome 80's songs that we wanted, but he threw in a few songs from the 90's that I feel should never have been played. ( for example-- "strike it up"). A few friends had requested some Jay Z songs and they were told he did not have them. Jay Z is a huge artist right now and I feel ALL dj's should have and play his songs. After viewing our video we noticed that yes the dance floor was ususally packed, but mostly with the older folk. He definatlly catered to the older folk, which is not always the way to go. We had a very large number of younger people at the wedding. We feel if he had played more young dance hits that are out right now that the younger crowd would have been out there. I have recieved many comments from both young and old folks about the music and they all said it was just OK. We really wanted to blow people away with the music-- we were not looking for a "just ok" DJ. Overall I would have to say that we were not fully happy with the songs he had chozen to play. I would not reccomend DJ fred if you have a young hip dance crowd at the wedding.
