I would absolutely recommend Freed's Bakery for Wedding Cakes. They were helpful with the design of the cake and listened to everything we wanted! Although we purchased our cake (and extra sheet cakes) for 150 guests, we only ended up having 130 attend. Therefore, we basically had a WHOLE sheet cake left over with no one being able to take it. My advice is when you purchase the cake for your wedding, update them with a guest count and see if it can be changed or altered for your actual number of guests (as I should have). BUT the cake was delicious and beautiful!

The cake was spot on to what I wanted except for the color. Cake tasted good. We went with red velvet cake with cream cheese filling. One complaint is that the cake was not even close to the color we requested or had provided to them. Not sure how dusty purple turned into a maroon kinda color.

Got one of their Brides-on-a-budget cake. The picture of that particular cake was all gold and I couldn't imagine how it would look. Our cake coordinator said they could incorporate our wedding colors (burgundy and gray), but since there was no way to physically see it--I was a little worried. But when our family picked up our cake--it was beautiful. Simple & elegant. When you go into the bakery, they give you a lot of samples to try, which was a good thing because the only taste I got was when we cut our cake. Our guests raved about it though--so I am positive it was delicious. We got one tier with the mocha, and another with the red velvet and both were a hit!

We had wedding in Las Vegas and chose their Vegas theme cake. All guests loved it! They charge $45 for the delivery, which is a bit expensive but the quality and the service of this bakery is excellent!

So, a little background.. We weren't going to do a cake to serve. My sister had an idea that she wanted to gift to us for a cake topper. She was going to order a small, topper-sized cake for us to cut at our reception... Well, Freed's wasn't going to let that happen! My parents took all of her topping materials to the bakery while we were doing some bachelorette activities. They were so excited by the idea and the things she had made that they went WAY above and beyond. Instead of a tent with feet sticking out of it and a fire pit with a "Just Married" sign, we had a full-blown camp site on a cake! It was AWESOME! They added a waterfall, trees, did all the frosting to make it look like our newlywed tent was in a little forest. My husband and I were floored - BEST CAKE EVER! The only downside - we didn't serve it (we had creme brulee and apple crisp - YUM!) and our freezer has a GIANT cake for us to eat on our anniversary :)

Freed's is absolutely the best bakery to work with. This was a destination wedding for us, I had one phone conversation explaining what type of cake I wanted and when we arrived to our reception there it was, our perfect wedding cake. Highly recommend this bakery to anyone getting married in Las Vegas.

We ordered our wedding cake and the groom's cake from Freed's Bakery for our destination wedding in Las Vegas. We were in constant contact with Max, who was always quick to respond to emails and could answer all questions from pricing to cake flavors. We went with Freed's because our wedding coordinator, our reception venue contact, and everyone else we spoke to in Las Vegas praised them. Since we lived far from Las Vegas, we weren't able to do the cake tasting ahead of time. We picked our cake flavors using their website, which had very detailed ingredient listings. On the day of the wedding, our cakes arrived early to the reception site. Our cakes looked better than the pictures we provided to Max and tasted amazing. I would highly recommend them to everyone who plans to get married in Las Vegas.

I planned my Vegas wedding from the East Coast. Freed's Bakery was very accommodating. They helped us choose the right size for our wedding guests and answered all questions I had with ease. We chose one of the Las Vegas themed cakes and they even swapped in our colors for the usaul colors they use. In order to match our colors, they went to David's Bridal to get a swatch of the bridesmaids dresses. The cake was beautiful and delicious. Highly recommend to Las Vegas destination brides.

Thank you to Janie for all your help! The special little wedding cakes were great. You took the Longhorns and created two amazing cakes! Your white cake with the signature filling was absolutely devine!

I ordered a 3-tiered black and white teaparty cake from Freed's bakery. I live in Australia, so communicated almost entirely over email with Max, and he was positively wonderful to deal with. He was professional and incredibly accomodating with all my requests. It was delivered when I wanted it, and looked and tasted amazing. I wish I had more reasons to order a cake like this so I had an excuse to get it again...

Absolutely the worst experience I had during my wedding. It was like pulling teeth to get anyone to call me back. Color of the cake was incorrect, and so was the top of the cake. I must have gone down there 4 times to make sure they could do what I wanted. I found a funny cake where the bride is in the cake and the groom is down on his knee reaching into the top layer of the cake to pull out the bride. So we took a picture of this cake and showed it to the cake lady. Every time I went to their store I was treated like a new customer. The lady making our cake forgot me every time I came back in, so I had to explain our cake several times for she lost our paper work 2 times. This lady said every time, so we will just push the bride in the cake, where I would say no, hollow out the top, place the bride inside with just her hand visible and place the groom next to the hole reaching for her hand. SIMPLE, especially when you are looking at a picture! I even asked for the pastry chef to come out and see what I meant. No problem she said. Just as I thought, the bride was pushed into the cake so you couldn’t even see her. So I spent the first 20 minutes of my reception hollowing out the cake, cleaning off the bride, and then placing her correctly in. But the cake wasn’t tall enough so half of the bride’s body was sticking out. What a mess and a big waste of $600. People don’t care about cake by the end of the night. My guests were too busy drinking to even care about the cake. Please bride’s, forget about the expensive cake and spend more money on photography; because that is all you will care about years from now.

As I also work at many weddings and get to try a lot of cakes, I'm very glad that I had Freed's Bakery make the cake for my wedding! They made me a beautiful three tiered, classic cake with two layers of chocolate cake with raspberry filling, and one layer of red velvet. Both were so delicious, and many of my guests raved about it!

Freed's was great. I had to order through the wedding coordinator, so I can't say I how ordering through them was, but the cake came out awesome. It was exactly what I wanted- looked like something out of a cake show on Food Network. I got three flavors- white cake with irish cream mousse, chocolate cake with chocolate mousse, and almond cake with amaretto mousse- and it was all so delicious!

I checked out their websites and fell in love with their cakes. I emailed them a photo of what I wanted as well as detailed information on how I wanted the cake to look. The price quoted me $3.50/per person x200 guests. We we're pleased and are excited about how the cake will end up looking. =)

Freeds delivered our wedding cake for 30 to the restaurant. The cake was delicious and looked great. However, I thought the delivery charge was a bit high, so they lost a star for that. Otherwise, they were great to work with.

The website made everything so easy. Curt got back to me almost right after I sent an e-mail, and I got the number for the owner right away. We talked about the design and she was extremely nice and helpful. She answered all my questions before I gave them any credit card information. The day of, the cake looked perfect and tasted amazing. YUMMY!

The wedding cake was AMAZING! I had sent a photo of a cake I liked when I placed the order and I was so surprised to see that it looked identical! And we didn't pay that much, either, which made it that much sweeter. :-)

Maggiano's took care of all the arrangements with Freeds for the cake. We didn't have to worry about a thing on this.

They can make a cake that looks like anything you want!! Sure, the cakes are delicious—but the best part is how amazing they look. This was one place I wanted to splurge because I wanted a unique and memorable cake. I love all of the crazy wedding cakes people get these days.

We went to Freeds for a cake tasting, and frankly we were not impressed. We had high expectations based on other people's reviews, but found it to be very disappointing. If the taste of the cake is important to you then this is not the place to get your cake.

Looked wonderful. Tasted wonderful. It was just perfect!

My cake was awesome! Freeds took all the photos I had an mastered the look of everything I liked best from each one. The flavors were great and not too sweet.
