Freeport Bakery did an amazing job on our wedding cake! We had a non-traditional cake that had a ton of detail. When we met for the consultation we left feeling like they got exactly what we were envisioning for our cake and on the day of the wedding when we saw the finished product it was executed perfectly! Not only did it look fantastic, but it tasted amazing! They have some of the best tasting cakes I personally have ever tasted.

We had cupcakes and they were amazing. 80 for about $150. Choose them over any of those little cupcakes shops.

We got our wedding cake from Freeport Bakery and it was absolutely amazing! The girl that held the appointment with us was thorough, yet very friendly and helpful. We had an idea of what we wanted our cake to look like but hadn't put it all together yet. She helped us get a good grip on what we wanted and we walked out the appointment feeling really good about what our cake would look like. Not only did they execute our design to a tee, but the flavor of our cake was to die for!!! Half of our cake was red velvet cake with hazelnut moose and the other half was golden buttermilk cake with chocolate ganache. Both flavor combos were amazing but we especially loved the red velvet and hazelnut combo. We plan to go back on our one year anniversary and order a small cake with that combo again to celebrate our wonderful day!

Freeport Bakery did an amazing job on my cake. It looked spectacular and tasted fantastic. I highly recommend them. They even let me order sheet cakes in addition to the wedding cake as a way of keeping costs down. So I had a small two tiered wedding cake and 2 additional sheet cakes to feed the rest of the guests. This worked out great, so if you are on a budget, I would recommend doing it this way.

Best cake ever at the tasting, but by the time it was delivered and chilled, it really didn't have much flavor left. Looked awesome though.

The way to go for wedding cakes nowadays is a cutting cake and then sheet cakes for the guests that the caterer can cut during the little cake cutting. Soo efficient.

I also recommend this place because they do other bakery things besides wedding cakes; so when they have a wedding cake order, they really dedicate themselves to it. They don't take on as many as a wedding-cake-only bakery so more care is taken and the prices are better!

We had a crazy design for our cake that they took in and ran with so we were thrilled. My only "complaint" (if you can call it that) is that they changed up the design slightly and did not let us know. We were completely satisfied with the cake, both in appearance and in taste :)

Our wedding cake by Freeport Bakery was by far the best part of the day! It was way beyond what I had expected (and I had pretty high expectations) They were very helpful and flexible in the planning of the cake. It turned out beautiful and tasted delicious too!

We ordered our wedding cake here after it was a prefered vendor from our venue. After reading the reviews, we figured we'd give it a shot and set up an appointment. After tasting one bite, we were hooked! We had such a hard time picking flavors because everything was so good. I had never tasted fondant before, only hearing bad things about it. The employee told me that she did care for it either, but they had one of the best. I was so surprised! It was really tastey! We didn't end up going with fondant due to costs, but everything was delicious. We ordered our cake which was decorated on the simple side to serve about 125 guests. Plus a anniversary tier already boxed. Our total was extreamly affordable compared to others in the area. Either way, we would have gone thru Freeport. And the service was awesome. You may think due to the fact that they are a shop also, you may loose some of the service, not at all. We set up an appointment and everything went up hill from there. Down to the day of delivery. I can't recommened them enough!

Cake was very important to my fiancee and I so we met with quite a few bakers and bakeries. Freeport was by far was our favorite cake. Our cake design was quite simple (white fondant with ribbon that we supplied and a cake topper from Etsy) so the price was very reasonable compared to everyone else. We received many complements from our guests about the cake and I look forward to our first anniversary where I will be ordering a smaller version of the top tier of our cake (lemon poppy with raspberry).

MY maid of honor got me a cake from here for my Bridal Shower and it was so delicious. A lot of people recommended me this place.

Freeport Bakery is a great place to get a wedding cake and they worked with our budget. We had a small wedding cake and then sheet cakes for our guests. The whole process was smooth, they were on time with the delivery and even met with our caterer to deliver the cake and they cake was great! We look forward to going back on our one year anniversary to get a small cake to celebrate.

Cake and quality was superb

They were great from beginning to end. They were helpful and responsive to questions and the cake itself was both beautiful and delicious.

just recently got married and got my cake through them....it tasted great. i got the three round teir and a flat. i thought it was a very good idea and save me some money. instead of getting 6- 7 tier i got the 3 tier and a whole flat sheet which was enough to serve my guest. and also get the pillars it makes your cake look taller

The cake was delicious and absolutely beautiful. It was very worth our money and our guess loved it! The service was average not the best but overall I still think its a good bakery.

The cake turned out awesome, delicious and my husband and I were both pleased by the service from Freeport Bakery. We gave in our order, and everything came in on time and in a professional manner- really good place to go to for a cake.

Delicious, delicious, delicious and worth every penny. Our wedding cake was the Boston Cream Torte and our guests just raved about it. We were on a strict budget so we opted for sheet cakes instead of a traditional cake. We found the cake to be very reasonably priced and the staff were so helpful with my fifty thousand questions! I highly recommend Freeport Bakery. Seriously, why go anywhere else?

Wonderful tasting cakes and great pricing. My cake was only $400 and I felt it was worth every penny.

Our cake was delicious and absolutely stunning!!! We felt somewhat slighted at the tasting and were not offered some of the choices available that we had hoped to sample. However, all of my interactions with the Freeport Bakery staff during the remainder of the planning were excellent!

The tasting was ok but we were rushed through it even though we had an appointment. They were more interested in showing me their design book than looking at the design I brought with me.

The cake was good but did not slice well and looked bad in the cake cutting photos.

They were more interested in getting their board back than in any of the other details.

Anyone who has been to Freeport Bakery knows their quality. We knew this was the right place to get our wedding cake the second we had our intial meeting with the cake designer.

The best bakery ever!

Freeport Bakery create the most beautiful and yummy cakes you could ever dream of. Not only that, but everyone that works there is extremely friendly and cooperative. My wedding cake was one of the last vendors I booked and I was so surprised they were willing to do it at such a late notice. The were also willing to deliver the cake, even though I waited until 1 week before the wedding to ask. I would highly recomment Freeport Bakery for your wedding cake.

We were on a very tight budget by the time we got around to ordering our wedding cake. Thus, someone suggested getting an "anniversary cake" instead, which meant a 3 tier cake with little to no decorations - just cake, filling, and frosting. We were fine with this idea, because we planned on decorating it with fresh flowers anyway. The price difference for the same "wedding cake" was near $900+ - our "anniversary cake" was only $250.

Unfortunately, we were told we could get this flavor cake, and this kind of frosting by one person - so we made a plan and I was so happy to have this taken care of. But when we went to order the cake, we were told that we couldn't have the type of cake and frosting we chose because it was not a "wedding cake"

The cake looked fine, just a plain chocolate 3 tier cake - but when I sliced into it there was white filling inside in parts of the cake, and it was supposed to be ALL chocolate mouse. I was a little disappointed, but I have to say it was still very yummy.

I absolutely love what the Freeport Bakery did for me. The cake was delicious and adorable! They were able to match the frosting on the outside to the color of the wedding party which I thought was a lot of fun. They willing to work with us to choose two different flavors so we could have a variety, at no extra cost. They also helped save money by offering to create a smaller cake, and then bake two sheets of cake (the same color and flavor) to save on the overall cost. This actually worked out nicely because while we were cutting the cake at the wedding, the servers were already ready with 200 slices of cake to serve. The service was very nice and I would definitely recommend it, even just for a spot to get coffee and a snack. I love thier food. :)

Let's be clear about one thing: Freeport Bakery has the best baked goods in Sacramento. That was the reason we booked them for our wedding cake, and they delivered. We went with cupcakes and a 7 inch cake to cut into and it was absolutely delicious. Our guests raved about them all night, and many confessed later to sneaking more than one. (Good thing we ordered extras!)

The service, however, wasn't quite as polished and as professional as I think it could have been. The customer service at the tasting was a little less than enthusiastic, but we were too busy licking up the frosting samples to have it affect our decision too much.

This is THE bakery in Sacramento, and despite a few communication snafus, the staff at Freeport Bakery just went with the flow. To find so many vendors for our wedding that absolutely brought our vision to life was amazing, and we feel very lucky. Though the design scheme changed (by us), the color scheme did not, and the cake was everything we'd dreamed of and more. I even went back for our 1st anniversary and ordered a mini-tier cake decorated in the same scheme!

We have used this bakery for all celebratory occasions, and they are consistent and terrific. Prices are not inexpensive, but very proprtionate to the quality and service provided. You get what you pay for at this family owned establishment tucked away in the heart of downtown Scramento, CA.

There is a reason this is the best bakery in Sacramento...not only are their cakes delicious, their staff is wonderful. They matched the color of the icing on our cake to the color of the bridesmaids dresses and were very helpful with picking out the type of cake we wanted. We cannot say enough good stuff about Freeport Bakery...their cakes, cookies, and pastries are to die for!!!

Freeport Bakery created my very special wedding cake. I had used the Freeport Bakery on many occasions before and they have always done excellent work for us. So it was no secret that I would be using Freeport Bakery for my wedding cake. All of the different kinds of cakes they had and could create were very nice. We found the right cake we wanted and went through all of the process with the consultant and then they went to work. The cake tasted wonderful just like we thought it would and the rich fudge frosting and also the golden buttermilk were delicious. I am very pleased with this service and still to this day continue to use them for all needs as they are my favorite place to go for all cakes.

We had a very small wedding but still wanted an amazing wedding cake. It was a two-tiered chocolate cake that was the best cake I had ever tasted. I even went back to get my baby shower cake there. Everything worked out perfectly from the decoration to the taste. I plan on going back to the bakery for every event!

The cake was absoultely amazing! Every cake is baked the day of the wedding. We had a 3 tier vanilla cake with fresh whipped cream and chocolate ganash frosting. The bakery tried to charge us $25 to place the flowers on the top of the cake and our florist did it for free. Everytime we had an appointment we had to wait as they were very busy and scheduled too many appointments at one time.

Freeport Bakery! What can I say? It's absolutely marvelous! The prices, in my opinion, are inexpensive!! But then again, I'm the type of individual who doesn't mind paying extra for great quality, pastries prepared with the highest care and that taste GOOD. To me, pastries that provide great presentation and provide a touch of sophistication to my dinner table and make my guests happy is well worth that extra nickel or dime. As for the service at Freeport Bakery, the folks have always been very friendly, helpful and quick to assist any client that walks into the bakery. To me, the type of service I receive at Freeport Bakery is way better than any bakery in SF (I use to live there for 20 years) or any Starbuck place I've ever been to in Sacramento.

The ambiance at the Freeport is that of a small neighborhood where folks greet each other, smile, sip their teas or coffee and say, "Good Morning" and resume back to reading their paper. Even the folks waiting in line for their pastries or coffee are friendly. Freeport Bakery is the very best!! My suggestion to you...weather you are looking for a wedding cake or a pastry this is the place for you. You won't regret it!

The Wedding cakes were beautifully decorated.

The cake was gorgeous, and tasted amazing!!! Guests had up to 3 slices because it was so good. The consultant was helpful and knowledgeable about which designs would look best on the cake as well. Highly recommended!!!

My cake was stunningly beautiful and scrumtrulcent! Everyone ooed and awed and then gobbled it up!

I would have given Freeport Bakery 5 stars in all categories but for one mistake on their part: We ordered square cakes and received round ones. They didn't give us any discount for the error and when my mom brought it up (in store, in person), they didn't seem to care. I emailed the bakery months later and brought it up. They offered to make us an anniversary cake for free as an apology. I will say this is the very best cake I have ever had in my life -- my husband agrees. We had a Golden Buttermilk cake with Italian Buttercream frosting on the outside and as the filling layers. We still think about the taste of this cake a year later and rave as it being the best cake either of us ever had. Guests finally 'fessed up to having 2-3 servings each, they liked it so much!

Cake (I was told) by a number of sources, was amazing. It was on time, it didn't break the bank, and it was gorgeous! One more can a bride ask for?

I have always loved Freeport Bakery's goods, so, when it came time for our wedding, which was otherwise on a shoestring, we pulled out all the stops for the cake. It was tremendous! In the words of Alton Brown, my favorite dessert is wedding cake. Each tier was a different flavor, all wonderful, and the guests kept coming back for more. The consultation before the fact was a special as the day of! They were busy, but they made the time for a full-on sampling and they were friendly and courteous and fun. My dear wife has often suggested that she would like to go back for another cake consultation for an anniversary! Other than getting married, the Freeport Bakery experience was the best part of getting married.
