When my husband and I began planning our wedding, we knew we wanted our reception to be something our guests would remember. Not only did we want the food to be delicious, we wanted it to reflect our tastes as a couple, while still having our guests leave happy. FLG helped bring that desire into fruition and made our day that much more special.
Fresh. Local. Good is a company that will totally work with you, regarding whatever it is you want or need, but they also know when to tell you that something isn't going to work. While hard to hear at first, in the end, it saved me a lot of trouble. Lee Comer and her staff know the right questions to ask to ensure that everyone understands what needs to happen to make this day go by without a hitch, or if there is a hitch, that they they know exactly how to fix it without you ever noticing.
FLG also worked with our food preferences, made creative changes to cater to our pescatarian needs, and were all around a nice "fit" for our rustic/eclectic wedding, without it seeming forced.
My husband and I were hoping for a memorable reception and I can honestly say that FLG helped us pull that off.

The food was great and the staff was very good to work with. Crystal did everything possible to help me get the most for my money! If I ever need catering services again I will use the Iron Hen.

Fresh.Local.Good food group won out over the competition due to their responsiveness, flexibility, and creativity. I had a lot of dietary restrictions for my guests and they were so easy to work with on solutions. Also, they were able to give us an amazing meal within my small budget. I highly recommend them!

I'm so glad I found this caterer. I live out of state, so communication was very important. They worked with me to create a menu that suited my taste as well as the wedding theme and made sure I was aware of any missing details I failed to think of when planning. Not only did they provide linen and place setting rentals, but the set up was done just the way I wanted. I had a lot of DIY details that I wanted incorporated and I only had to provide them with instructions and they worked to fit them into the catering plan, including our signature drink. The food was excellent and my only regret was that I didn't get to eat much of it during the wedding, but not really a problem, as the chef provides generous servings during the consultation. At the end of the night, they package leftovers, so be prepared to enjoy them for your first week of marriage! Overall, I don't think things could have went any better.

We had a plated dinner for our reception. We were disappointed in the crab cake, which had been very good at the tasting, but very pleased with the chicken and salad. The mac and cheese was okay but the mashed sweet potatoes were unremarkable. The set up of the beverage stations were great and the service seemed good. However, we heard several accounts of the wait staff eating our desserts when some guests did not receive any. On the day of the wedding one of the catering staff snapped at my husband which was unnecessary and after the wedding we had no follow up regarding if we were pleased with their services.

Lee Comer at Iron Hen was wonderful to work with. She was able to listen to our vision and presented many creative ideas to fit within our budget. The food was presented beautifully and tasted amazing! Everyone was impressed and commented on how delicious the food was. Her staff was also friendly and efficient.
I LOVE to work with Lee and her team every chance I get. Not only is their food amazing, and fresh, but their staff is professional, friendly and works hard to make every event spectacular. Not to mention, it's a great "excuse" to hold meetings at The Iron Hen, just to eat their food and sample new things! You can't go wrong with using them for your big day.
