Funny Buggy Creations
I was looking to write a review about this company because I was upset that we paid $15 to get samples of invitations we were interested in ordering. I had the same experience as most people- Shawna was pleasant and helpful in her emails, that is when she actually wrote back. There were times I had to re-write the same questions 2 or 3 times over several weeks before getting a response. After placing an order for samples and never receiving them, we (thankfully) decided to get our invitations elsewhere. I agree with the others- planning and the invitations can be stressful enough, you need a company that provides excellent customer service. We ended up going with a local company (Pennysmith's in Albuquerque) and I am so glad we did.
I recently tried to check the Funny Bunny website and it says they are closed, so I suspect that they finally went out of business.
PLEASE DO NOT TRUST FUNNYBUGGY! Save yourself the pain and heartache. I am so sad to say that Shawna was a nightmare to work with. My invitations arrived 2 1/2 months later than the date we agreed on in our contract. Shawna sent me emails telling me that the invitations had shipped. It was only after they never arrived that I figured out that she never shipped them. This occurred several times. I, the bride, was in tears. I felt so powerless dealing with her over email...and she NEVER answers her phone. Unfortunately it doesn't end here, she still owes us for 2 invitations that we never received (she sent fewer invitations than we ordered) and she never sent us our Thank You cards. She will not return our emails or our phone messages, basically shutting off all communication. We are contemplating filing a police report. I am so sad it came to this. She was the only vendor that caused me stress. Please be warned, don't trust Shawna.
DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! Same as the rest...they're extremely friendly at first but don't get back to you later when there's problems! I never received my last 50 inner envelopes, they had to redo a lot and it took them 3 different shipments to get me the right amounts of everything!
I would not recommend Funny Buggy for invitations. While the designs are fun and modern, the customer service is terrible and certainly not worth the hassle and stress it causes. The finished product wasn't great, either - my invitation had a type-o in it that we had cleared up in the design page process, and the thank you note edges were uneven so I spent extra time trimming each before sending them out.
Sooo not worth the hassle.
This posting might be late for most of you. But, if it helps anyone in the future, then that's great! We purchased our invitations from funnybuggy and we have had nothing short of a nightmare. We actually got our invitations about four days ago...or at least some of them. The first problem we had was that the invitations were delayed about 3 weeks so we were already behind schedule. When we opened the box, we found that we had different amounts of all of our items. There were different amounts of inner envelopes, outer envelopes, invitations, direction cards, RSVP cards, etc. If that wasn't enough, our invitations looked like they were cut with a $10 paper cutter. They were cut so the print on the invitations were off center and no straight. And if that still was not enough, the paper that the invitations were printed on were severely curled. When the invitation was set on a flat surface, it curled and looked similar to a little bowl. The invitations curled so much that they could be stood straight up. We opted for invitations that were only a flat card so they definitely should not have been able to be stood straight up. Anyhow, we called and called funny buggy...the only thing we could ever get out of them were emails. No one EVER answers their phone. It is simply an answering machine. Beyond that Shawna finally gets back to you via email and explains to us that they do NOT give refunds for ANY reason. No matter if your order is short, damaged, etc. For almost $1400, we could have made invitations better ourselves. Or at least we could have gotten what we did at a much lower cost. So, I guess we wait. Wait to see if we ever get anything else. Wedding planning is stressful and busy enough...we don't really have the time to deal with this nonsense, but then again I guess we are at their mercy because we need our invitations. Funnybuggy might seem like a big company, but I really think that it is a one person show. That person is Shawna. I am sure they are able to do some invitations properly as I would assume they wouldn't still be in business, but good luck to all of you who choose to use them. As, it definitely seems that using them is a pretty big gamble.
I worked with Shawna (I believe she works alone although she will have you believe that multiple people work there with her) and while she was really friendly and helpful at first, as soon as I actually paid for the invitations, I found her to be consistently unresponsive to my questions/concerns. On average she would take a week or more to get back to me. The entire process took more than three months...much longer than was repeatedly promised. The invitations were okay, but the coloring wasn't as described nor was it consistent for all of the invitations and the paper quality was not as good as it should have been. And she still hasn't shipped part of my order even though I've paid for it weeks ago and repeatedly asked for the remainder of my order to be sent to me. So far she continues to ignore my emails. I plan on contesting the charges with my credit card. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!!!
We ordered our invitations from funny buggy and we really loved them. They were very accommodating to both mine and my fiance's many requests. It did take time for our order to ship but they were custom and beautiful! Several guests called because they didn't want to send back the response card and ruin the invitation. I recommend them.
I had a very good experience with Funny Buggy and really enjoyed the process of being able to create my invitations exactly as I wanted them to be. I thought she was very helpful throughout. Yes, a day or two would go by without hearing from her, but it wasn't a big deal. My invitations took about 8 weeks from start to finish which in retrospect seems like a long time but we exchanged LOTS of emails and I made LOTS of changes. They were beautiful and original and exactly what I wanted. I paid a lot of money for them. They were nice quality and worth every penny. We received many compliments on how gorgeous they were. Overall, I highly recommend them for invitations.
I had similar experiences with Funny Buggy to those posted here. Initially, Shawna was responsive and helpful, but as soon as I paid for my invitations there was nothing but radio silence. My invitations arrived late and she simply ignored my many phone calls and emails asking about them. She apologized once and said she had a baby during this time, but isn't that something you know about and plan for in advance? In the end, we finally got our invitations and thank you cards (again, very late), but wondering when and if my invitations were going to arrive was not something I wanted to deal with when planning a wedding. I would definitely NOT recommend Funny Buggy.
Shawna is super talented! She not only designed our wedding invitations, she also created fun save the dates and invites for a post wedding bbq that we hosted! I loved my invitations, and they were even more amazing with Shawnas beautiful calligraphy! I highly recommend FunnyBuggy, great value and service, and gorgeous products! I can't wait to order baby announcements from her!
