We didn't purchase our rings here, but I came here to get my rings cleaned right before my wedding so they would be as shiny as my new wedding band. The chain store my husband purchased my ring at did a terrible, 5 second quick "cleaning" of my rings and I was terribly unimpressed with it. At Garwood's, they shined my rings up beautifully and even performed an inspection and let me know that some of my prongs were wearing thin and that I should get it check regularly so I don't lose my stones. They were so friendly and accommodating even though I didn't purchase my jewelry from them. They are currently working on fixing my opal ring for me at a very reasonable price. Overall, very happy with this local, knowledgable business.

We purchased my husband's unique mountain range ring from here. It is custom made in Boulder and this store is the only store that sells the Front Range version of the ring. They were extremely friendly and helpful!

The staff at Garwood's is great. They took the time to educate us and my engagement ring is a unique, customized design. We picked out the engagement ring we wanted and then got to choose the diamond that fit our specifics. We didn't have to go with a pre-made ring, and we were not stuck with a diamond that was already set in a mounting. Instead, we picked the pieces and told the jeweler how we wanted it put together. He did a fantastic job setting the 1-carat round diamond, and I get so many compliments on my beautiful, sparkly ring. Garwood's provided an insurance appraisal with photographs of the jewelry we purchased and we can go in as often as we like to get it cleaned and inspected. Compared to other stores we visited, we found Garwood's to have the best bang for the buck. In addition to the appraisal, our diamond came with an AGS grading certificate and we were able to look at the diamond under a microscope to see how stunning it is. We appreciated the honesty of the Garwood's staff and never felt as though they were trying to trick us or rip us off by selling a crappy diamond or ring like we felt a numerous other stores. We highly recommend Garwood's to other couples looking for great wedding jewelry -- and even anniversary or birthday presents (my husband has brought a few of those home, too!). They are not necessarily the least expensive option, but you definitely get what you pay for -- excellent quality and service.

I highly recommend Garwoods Jewelers for anyone looking for a good jeweler in Fort Collins, CO. We had a great experience with them. They are a family-owned business and have been in the jewelry business for a long time. Randy is very knowledgeable about everything jewelry. We found rings there that we loved, and Garwood's made the purchasing/insuring/etc. very easy to deal with. I actually enjoy going back in to get my ring cleaned (for free) because they remember who I am!

1. Have your jewelry cleaned and inspected at least once every six months. This allows the jeweler to alert you to problems that may arise and to help you repair prongs, cracks in shank, etc. before they become serious problems and lead to loss.
2. It's a good idea to insure your jewelry by submitting appraisals with retail replacement values. Check with your insurance agent to see what items must have documentation and what type of document they require. Sometimes you don't have to have anything written for items under $500 or the original receipt will work as documentation.
3. Remember: You get what you pay for. If a deal seems too good to be true, it is!
