Gathering Light Photography

Meghan has been amazing to work with! I am so happy that we were able to find her. I highly suggest doing an engagement shoot, we were originally not going to do this because we thought we would never be able to afford it, but her pricing packages made it possible. During the engagement session, it only took a few minutes for us to feel comfortable with her which made things go much smoother for the wedding day (because that day is hectic enough, there is no time for camera nerves!). My family was really late showing up to the venue on time for pictures before the wedding, so we didn't get to do the family pics as planned before the ceremony, just the wedding party. But Meghan was persistent during cocktail hour to get them out of the way as soon as possible so we could enjoy the rest of the evening. I am so glad she was able to get us all together and photographed swiftly. Only a true professional could handle that type of chaos! Her artistic style is exactly what we were looking for in a photographer (as artists ourselves, we have high expectations for photography), we were so blown away by the albums we received we had to order another one! I cannot say enough good things about Meghan and Gathering Light Photography, you will just have to find out for yourself!

Gina (Meghan's assistant) was an absolutely incredible photographer. She was on time, professional, and very creative. She is also one of the nicest people I have met! She did a great job, and Gathering Light was quite fast (about a week and a half) getting our photos on the website for us to look at them. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience!

Such a wonderful and easy photographer to work with! We booked Meghan for both our engagement session and our wedding photography, and we couldn't be more pleased! For the beautiful work she provides - I feel like we should have paid her more, and I would hardly ever say that about a wedding vendor! :) She was so flexible with what we wanted and liked, and was just an all-around enjoyable person to be around. She is a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (which is a pretty prestigious honor), and her work definitely reflects that. She captured the spirit and feeling of our entire wedding and it was such a joy to have her and her husband there! She is one of the very few photographers I know of that had her wedding package priced by the "event" so to speak, and not by the hour. She and her husband arrived about 2pm (our wedding started at 4pm and we did all of our group pictures after the wedding), and they stayed until 10:30pm and the reception ended at 11pm. She did not charge us for travel even though our event was in Big Sky and they are based out of Bozeman. I would recommend this photographer to ANYONE!! She also provides you with a DVD of all the images taken 6 months after the wedding. During that 6 month time frame the pictures are hosted on a professional photography site where you can purchase prints from there - at pretty reasonable prices! I loved Meghan's flexibility and enjoyed our fantastic pictures!!!

I throughly enjoyed every second I worked with Meghan! She is very artistic and has visions for each photo she takes before she takes it. She can look at something and create a masterpiece out of it by adding a certain angle or color to it. She is a visionary and an absolute dream to work with! I cannot wait to work side by side with her again. She is truly gifted and a genuine sweetheart. She has a gift and the most amazing personality to compliment that gift. I highly recommend her for any of your functions!

As a focused artist would, Gathering Light Photography was taking the time to create great photos using the inside of the building, and of course, used the beautiful mountain backdrop as a way of capturing the wedding at Breckenridge just a few weeks ago. We look forward to working with her again soon!

Meghan and her husband are amazing to work with. They really connect with their clients and because of this connection, they are able to take amazing photos. Also, because there are two of them, they are able to be in two places at the same time and capture moments that might be lost without a second shooter.
