Reviews for Gayles Bakery
They provided my dream wedding cake along with the coolest groom cake ever. People came up and said it was the best tasting wedding cake they had ever had! My husbands grooms cake had a tank bursting out of it. It looked so real! They did such a great job and were so sweet to work with.
About Gayles Bakery
A Memorable Wedding Cake
Be as creative as you wish when selecting your wedding cake! The sky is the limit when choosing size, flavor, filling and design. Here at Gayle's, we use only the highest quality ingredients: farm fresh eggs, sweet creamery butter, pure vanilla, rich chocolate and the finest imported liqueurs.
Cake Flavors
Vanilla Genoise ~ a French sponge, light and eggy with a fine golden crumb.
Chocolate Devil's Food ~ moist and rich, with custard added to the batter.
Poppyseed ~ vanilla pound cake laced with poppyseeds.
Hazelnut Sponge ~ European style cake made almost entirely of finely ground hazelnuts.
Carrot ~ a delicious combination of carrots, walnuts, raisins and cinnamon.
Spice ~ a moist butter cake made with buttermilk.
Banana ~ a dense, moist cake loaded with fresh bananas.
Fillings
Cakes are filled with Gayle's wonderful French buttercream made with sweet butter and pastry cream, available in the following flavors: vanilla, chocolate, almond, mocha, raspberry, strawberry, apricot, lemon, chocolate-hazelnut, praline, creme de menthe, Myer's rum or Grand Marnier.
You may choose one of the additional fillings at no extra charge: raspberry, strawberry, or apricot jam, chocolate ganache, lemon curd, cream cheese, German chocolate filling, chocolate mousse, or marzipan. Seasonal fresh fruit is available at an additional charge.
Icings
French Buttercream ~ a wonderfully light combination of sweet butter and pastry cream, with a natural ivory color. Our buttercream icing is available in the following flavors: Vanilla, Almond, Myer's rum, or Grand Marnier. These flavors do not alter the ivory color of the buttercream. Of course, you may choose any of our other flavors as well.
Ganache Glaze ~ a shiny smooth semi-sweet chocolate glaze, poured over the cake.
Marzipan Shell ~ a delicious confection made of almonds and sugar. The marzipan is draped over buttercream, and can be tinted in many colors, creating a smooth sculpted look.
White Chocolate ~ a porcelain smooth layer of white chocolate draped over buttercream, and can also be tinted in many colors.
Deposits & Samples
A $50 non-refundable deposit will reserve your day until you are ready to place your order in person. The balance of your wedding cake is due one month prior to your wedding day. Once you have made your reservation, two complimentary samples can be ordered for you. We have pre-set wedding cake sample combinations available Friday-Sunday, and custom samples may be ordered Monday-Thursday.
