DO NOT PURCHASE A SETTING FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! I had them reset my diamond in 2005 in a 14k band with a braid insert .. for $1200.00. Well the braid fell out recently and now they won't replace or fix it. According to them I was too rough on it! Really you've got to be kidding me!!! I expected the ring to become a family heirloom. This is ridiculous ... so think hard before you consider this company!!! Forget the " GelinAbaci rings are crafted to last forever" because they don't!
went thru authorized dealer in NY. forget name. will get this info later. some jewelers could give better pricing so ask around. downside is jeweler isn't convenient. must mail ring for whatever.
I bought a Gelin Abaci TR-B187 in July 2011 for just about $10,000, after a few months I noticed that 2 of the small diamonds fell out. I contacted the jewelry store in in Novi, Michigan where I bought it. I then took the ring to the jewelry store (a hours trip one way) to show them. The jewelry store then contacted the company. After I got home, I got a call from the jewelry store, the company wanted $100+ to fix it (this is only a few months after I bought it!), the company also said there was no way that there were any defects in the ring, therefor I was to blame because I had to have damaged it! I told them I spend most of my time in bed (I have had 4 spine surgeries) - it got down to they would not fix it without the $100+ first. After much discussions with the company and the jewelry store and myself (I even found the phone number for the company which was not easy), the jewelry store finally decided to send the company the $100 so the ring could be fixed. After I received the ring back, I noticed there was something wrong with the ring, it kept catching my duvet cover. I called the jeweler about June 2012, they said very abruptly that I would have to go out and get some insurance on it and send it to them, I told them I was going to have another spine surgery and would not be able to get out very soon. There were many complications with the surgery, and I only started to walk about 2 weeks ago "kind of". The ring still catches my duvet cover, they have very bad customer service and my jewelry is not up to standards!
