Reviews for Gene Juarez (Southcenter Mall)
Well, maybe I shouldn't write a review because I haven't used Gene Juarez for an actual wedding, but I just want to warn people that if you are planning to use them for your wedding, it's probably a good idea to try out your stylist first to make sure you're on the same page because I had a really BAD experience at Gene Juarez with a girl who didn't know what she was doing and absolutely BUTCHERED my hair. She looked like she was probably right out of school and she seemed overwhelmed trying to tame my hair. Anyway, it was a sad, sad scary thing and I wouldn't want it to happen to someone on their wedding day.
Gene Juarez at Southcenter Mall was fabulous! I went into get my consultation 2 weeks prior to my wedding and they hit my desired hair and makeup look right on the nose. sadly once I got home the makeup had melted off and made my face completely breakout. On the day of my wedding I expressed that to them and they searched out the answer to keep my makeup on and from making my skin breakout free - Well they did it! I could have slept in my makeup and it still would have been on in the morning and my hair the same way... My Hair and Makeup looked just as good when I got it done @ 11am as it did at 11pm. I was so blessed! I will be going back for special occasion hair and makeup again!
I was thoroughly pleased with my bridal experience at Southcenter Gene Juarez! I have naturally curly hair, and I haven't found many who are skilled with it. But this location has 3 stylists who still continue to amaze me. The hairstyle trial went perfectly. My stylist was open to input and she really was thorough. On the day of, we ended up coming in with 3 for hairstyles and 2 for pedis. My girls loved getting spa pedi's. The treatment was top notch, detailed and luxurious.
Be warned!!! I had an absolute nightmare of an experience at Gene Juarez South Center. I went in to have my cut. I did not get what I asked for. Instead, I got a major butchering. The stylest (Dayna) sensed my tension over her work when I asked her to stop taking any more length off of my bangs. I was sent to the counter to pay with my robe on that was covered in my hair. When I showed the girl at the counter the robe that I was wearing absolutly covered in hair, she didn't seem to really care and asked if I needed any cash back to leave the stylist a tip. I told her absolutely not and that I have been to Gene Juarez many times and that I have never had such an incredibly mortifying experience.
In the end my hair will grow back, but I will tell as many people as I can about this horrifying experience.
