George's Island - Boston Harbor Island

My wedding was on a Sunday, so our rehearsal dinner was on a Saturday. This meant huge buy-out costs for most Boston restaurants, but my mom-in-law ended up finding out that there is catering and special events done out on George's Island in Boston Harbor. George Silva of Silva Platters put together a great charter boat, clambake, recreational activities, and even canolies from Mike's Pastry for the boat ride back to Boston. For most of our out-of-town guests that we invited, it was the quintessential New England experience.
