George Street Photo & Video

After meeting with other photography companies, we knew we wanted to go with George Street because not only did they offer the best package, but the work of their photographers is beautiful & artistic. We chose our photographer, Brian Cowen based on dvd's we were shown on photographers whose style we had wanted which was candid & photojournalistic. Brian's photographs all seemed to tell a story that you felt drawn to, he captured such beautiful images and has a talented eye for detail. Our wedding coordinator (which was part of our package), Emily Spain was such a pleasure to work with & provided exceptional customer service. She responded to my numerous questions & had great suggestions when we were undecided on a location for our post ceremony pics. Brian showed up early to the church, was such an easy going guy & very professional. He captured amazing images without being intrusive the entire day! When we looked at our pictures, we'd often ask each other "when did he take that one?!" We are beyond pleased with how our pictures turned out & cannot thank George Street or Brian enough for capturing all of those special moments that we wish we could relive over again, although thanks to the images Brian captured, we can! How's this for a small world? When I went back to work, my boss & I were talking about my wedding & I mentioned how our photographer drove all the way from Wisconsin & it turns out that Brian had photographed her brother's wedding the week after mine! A talent like Brian's is evident in the passion he showcases in his work. I highly recommend George Street & Brian Cowen!

The photography package for 10 hours is closer to 1000, but we're spending more to buy an album so we can get all our digitals earlier. However, if you wait a year, they give you all the digitals for free. I would want to be able to meet the photographer we choose before the event, but they don't allow for that.

We definitely recommend George Street for their photography services! We were able to look over the available photographers' portfolios at the time of our booking and choose our favorite (for no cost, unlike some other companies). We chose Freddy as our photographer because we liked his style, and the woman helping us said he had such a great personality. And he was great! He was friendly and cheerful all day (and it was a long day!), and took beautiful pictures! We did have to pay extra to have him for an extra hour because our ceremony was early in the day, but he had no problem being there for all that time. (and he actually arrived a little early!) Everyone we worked with in the offices was very nice and friendly as well. We decided against getting a videographer, so no review there, but we thought the photography was wonderful!

Fantastic! We were looking for a photography company that was easy to work with, and we found that at George Street. They have very reasonably priced set packages, so you don't have to weed through all the customizations and "extras" that are in too many wedding vendor contracts. I used George Street Photography for my July 18, 2009 wedding at The Narnia Estate in Lemont, Illinois. The photographer I selected was Kelly Poskus because when I saw her sample slideshow I wanted to cry, and I had no idea who these people were in the pictures! Sure enough, when I looked at my photos, my eyes welled up with tears! She captured the emotion of the day so well! She didn't miss a moment, even to the point where I can't believe she was able to capture me walking down the isle w/ my Dad, not only from the front but also the back! She was quick! The staff was amazingly helpful in all of the planning and decison making that went along with this. At our intial meeting, after we talked a little bit about what I would like to see they were able to give a few photographers to choose from that they thought I would like (and work well with). I'll tell you, they really listen over there! They were even happy to make recomedations outside of photography and videography. George Street was a wonderful choice for our photography and videography! When I booked I was a little nervous because the packages they offered for both services seemed too good to be true. However the results met all my expectations. Our photographer Chris was so nice and genuine and he managd to get great shots all day! I have recieved compliment after compliment on our wedding pictures.
George street made this whole process easy. They have people in the studio covering every angle, so putting the album and video together was a piece of cake. We loved what they designed and were thrilled with the quality.

"George Street was referred to me by my sister. She hadn't used them, but her friend from college is the owner. I was truly blown away by how helpful all of their staff is. I had some questions about a few things I needed to fill out in my photo request paperwork, and I could ask questions to anyone through email or phone! Whatever was easiest for me! I could not believe after researching so many different photo studios in the chicagoland area that they were located right downtown and had the best prices and the best packages! Super great price for a wedding photographer in the Chicago Land area! Most other vendors were a min. of $300 more for much less included! I found George Street through coworkers of mine who had used them and I can honestly say that we were both happy with them and the service they provided!

After going to many bridal shows and intervieiwing a handful of photographers, my husband Greg and I chose George Street because we loved the pictures and also loved the price! It was the only all day photographer we could find for less that $2,000 AND that price included a bridal book!! Our photographer Howard was fantastic. He took charge and made himself right at home with us and our families. He shot pictures he thought were best in the specific lighting and decor, but also welcomed our input. I was, and am still very pleased with George Street and would recommend them to any bride & groom.

I cannot say enough positive things about George Street Photo & Video. I must have researched over 50 photography studios in the Chicagoland area trying to find the perfect photographer for a decent price. One of the greatest things about George Street is that they have one package and it includes everything. Everyone is always looking to tack on extra fees for a wedding and it made me feel so comfortable knowing that they would not do that. The staff at the studio is cheerful, helpful, prompt to respond to emails and phone calls, very informed, and overall a delight to work with. We absolutely loved our photographer, Chris. He has the perfect disposition for his job. He is so friendly and remains completely calm, no matter what happens. He was great with the kids, the mothers, and the drunken revelers alike. My mother would not stop raving about him and every bride knows how tough it can be to please a mother of the bride. His photos were just as great as he was. He took incredible shots and he was so discreet, I didn't even know he was there most of the time. He never stood in anyone's way, but still got amazing shots. We took a combination of posed and candid shots and they call came out beautifully. He has a lot of creative ideas for photos and they looked great. I highly recommend Chris and George Street Photo and Video. The quality is impressive and you really can't beat the price.

George Street Photo and Video did a great job with our wedding photography. They were professional before and during the wedding. They got tons of great shots that are high quality and beautiful. I was a little upset when I realized that many pictures were taking of the groom's parents dancing but none of my own parents dancing, but they got great shots of almost everything else. It's also nice to have the all-inclusive package so that you don't have to worry about picking out which things you want, you get them all. I would definitely recommend them to other couples.

Wow!!! Can't say enough good things about using George Street for my wedding. They had the best prices in the Chicago market and I loved their review process for picking the photographer I wanted to work with. Many studios pick the photographer for you, but George Street gives you the opportunity to view specific photo catalogs and find the photographer that fits best with your personal style. Personally, I wanted a photographer who was comfortable with unique and fun shots -- more of an artistic style rather than the traditional formal shoot. If this is what you are looking for ... ask for Dan Gin. What a find!!! He was the consummate professional, courteous and unassuming, but somehow appeared at the right moments. My guests, and my husband and I loved his sense of fun and his attitude was infectious -- even the littlest kids were hamming it up. George Street was my favorite vendor of the whole wedding planning process. I just ordered my album style and can't wait to go through the photos again.

We booked George Street for our wedding in April. We are so happy with the way our photos turned out, they're so clear! All of our famiy members keep ranting and raving about how they've never seen such amazing photographs. George Street makes your hectic wedding planning so much easier, they have one package and are flexible when it comes to what you want in it and what you don't want. You'd be making a huge mistake by not booking them for your wedding photographer and videographer!

From the moment we stepped into their office, we had a feeling they would be our photographers. Not only did we get every question answered promptly, (I consider myself an more than amateur photographer), they answered questions before we even asked them. Once the time came for our big day, we had the pleasure of having Dan be our photographer. HE WAS INCREDIBLE! Everything we wanted to shoot and more. His quick little photo ops were perfect. The worst part of the whole process was waiting for our pictures, (it didn't really take that long!) as we were so excited to see what Dan captured. We have been so pleased with our photos from our wedding. Dan, our photographer, was outstanding. He was personable, fun and worked so well with everyone attending our wedding. We have gotten numerous compliments about how great the night went and how incredible our photos are. We are so thankful for such terrific memories of our big day.

My fiancee and I both loved the quality of the pictures that we saw with GeorgeStreet compared to other photography studios. GeorgeStreet seemed to capture the raw emotion of the event, and not just the typical stand and pose shots. We also loved that we didn't feel as though we had been robbed blind by their pricing. With the all-inclusive package they offer, we had our engagement photos, wedding photos, wedding album, and all the pictures and formatting changes we wanted at one low price. With such a tight budget, we were happy that we didn't have to sacrifice quality for affordable pricing. I would highly recommend GeorgeStreet. As a matter of fact I have already sent two bride-to-be's to their business. We really enjoyed working with George Street for our wedding. We live out-of-state and I was really nervous about planning everything long distance. Needless to say, it was unfounded because they have fantastic customer service and were always available for questions. Our photographer, Terri R., was wonderful and great to work with. She called a few days before the wedding to make sure she knew exactly what we were looking for in terms of style and what pictures were important to us. She fit right in and went with the flow and did not stop taking pictures all day! Our pictures turned out amazing and we were overall really satisfied.
