I had used Stephanie and Georgie Lou's for a candy buffet at my friend's bridal shower in June. When I first learned of the candy buffet as a favor item, I thought it was a wonderful idea and couldn't wait to use it at a party. Stephanie took her time coming up with candies that incorporated my friend's wedding colors and theme into the buffet and also the dietary restrictions of my bride. It was just gorgeous by the time she completed the set-up. All of our guests loved the buffet and it was a huge hit with the kids as well.

I found Stephanie's candy shop through a friend that highly recommended her. She has a huge selection of candy and colors. I went to meet with Stephanie to discuss a candy buffet. I had already purchased my own glassware so I brought pictures of the jars with me. She sat with me and helped me choose the perfect candy for each jar. She had amazing suggestions and ideas! My Candy Buffet was a huge hit and people are still talking about it! Thanks so much!

We met Stephanie the owner of Georgie Lou's Candy first at a bridal show. We were amazed by the spectacular, colorful displays of candy. Once we found out how affordable a candy buffet could be we were set. Stephanie worked with us to find a set up to suit our wedding. We left most of the details in her capable hands, and were astonished by the beauty of the display at our wedding. She worked with our themes and colors and our guests were floored by the candy display. There was more than enough candy for everyone, and they all loved her choices. We highly recommend a candy buffet from Geiorgie Lous's with it's colorful apothacarie jars and exquisite candy to excite guests eyes and stomachs.

FAQ for Georgie Lou's Retro Candy & Gifts
A: Ordering bulk candy from us saves brides the cost of shipping and handling charges, which can get very high when dealing with pounds and pounds of candy. Why spend money on shipping charges that you could spend on other things--like more candy! We also can make sure the candy will be the freshest around, and we can't say that for some online sites. After we get the candy ready, brides simply come by the store to pick it up. We also process credit cards through our store terminal, so your sensitive payment information isn't being sent through the internet and possibly stored on some server for a period of time.
Q: I see a lot of websites offering custom favor boxes--why should I choose to work with you over them?
A: We offer personalized service when it comes to all of our brides, and we try our best to custom design favors or their tags to be unique instead of the cookie cutter tags you will see on bridal favor websites. Most favor websites are affiliates of the the same larger company and don't offer truly unique, customized favor containers and tags. You are bound by the few choices in fonts, colors, and designs that every bride using them is bound to, so your favors can end up looking like everyone else's. On our fully customized options, we actually design the tags or labels based on your unique wedding theme and colors, so we have a lot more flexibility.
Q: I want to do my candy buffet myself--do you recommend doing this?
A: First and foremost, you should cater a candy buffet to save yourself time, stress, and most likely, money. We put together candy buffets all the time, so we already know what it takes to pull one off. We have access to candy that you don't--tons more than we carry in the store, and we buy our candy wholesale because we are a retail candy store as well. Until you invest the time and effort into gathering your supplies and setting everything up and the money into candy, jars, scoops, labels, ribbon, etc., you will most likely have MORE money invested than if you let us cater it for you. And, we offer delivery, set-up, tear down, and pick up of everything. You literally have to do nothing but answer a few questions and pay your invoice. That's it!
Q: When should I book my candy buffet?
A: As far in advance as possible. We do not double book, so to make sure your date is available, book your date. Fine details can be worked out within the last two months or so before your event, but once a date is booked, it's gone.
